I asked how can this be resolved and have heard nothing further from them. If you want a reliable and trustworthy company, I advise you to go elsewhere. Stephen was very helpful with providing estimates and I went ahead and decided to go with them. They were able to complete the work within a week which worked out perfectly with my schedule. Unfortunately, after reviewing the work that had been done, I was very unimpressed. Bad shoe molding was used, a boot print was left in the wood, marks were left on the walls, and there were places on the hardwood that were clearly not sanded. They also managed to trip the power and failed to mention anything to me about it. I was not able to enter the home for a couple of days because of the floors, so the puddle under the fridge was a nice surprise as well as the spoiled food inside the fridge. I immediately contacted Stephen and he expressed concern and ensured me all these problems would be taken care of immediately. I reluctantly agreed to give them a second chance. The second time around, the floors looked much better and they managed to fix many of their mistakes. Unfortunately, if you are at the right angle you can still see the boot print, there are still some areas where the floor was sanded a bit uneven, and there are places where the shoe molding was placed very unprofessional like. I was charged the original amount we agreed upon but was given a bottle of floor cleaner. (I am a man of my word and accepted to pay them a specific amount; and although I do not believe they kept their end of the deal, I'll keep my word.) Overall, very nice folks running this business, but unfortunately the contractors they hired to represent their company did a sub-par job. I may use them again in the future for the simple fact that when I pointed out their mistakes, they were quick to address them and were very professional the whole time.

The quality of the product and the workmanship of the installers was superb. We were elated with the new look of our home. Many years later, wear and tear and the pacing of a couple of dogs necessitated the refinishing of our floors. Once again, I contacted Beers. I decided to have the work done while I was out of the country on vacation. Because I live in a townhome and there was very limited space to store the furniture, I rented a PODS moving and storage cube and had it parked in front of my home. Beers employees moved all of my furnishings out of the area to be refinished and into the storage cube. Safely locked up, they were then ready to tackle my floors. They completed the work while I was away. I wasn't inconvenienced by having to live in the house while it was undergoing these renovations. When the work was completed, they moved all of my furnishings back into my home and Voila! I returned to a home with floors that looked like brand new. A bonus was that I returned from a great vacation and didn't have to live through all of the construction. I was especially pleased that all of my furnishings survived the ordeal without so much as a scratch! Kudos to Beers and their employees for a first-class job. It couldn't have been easier for me. The thing I remember most about that first meeting was the personalized board they had up welcoming me and my spouse (Mr. and Mrs. D) - a really nice touch, albeit slightly incorrect as I was there with my husband, and when we went back to pick out selections they had updated it to be somewhat more accurate (The D. Family). Jim, the owner, was straightforward when we spoke with him and offered a competitive price compared to the other estimates we received. After we accepted the contract, Jim's sister and the company designer, Kim, was particularly patient with us as we spent upwards of two hours picking out the various components for the new bathroom, successfully finding solutions to mediate style disagreements between me and my husband. Overall, we were both very happy with our selections and excited for the new bathroom to be complete. The workers were excellent and displayed great professionalism during the remodel. The work began in early December, but was stalled a little bit due to the cabinet and vanity not arriving in time. The bathroom was functional, though not finished, before the desired Christmas date. It has been three weeks since the job completed and we have been satisfied so far with the bathroom. With the work, there were two (both immediately fixed) problems that stood out: First, the new toilet was installed slightly at an angle. We emailed Cardigan of the problem. When they came out the next time to continue working on the bathroom, the worker immediately saw the toilet was not level, apologized that he didn't catch it when he installed it, and made the toilet level to the floor. Second, when we started using the shower a week after installation, the shower was draining extremely slowly. Again, I emailed and called regarding this issue, and they fixed it that day despite Jim attending a funeral that morning. One of the workers came by that evening with a snake and fixed the problem. I was extremely impressed at their responsiveness. Overall, I am giving five stars due to the personalization, work quality, responsiveness, professionalism of the workers, and our happiness with the final result. When we finally move on to remodeling our kitchen in a few years, we will definitely be looking at Cardigan. The attached pictures include a picture of the shower before the bathroom was painted, and a picture of the other side of the bathroom after all of the work was completed.

I had three rooms that I wanted to install hardwood floors; they helped me select the moderately priced flooring that most closely matched the existing floors. The hardwood flooring has a 50 year warranty compared to Home Depot's 10 year warranty, with multiple poor reviews. Compared the quality myself and the difference is obvious. I'm ecstatic with the quality of the installation done. One last note: my selected width (2.25) ended up being unavailable so we changed it to the 3.5 width., no additional charges.
