In short "If you need care within a few hours and can get there on your own, go here."…read more I'm going to preface this review a few assumptions: If you're in the ER it's probably not a good day for you anyway, most peope don't really *want* to be there, and you're there because you need to be seen sooner than tomorrow morning at a primary care doctor or need more care than a CVS or PriceChopper type Clinic can offer. With that in mind, I'll say I 'enjoyed' my visit to Ellis Emergent Care. I left feeling WAY better than I did when I got there - which is the point, right? The waiting room was calm, quiet, and not crowded. The staff was professional. I won't say 'overly friendly', but it's the ER people!!! They could have been on the tail end of three 12-hour shifts. They were, however, gentle, caring, respectful, and efficient. I was in for extreme dehydration during pregnancy and had to get an IV. The nurses and PA very much seemed to have the attitude of "Lets get you feeling better and get you home." They're obviously busy, but don't seem frantic. The receptionists remembered my name and had all the paperwork ready to go when we went to check out. I feel like all of these reasons in aggragate make it a 5-Star ER. You're not at the spa, but you're also not getting ebola or watching someone die on a stretcher. I'd call that a win. Since it is a smaller facility, they have a limited number of beds/rooms compared to other major hospitals. With that in mind, if there are more than 10 people in the waiting room, it could mean they are filled to capacity. We waited about an hour before I was admitted to a room on a Wednesday afternoon. I felt given the number of people I saw leave and get admitted before me, this was very reasonable. Pro Tip - this facility does NOT accept ambulances, and as a result, the hectic, chaotic atmospher that you experience in other places is noticable absent here. If you need care within a few hours and can get there on your own, go here.

They took our name and my son's blood pressure. We waited 20 minutes more. The P.A. came in and after 10 seconds, said.... We can't help you, go to Albany Medical center. OK this is fine. But then weeks later we received the bill of $1800.00 and that is with insurance folks. $1800.00 to take our blood pressure. YOU ARE OUT OF YOUR MIND... We will not be paying this bill. Riddiculous. If there was a ZERO star, I'd be ranking them that. BTW: Albany medical handled my son faster and the bill with the plastic surgeon work was $1700.00. W.T.H. Ellis

He told ortho NY that he does pain pump installation. He stated, " I will determine that." I then trusted him and endured 17 injections in about two months which landed me in the hospital. After being medically evaluated and admitted into hospital for three days I was then scheduled to see this quack. He was upset because I ended up in the hospital which now today I can say is a FACT. When I came back he stated, "you don't have pain issues or problem." If you reading this ask yourself this: I don't have pain issues but you did 17 injections billing my insurance company then therefore you should be investigated for insurance fraud!!! I was there three times a week four hours each time for two months. Looking back that is absolutely crazy!!! Lastly you have front desk women and another man acting as nurses who aren't registered. Oh and the he told me I don't do pain pumps installation which he lied to my pain doctor from Ortho. This man should be investigated. So in this past year I have been going to Dr. kodsi at total care who is awesome. I am able to walk and have 2.5 months of pain free with his methods of cervical and lumbar Botox Injections to address my dystonia and some additional lidocaine and corotosone injections.

The doctor definitely lacked bed-side manner. He was rude and very condescending. He wouldn't allow me to ask questions and would put his hand in front of my face when I tried to speak. He would get very aggravated and angry on multiple occasions because I wanted to ask him questions or explain to him my symptoms. He would raise his voice at me and belittle me. Even when he was giving me injections, he was very short and frustrated. I have no idea why he was like that. The doctor never explained to me what was going on with me. He seemed like he was in a hurry and didn't want to be there. It made me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. I seriously walked out of there regretting my visit. This visit was a waste of time and a waste of money. I would not recommend this doctor to ANYONE. This doctor had a bad attitude and lacked manners. I am very disappointed and I will never go back there again.

He is caring, takes time with his patients and most importantly, he takes his time with procedures. I moved from New York to Florida 5 years ago and still keep him as my primary Pain Management Doctor. He is worth the 1800 mile trip because he is THAT good. I tried to find a doctor in my area, but it is impossible. No one else will take the time , or effort to listen to you and then try to help you with your problems. I don't want narcotics thrown at me, I want something to help with my pain to help me lead a semi-normal life (in between procedures). I understand that nothing is a fix, but I am a realist and know that these procedures are here to help me live my best life. He has helped me more than he will ever know. Staff come and go in every office, but he is the constant i rely on.

When I arrived for the appointment they told me they where going to put an epidural in my neck. Once I got them straightened out the doctor marked the left side of my back for the procedure. Once I got that straightened out. On January 17th I went to see the same doctor for a set of nerve deadening shots in my lower right back again the doctor came in marked my lower right back , then proceeded to put the nerve deadening agent In my lower LEFT back. I am still in pain I wasted at least three months trying to have something done for the pain I deal with on a daily basis.
