I have noticed a few things with this shop. One they have mold on the roof in the back kennel, I noticed this when I got my walkthrough. Two they have spots in the roof with water damage mainly where they keep there smaller dogs. Three some of the staff seems to have no regard for animal safety or cleanliness, I have pick up my dog a few time with them covered in urine. My pet has also left with the same amount of food that I brought in. The building is falling apart it smells like someone smoked in every room I constantly heard them talking bad about customers. It's safe to say I will never bring my dog here ever again and if you plan on doing so please keep everything I have said in your mind read more

K-9 Kwik Klip is AWESOME!! I have never had a kennel/grooming service take such good care of my dog. This is the only service I have ever used where my dog is excited to get out of the truck and get inside. read more

Only gave 2 stars bc they are friendly. But my poor dog's haircut is the worst I've seen. One side of her face is longer than the other. The back or her head looks like a flat top, and her nose was shaved down to the skin... ? Never coming back. I live in NYC and was visiting family and thought I'd bring my dog for an affordable grooming to a place she's familiar with, but I'd rather pay double the price in NYC to not have her look like this ever again. read more

I have been grooming my Maltese/shit-Zue here for years. They nicked her while grooming which happens sometimes. The issue is they didn't tell me. It got infected and cost me $180+ in vet bills. I called and explained to receptionist and ask her to tell Chase. He was not the groomer when she was cut. I didn't get a call back. I will not return here. read more

This was my 2nd time to board my dogs at K-9 Kwik Klip. My dogs LOVED it!! The staff was so attentive, caring, and interacted great with my obnoxious crew. I have dogs ranging in age from 15mos to 10yrs (on medications) and they aren't accustomed to a boarding kennel (they're couch potatoes), but the staff put my mind at ease and when I came to pick my dogs up, they didn't want to leave!! My dogs came home clean and exhausted. I won't hesitate to bring them back for the socialization and interaction. Thank you again K-9 Kwik Klip for taking care of my 'kids'!! read more

This is the worst place to ever consider bringing your little companion! They held my dog ransom. They conducted themselves in a poor manor! They lied to me telling me that my dog was biting everyone, not eating or drinking and yelled obscene gestures after finally getting my pup out the front door and all of them are obviously on drugs. Something is not right with this business. Please if you love your pet DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE. They are only after money and no compassion or love for your pet. My dog is hypoglycemic and was told he was not eating and they would not release to veterinarian. Board at your own risk!!! read more

I might have expectations that are a tad too high, but here it is: I called on a Friday to make an appointment for my dog. I was told to bring her in on a different day "and we ask that you have them here by 10". I was told that drop offs started around 730 am. I got there at about 8. Because I don't know lengths of cuts, I attempted to show pictures of the length I had gotten in the past. The receptionist informed me "the groomers aren't here yet but we'll try to describe it". 9 1/2 HOURS later, she still wasn't ready and no explanation as to the delay or apology.This is EXTREMELY POOR service. This tells me that she was sitting in a kennel all day. I could have brought her in at noon or 2 pm if they weren't going to get to her earlier. When I got my dog, her cut looked OK, but was NOT what I asked for. In my attempt to use local businesses over chains, PetSmart has won this battle. With the same price, equal (if not a higher) quality, and shorter time frame to complete the grooming, PetSmart is a much better option. Might I suggest to K-9 that you schedule for time frames or not schedule so many pets to be groomed in a day and alert customers that it is a first-come-first-serve basis. Also, the groomers might want to arrive when the animals are expected to arrive. Or maybe K-9 should just stick to boarding. This trial of a groomer in Lumberton was, in my eyes, a complete and utter fail. read more

We first took our two boxers here for baths and nail clipping. We were happy with their service and the pricing was fair. Shortly thereafter we took in both dogs for an overnight boarding. Both on the phone and in person I stated we would be by to pick them up the following afternoon around 3 or 4 pm. We dropped them off around 3 pm and went to pick them up the next day at 3:30 pm. Much to our surprise, they charged us for two days of boarding even though our dogs only stayed one night. When asked, we were informed that their policy was to charge for a second night if the animals were not picked up before noon. Neither on the phone, nor in person, were we informed of this. Had we known, we would have moved up our schedule and picked them up before noon. When asked, even their manager refused to admit that they should have advised us of this policy up front. At this point, all their manager had to do is admit that they should have notified us of the pickup time policy in advance and made some kind of offer to set things right. She refused to do so. ... Making this policy even more ignorant, they also do doggy day care. When I asked if they could have just charged for a 4 hour day care (their minimum), their manager said they "can't move dogs from boarding to day care." She wouldn't provide a reason, just that they won't do so. Obviously their reason is so they can charge for a full extra day rather than a few additional hours. ... Although unhappy about this, we decided to give them one more chance. We called the following week to have both boxers boarded on a Saturday. I said we would pick them up before noon on Sunday. Here is where it gets completely ridiculous. They are only open for pickup from 3 pm to 5 pm on Sunday. So 3 pm is the earliest we could pick them up. Yet they still charge for a second day because they can't be picked up before noon. If they were open at noon, I could understand their sticking by their policy, no matter how unfair it may be. But since they don't open for pickup until 3 pm on Sunday, there is no possible way they should feel justified in charging for a second day, as it is their office hours that don't allow a pickup before noon. Greedy, plain and simple. ... This is not how other boarding facilities work. I spoke with three other boarding facilities in the area, and none of them have this policy. Needless to say, we will not be using K9 Kwik Klips in the future. Count me as one extremely dissatisfied ex-customer. ... And my wife sums it up very nicely "they bite." read more
