Where do I even begin... if you're reading this and considering Justin and haven't booked yet... WHAT ARE YOU DOING???? When planning our wedding, the dance floor was our biggest priority. It had to be LIT. We've been to a few weddings that had duds of a dance floor, which we wanted to avoid at all costs. Initially we had our eyes on another DJ who ended up being unavailable but our planner recommended Justin and immediately on our first call I fell in love with his energy and just knew he would deliver. And did he DELIVER!! He pulled out banger after banger and matched the vibe of the playlist we sent over as a reference... did some incredible mixes people were going crazy about. Not only that, he also played the role of sportscaster for game 5 of the NBA finals as the Knicks won (we are a New York couple... LGK) towards the end of dinner leading into an insanely energized reception. Our wedding night was the best night of our lives and honestly, without Justin, I don't think we could've had the night we did. Every single person who left the wedding kept saying this was the best wedding they've been to, and SO many people reached out to me the next day about how good the DJ was. Just to give a sampling of some of the texts I received across 5 different conversations! Anyway, you're guaranteed an incredible night booking JustIN!!! My only regret is having a curfew or else we would've gone until dawn!

We are so happy we found Justin and DJ Yuka for our wedding in Half Moon Bay! Justin made the process simple, which is very appreciated for a hectic planning process. He was always super responsive and helpful. Justin used this app Vibo to collaborate on the song list, which made it very fun and easy! We also really enjoyed working with our DJ Yuka. We and many of our guests are Chinese/Taiwanese. Also a Taiwanese, DJ Yuka was a great fit. She was able to make all the announcements bilingual and blended world music ranging from Justin Timberlake, to Gangnam Style, to Chinese folk-rock fusion. It was a great way to showcase our heritage as well as being inclusive of all of our guests cultures and tastes.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND PHOTOBOX!…read more Our wedding was this past weekend and we hired Photobox to provide their mirror photobooth services. Corby is awesome! From the start the communication was very easy. If I had any questions he was always willing to answer them. He arrived early in order to set up the photobooth and he let us know once the photobooth was ready to go to take pictures. My guests enjoyed the mirror photobooth and enjoyed the options he provided for props. Again, I highly recommend Photobox for any event you have. Thank you Corby (and Devon) for everything!

He will work with you until you find a design you love for your photo strip. He won't be happy until you're happy and he won't rest until he's sure you're satisfied. In addition to his many props, Corby also has the most variation. You name it, he has it. He also takes care of his props; they are always clean and intact. The best thing about Corby though, is not about his photo booth or props. It's his heart. He has such a good one. Everyone knows how chaotic a wedding is, it passes you by in such a blur. On the night of my wedding, we were so busy talking to guests that we didn't even have time to think about doing the photo booth. Out of nowhere, Corby comes over and pulls my husband and me away and before we knew it we were sitting in the photo booth. Not only did he do this once, but he did this each time I came back from a dress change. Talk about attention to detail. If it wasn't for Corby, we wouldn't even have photo strips from our own wedding. Thank you so much Corby!

A wise Yelper said, "this is for who it is". If you don't want to wait in line to get into a place…read morewith lines, go save your one-star for something truly decrepid and horrible. Yeah. You wait in line. Then you go into one of two rooms and wait in lines, once you determine what line is what the line's purpose. Some people are waiting for pictures, others waiting to take a picture, and some just waiting to figure life out. Just make sure your line goes to the right booth (color vs black and white, 3 vs 4, drippy wet or blurry, etc) I have the worst line anxiety but I did okay. My only stress came from having every "first picture" of the series being us, caught by surprise, wondering if the machine took our money, with our mouths open and eyes closed. A "pose while you tap your credit card" sign would be helpful. Back in my day there was a warning light or a countdown to avoid every first picture looking like Sloth doing a math problem. I guess it could be better climate controlled, more organized, and less crowded, but it's a uniquely kitschy and obviously memorable way to waste $7.50 a pop, with a cool retro souvenir envelope.

While we were in San Francisco, my daughter and I visited Photomatica, which is both a photo booth…read moreexperience and a photo booth museum. We went on a Wednesday afternoon, and it was surprisingly busy. There were quite a few people there, so we had to squeeze around a little bit, but it was still completely worth it. We had already watched a bunch of TikToks and reels about Photomatica before we went, so we had a pretty good idea of what to expect. There are several different vintage photo booths, and they all print photos in different styles--some in color, some black-and-white, some sepia, etc. For us, though, the style of the photos wasn't nearly as important as the background. We really wanted the checkered background! Luckily, that booth was in the second room. If you go in and only look at the booths in the first room, make sure you keep exploring because there are another three or four machines farther back. Each booth costs $7.50, and you get three or four pictures depending on which machine you choose. One VERY important thing to know is that you only get a few seconds between each picture, so have your poses ready! We actually practiced a little before putting our money in because once the countdown starts, you don't have much time to figure out what you're doing. You can pay with Apple Pay, which was super convenient. After taking our pictures, we had to wait for them to print. Since the photos are freshly printed, they recommend using a hair dryer to dry them so you don't accidentally smudge or mess them up. It was honestly part of the fun of the experience! We also decided to make our photos into keychains, which ended up being my favorite part. I bought two so my daughter and I could each have one. You use one photo strip for each keychain, and when you purchase one, you also get to choose a charm. There were only three charm options available when we went, though, and they were already running low on one of them, so don't get your heart set on a specific charm. You sit at a table and cut out your photos so they fit perfectly into the keychain. They also had these little photo sleeves/folders that you could use if you weren't making a keychain. I noticed that the fine print on ours said "San Francisco," so I cut those pieces out and added them to the keychains. They fit perfectly and made them feel like an actual San Francisco souvenir rather than just a photo booth keychain. Another really cool bonus is that when you purchase a keychain, they scan a copy of your photos and email them to you. So you get to take home the physical souvenir AND have a digital copy. My daughter and I both agreed that Photomatica was one of our absolute favorite things we did in San Francisco. It's such a fun step back in time, and there's something really special about getting to experience an old-school photo booth instead of just taking pictures on your phone. Of all the souvenirs I've collected from my travels, this is hands down my favorite. I carry the keychain with me every day, and every time I see it, I get to remember our trip and the fun we had making it together. If you're visiting San Francisco, I highly recommend stopping at Photomatica. It's inexpensive, unique, interactive, and you leave with a souvenir that actually means something. My daughter and I had so much fun, and it's definitely a memory I'll treasure!
