After the thermostat replacement, the temperature warning light continued intermittently. Oscar suggested the water pump as the next step and made me feel hopeful the issue could be resolved, but communication became inconsistent. I was told the repair could be done the next day, then the next day again, and eventually I stopped receiving responses from both Oscar and the Thumbtack account. I understand some issues can be more complex than expected, but it would have been more professional to clearly communicate if the repair was outside their scope instead of leaving me without updates while the car was still not safe to drive. Transmission shifts better than ever and they quickly diagnosed the brake issue. Replaced parts and kept the car to ensure no further issues were present with the brakes. This car is my pride and joy and Sal took really good care of it. I expected a large repair bill but when it came time to pay their charges were very reasonable considering the amount of work they did.
