Similar to the other experience posted, he stalled the sellers signatures (almost 48 hours), making excuses and then tried to provide us with an incomplete contract twice. Once under contract, he came back 3 hours before our scheduled inspection of the home and made demands which forced us to back out; come to find out he did it on purpose because he wanted to accept another offer once we were already under contract. While what he did was not illegal, it is highly unethical and bad business all around. Red flags from day one. Save yourself the time and effort and stay away from his listings.

He made an effort to get to know us right from the start. We were looking for a spacious newer or new home, with downtown train access and in a great school system. We looked at around 25 existing homes, lots/tear downs, and under-construction homes. Alan was able to make on-the-spot recommendations and ballpark cost estimates from things like remodeling kitchens to completely new construction, given his own experience in building new homes. Alan was patient, honest, knowledgeable, readily available, approachable, and always on top of things. We never felt pressured about anything. Alan exceeded all of our expectations.

I had already been looking…read moreto ditch my agent at the time, mostly because he was not listening to me and he was pushing us towards a decision that he would make, not necessarily a choice we wanted. (We moved from the city to North Shore-a big decision for us as we've been downtown for over a decade, and still love it). Then we ran into Steph/Beth at another subsequent open house. I'd had enough with my old agent's pushy/slime-y salesmanship and we had built a quick and comfortable rapport with Beth/Steph. The decision was clear, for buying in the North Shore, we would begin a working relationship with Beth/Steph. Over the course of two years, they graciously guided us through searching, knowing the whole time we may not end up pulling the trigger for a long time. That didn't matter to them, they weren't hunting for a deal. They were fighting for our best interests, which I love. Never pushy, always helpful and always patient. In my experience, you don't often see that with realtors. You often get the hard sell, desperation mode style of pitching a deal. That hard sell and aggressive tactics tells me as a customer that they don't really care about the client, they just care about their commission. Stephanie and Beth are the polar opposite and we consider ourselves lucky to have had a few chance run ins that turned into a fruitful working relationship. Win-Win through and through. No matter what end of a real estate transaction you're on, Beth and Stephanie have all my praise and confidence in stewarding a client from start to finish.

A rather large home with lots of stuff to shuffle about, I was completely impressed by Beth's ability to quickly identify the strengths and weaknesses of the home and determine what needed to be accomplished prior to getting it on the market. Completely hands-on with obvious design sense, she gave great direction and even brought in loads of throw pillows and artwork from her own home to see her vision through. Though I haven't worked with Beth personally on the sale or purchase of a home, I would highly recommend her services. She works fast, has the utmost respect for her clients and thorough knowledge for what a buyer would want to see. Beth is willing to go above and beyond to get the job done. And, here's the proof, because she just announced the house went under contract with multiple offers in only seven days!
