The review posted on 7/15/2017 is part of a smear campaign brought on by 3 women who are not in good standing nor family. The personal attacks started over the past weekend. All accusations made are false. Unfortunately, our society allows for ill mannered people to terrorize others. Please note the tone of the review on 7.15.2017. No family member witnessed such abuse. No family member rescued a dog from training. The accusation about the Mastiff is false. I have personally witnessed Bob with this dog. The dog DOES NOT react by "shaking, running out of the house, cries, nor has Bob yelled at the dog." Bob's facility is clean and very well kept. All three women have been asked by family to stop these personal attacks. And all three have continued to behave in a threatening manner. The voracity at which the review is written should explain the type of person the reviewer is. Now here is my review of K-9 Pack Leader. Bob has helped me with my pack of dogs. All three very different in breed, personality and age. When my pack met Bob, all three recognized a strong leader. The dogs are transformed.... they are happy, secure, and well mannered. Bob then taught me how to be a stronger leader. As a result, the relationship with my pack is stronger. I have witnessed Bob train dog owners in their home. During the initial consultation families are not confident in their role as a true leader which creates a unstable dog. With Bob sharing his gift, helping people understand the leadership skills needed, postiive changes happen for the dog. By the end of the lesson dog and family find balance. Both are living together in peace and harmony. With his experience and knowledge, Bob has transformed RED ZONE dogs into adoptable animals. He has saved many dogs from being euthanized. The MIDWEST MASTIFF RESCUE does support Bob and relies on his professional knowledge and facility to "rescue, rehabilitate and rehome" dogs. Bob has received dogs that are malnurshided, physically, physiologically abused and neglected. He has found the right home for each dog. And has educated the families to care for the Mastiff's placed in their homes. I will share with you the correct story about the dog mentioned in the post dated 7/15/2017. Bob received Elsa from Midwest Mastiff Rescue for rehabilitation and rehoming. Elsa was rescued from horrible conditions. She was very unstrusting with humans. Bob worked with her for 3 months. Elsa began trusting, she built confidence and was rehabilitated to her potentional. Elsa did bond with Bob's brother, a very sweet Veteran. Elsa and Bill are perfect companions. The love of a dog brings life to the elderly who are otherwise alone. Bob paid for Elsa's adoption fee and delivered a great dog to Bill. Thank you for your time. I have three small dogs. 2 Males and 1 Female. The two males had their issues with minor fights since the second male came into the house. However, after moving the fights escalated, for what we thought was no reason. This resulted in the new small dog being rushed to the ER vet with a lot of minor damages. By minor I mean that he had a lot of bleeding open wounds, deep muscle bruising and damage from the side of his face down to the paw of one leg. This was a very dramatic fight to a point that we were having to keep the males separate. Both dogs aggression levels were getting out of hand with each other and despite having spent over $2,000 on professional trainers NOTHING was working. Our choice had come down to which dog we were going to get rid of. Their aggression was something we did not want to have happen around friends, family or even children as when they would fight everyone around them was also fair game for the aggression. I really did not want to have to get rid of the dogs so I did a lot of research and found Bob. He is one of the few behavior specialists in the area for dogs. Please keep in mind this is different from training. Behaviorists work to change your dog's behavior. They are not there to teach the dog to sit on command and give it treats. They will show you WHY your doing is doing what it is doing and how to get it to behave the way it needs to in a way the dog can understand. After dealing with the aggressive males for so long my husband and I were exhausted mentally and physically. The stress levels were through the roof from having to keep both male dogs in separate areas all the time. We had a home lined up for one of the dogs but I chose to call Bob. Bob helped us do what we thought was impossible at the time. Bob came out quickly to handle the situation because at this point one dog was going to kill the other. After spending time with us and the dogs Bob was able to not only get them under control but give us what we needed to control them. I would like to say again this is NOT training, this is taking back control. We have worked with our dogs for weeks to get the achievements we have made with them. It takes hard work, dedication and a strong will. The newest dog has been a challenge to control and he had previously been through several households for similar issues. For over a week that little dog kept challenging me and it came to an end after a 2 hour fight over who owned the sofa. Going through dealing with aggressive dogs is hard. I have been bitten, snarled at, barked at and even run away from but it is worth it. As of right now both dogs live peacefully together, play together, and even walk together. They can have treats together (treats use to cause instant bloody fights). This is nothing short of patience and hard work. They can calmly sit in my lap without fighting or snarling at each other and both give respectful space. The charging at other dogs and animals has slowed but that is still being worked on. For anyone going through such a difficult time as we had I urge you to call Bob. Understand that it will be hard. He will point out what is wrong but show you how to fix it. He is not a trainer to show your dogs how to do cute tricks. He is a behaviorist that can fix even edgy, anxiety driven fighting dogs into calm peaceful dogs that are happy to be around. read more

As far as my family, Simba and I are concerned, Bob is truly amazing and has a true gift with dogs and helping them be the animal they should and want to be. My sister was given a 4 month old puppy that was ignored and wasn't taken care of, so, needless to say, he wasn't well behaved. My husband and i have a golden retriever named Simba, and her dog was much better behaved with Simba, so she started taking Simba to her house almost everyday. Unfortunately, this confused Simba and he became very afraid of people and very aggressive and unfortunately, bit 2 people, luckily friends of the family. My husband was killed suddenly and then his personality became even worse because he felt like he had to protect and take care of me. After my husband's death, he bit 3 more family members. I couldn't even take him for a walk without him charging people and wanting to bite them. No one except my daughters could come in the house, and even my one daughter was fearful of him. The last straw was one day I was taking him outside to go for a walk. My neighbor was on her driveway sweeping and he charged her and luckily, I held tight to his leash, but he slammed me into our pillar on the porch. I was DONE!! Our vet Tara Brooks of Affton Vet told me about Bob and his work with pack leaders. She felt he definitely had a pack leader issue. When Bob came to my house, in about 2 minutes he said Simba was beyond us helping him and he'd have to go with Bob. I was sad about letting him go, but we knew Bob was our last resort. When Bob picked Simba up to take him to his house, it took 45 minutes of Simba pacing back and forth on our back deck to be calm enough to go with Bob. About a week later, Simba came back a new dog. It's always a work in progress, but Bob explained to us how Simba felt like he had to be the pack leader and Simba was definitely not a pack leader. He said dogs normally become submissive or aggressive when they're afraid, and of course, Simba took the aggressive route. Simba was always so sweet, we didn't understand what was going on when this started to happen with him. Simba now wags his tail and is happy again and goes to dog parks and plays with all his dog friends and people pet him and he has done phenomenal. Bob saved Simba and my family and I'm sure where we'd be right now with Simba if it wasn't for Bob. I have a deep respect for Bob as a person and the wonderful work he does with his dogs. Bob, thanks for teaching me how to be a pack leader. When we adopted our two dogs from a shelter, they were about 9 months old. The problems they came with just intensified. They went to basic obedience class, but I was missing something. They were very aggressive to my husband, our grandchild and some other people. They barked while in kennel at anything that made a noise. I couldn't leave the house unless they were in their kennels. (We are rural and unfenced.) All of this was "before" Bob Laut. Bob came to our home where he could observe the interactions between the dogs and us. Bob taught my husband and me how to be pack leaders. This is what we were missing. Basic obedience is not enough. When Bob visited our home he was greeted by one very disturbed dog, Gracie and Norton, not so disturbed. Through Bob's guidance and knowledge, we have been able to control the barking, aggression towards others and I can leave them outside and they don't follow my car. However, as one dog improved, the other dog seemed to feel that the leadership role was now his. Wrong! We are now training Norton as we began to and continue to train Gracie. Training continues every day, every time. I took notes as we worked with Bob. I use the notes to reflect on and to remind me of the things that Bob taught me. I even posted notes by the kennel and by the door. These are also great reminders. Retraining is hard work, but the results are fantastic. Bob really knows what he is talking about. Recently, we had visitors, who in the past wouldn't get out of their car unless my husband or I was there. Our guests have remarked on how great the behavior change is. I hardly have words because it is so jaw-dropping (in a magnificent way) to see the changes in the first puppy I work with after the pup got back from this camp. The one year old puppy is named Toby and he is a Shih Tzu who had issues with barking, jumping, biting, aggression (which was the biggest issue for us), and generally just too much negative behavior. I am the dog-walker and boarder/sitter for Toby, but his owners took him to the camp after the consult and he came back with the behaviors of an adult, well-trained dog. He no longer barks at all, he jumps and whines some when anyone first walks in every once in awhile, but stops after a few seconds and will sit and watch until we give him attention. His aggression is entirely absent now. I have another family who uses me for Doggy Daycare with their 10 month old Husky mix and she is named Indigo. Her unwanted behaviors are almost IDENTICAL to Toby in the past, so after talking to the family and doing training with them, I realized that Indigo does a much better job listening with me and not biting or being aggressive most of the time, then she does at home BECAUSE the family is inconsistent and get overwhelmed and tired, which makes Indigo suffer. So I mentioned Bob Laut a few times and finally JUST got the family to at least call him to talk some. I REALLY hope they understand that the expense is higher, but the reward is lifelong peace with this pup and they would spend significantly more if they tried to keep using traditional dog classes for her, as she'd need them for life since the owners are not "trained" well either. He also invited me to come to the camp during a few days of it so that I could learn more about how to improve my own training with this dog and others. Quite literally, Bob Laut saved us from certain failure and returned peace to our home. After some time after the passing of our beloved dog Cooper, my husband and I decided to adopt a new dog. Our dog Max seemed to miss his buddy Cooper tremendously. They spent 11 glorious years together and I really thought it would be good for us to give him a new friend. We went to the shelter and they suggested a male dog who was not thriving in the shelter (not eating etc.). He was a stray but they judged him to be about 8 years old and submissive. We followed the suggestion of the dogs meeting on neutral territory and to give them time to adjust. Max seemed okay with it-but definitely not as thrilled as we had hoped. Our new dog Reilly, on the other hand, seemed to be struggling a bit. We thought he had separation anxiety (howled and scratched the door when we left) and seemed to be afraid of Max (growling at Max every time Max walked by). He then started getting very possessive of everything. All our attention was going to Reilly, at the expensive of Max, and we started contemplating finding Reilly a new owner. At the suggestion of a friend, we called Bob. In just three sessions, Bob changed our lives. He immediately corrected our "assumptions" regarding Reilly's behavior--we were allowing him to take over!!!!! Bob gave us a tremendous base of knowledge and wonderful tips for handling Reilly and his relationship with Max and us. We have used Bob twice now- once five years ago when our first black lab was a puppy and just now since we added another black lab puppy to the pack. I cannot speak more highly of him! When we first called Bob five years ago, we really, really needed help. Our puppy had a dominant temperament and she was almost impossible to control. She was biting, barking, growling at us, jumping on us, and overall making our lives miserable. She went to obedience training and learned her commands, but it didn't stop her bad behavior. She was getting bigger by the minute, and we knew we couldn't have a full sized dog act this way. We called Bob as almost as a last resort before having to give her back to the rescue. We are so glad we did. Immediately upon Bob's arrival, our dog sensed his energy and knew she wasn't going to be in charge anymore. He taught us how take control back over our house. It took a while, but after consistently following Bob's guidance our unruly domineering pup became the an incredibly sweet and well mannered dog. We truly credit Bob and his training (of us) for our ability to keep her. We just called Bob again this week because we adopted another puppy and wanted his guidance on how to introduce her to our older dog. He supervised the introduction of the two dogs, and it went really well. He taught us how to maintain our role as pack leaders over both dogs, and calmed our worries that our older dog would harm the puppy. If you are struggling at all with your dog, please call Bob. Meeting Bob Laut was one of the most amazing things that ever happened in my life! I "happened" to meet Bob while walking my "nutso" dogs. He was working with a neighbor. He approach me and stood in front of my 5 lb. Toy Fox Terrier who had been carrying on, stalking, barking, and being very misbehaved. He stood in front of her and looked at her and then at me and told me she was afraid. He validated an article I read the week before. I asked for his card and contacted him the next day. He came out the following week to work with me and my 2 dogs. I thought the terrier was the alpha dog. Wrong! The Pomeranian was! I would never have guessed that. After working with Bob for about 2 hours, "I" was the "alpha dog" and I gladly claimed that status. He taught us how to behave when the doorbell rings; how to behave when getting treats and meals; and how to put the dogs' leashes on. My dogs are SO different in such a POSITIVE way! "Jaw-dropping" changed behavior doesn't even touch how wonderful things were after only 2 hours. I have continued to work with my girls. They are now so calm, relaxed, and happy. That, in turn, makes me calm, relaxed, and happy! Bob returned for a 1 hour session to review what we had learned and to give some additional tips/hints. Then we went for a walk around the subdivision and taught "us" how to behave on a walk. Of course, I will continue to work with my girls so I stay the "alpha dog." My husband and I have a 10 month old Miniature American Eskimo who is the light of our lives. But a few months ago she started getting really rough when we were playing then into full blown constantly attacking us. I looked online for tips to help solve our problem and nothing was working. It came to the point where we were having to keep her in her playpen to separate us so she wouldn't bite and snap at us. She was downright vicious. My husband and I help shelters throughout the state of Missouri and heard about Bob through the Midwest network of rescue groups. We have watched Bob do amazing things with other dogs in the past - he is a "one-stop shop" and works with dogs of all sizes and a wide variety of issues such as insecurities to aggressive behaviors. He has been instrumental in keeping dogs in their own homes and not being surrendered or rehomed do to issues. He was our one and only choice for a dog trainer!!! We personally have several dogs in our home and it can be a bit wild sometimes. One of ours was a rescue from a severe abuse case and very, very insecure. She barked uncontrollably at anything or anyone new and since they all feed off of each other, the excitement level can be rather high at times. Within minutes of being in our home he had her under control - it was amazing!!! It has been so much more calm and peaceful around here since he came. She has more inner peace and has to be happier! We have an almost 2 year old German Shepard dog, who was a good dog, just had some poor manners that we wanted to work on. We knew that it wasn't the dogs fault for being a dog, it was us, his owners, who needed to learn how to help train him. Some of our dogs manners were barking at anyone he saw, getting extremely excited when someone knocked on the door, and a couple other items. We had tried another trainer, who spent more time criticizing us on where we got our dog from then actually helping us train. When Bob came it was very evident from the first few moments that this would be a beneficial experience. After our dog finally calmed down, Bob went over everything, his ideas on training, what was expected of us, tips, suggestions, etc. We felt very comfortable that we now had the tools to help our dog. Bob then spent a good amount of time showing us what to do and giving us suggestions. We saw improvements almost immediately! One thing that we really liked about Bob was that he wanted to come a week late to see how everything was going and that we were able to call or email him with any questions. We have seem dramatic improvements with our dog and we couldn't be happier. It is a little on the pricier side, but well worth it if you have issues with your dog that you want to take care of. I have an 80 lb pit bull that I rescued 4 years ago. I was informed that "he doesn't like other dogs" when I took him into my home. This was never an issue as he was my only pet, and it was rather easy to keep him away from other animals at the end of the culdesac where we lived. Well, life happened and it became harder when I decided to make a career change. We moved into a home with other dogs and the first few months were great. When I trusted other adults to follow "tydus' rules" there was an incident bc this was new to them. He got ahold of a very tiny dog and killed him. I was told I didn't need to put my dog to sleep, but back into a shelter. Then I was threatened by family with criminal prosecution and was verbally abused and bullied for deciding to keep my dog. I couldn't justify killing my dog for human mistakes. I had failed my dog and I needed to find a solution. I got him on anxiety meds because he was never aggressive, just scared and anxious. Then I found Bob! Ty spent ten days at camp good dog and I could swear he swapped my dog out for another one. I cried when I got the pics and videos of ty just hanging out, being a dog!! I now know how to lead my dog, and we are all much happier. I no longer get scared to take him on walks and although I can't forget the past, I trust my dog and he trusts me :) bob is a true lifesaver!! read more

Bob Laut with K-9 Pack Leader has been a life saver for my family. We have struggled for a few years with a dog we rescued and with Bob's help we are finally able to have a normal household. I used to get attacked by my dog on a fairly regular basis, I have taken him to three other trainers including a licensed therapist who specializes in abused animals with no success. We've trained, medicated, cried and struggled. My vet had no more suggestions and told me our next step was to euthanize because he was a danger. I highly recommend Bob Laut, the results we saw after his training sessions were incredible! We had recently adopted an 80lb Cane Corso Pit mix from a rescue and in the first week he was great and fairly friendly towards everyone that he met. After a week though he became extremely territorial/aggressive towards anyone new he met that came into our house, barking, snapping, lunging, etc. towards them to the point that we had no idea what to do to calm him down. He was always the perfect dog around us and on walks, but flipped a switch when it came to guests coming over. Obviously this situation was untenable so we began looking for a dog trainer that specialized in large, aggressive dogs, as we truly believed our dog was too large and too aggressive for a typical dog trainer to be comfortable working with. Thankfully after a lot of research and recommendations we found Bob and setup an in house session with him. The results were truly incredible, within an hour of working with Bob we were able to let our dog off the leash and he was behaving normally again. After continuing to apply the lessons Bob taught us, we are now able to have guests over with our dog walking around freely. Gus and I would love to give a special thanks to Bob, The K 9 Pack Leader. The suggestions he gave us over the phone before our initial session started the change we needed to see but didn't know how to go about achieving in our pet's behavior. My beautiful German Shepherd, Zoe started to become increasingly aggressive towards strangers and other dogs. Fearful that something bad would happen, I decided to look for professional help. I want to thank Bob, owner of K-9 Pack Leader for his help with our dog!!! I was recently on the receiving end of my seven-year old Aussie's dominant behavior and frankly didn't know who to contact or what to do about it. Bob was very quick to respond to my message and scheduled a home visit the very next day. He was prompt, professional and very direct as to what needed to happen, and he was quick to require that my husband and I read "Embracing the Wild in your Dog", by Bryan Bailey. She would pull on the leash and try to chase cars. She jumped all over our five year old son. We though this was just her puppy phase, and that she would grow out of it.
