I had actually visited on Good Friday and they were closed. I live in Katy and it was a 30 minute drive. I was upset but kind of my fault because you should always call a new place first before visiting. I pulled up and saw no cars and was surely disappointed. I politely got back in my car and decided I would visit another day. Well the following week I decided to visit because I needed to drop shoes off at the shoe shop. I walked in and felt like I was dreaming. It was such a variety of material it was unreal. I am not a seamstress but I have a creative vein for making a masterpiece. I decided to take my time and walk around and observe, look and allow my creative juices to flow. Then an angel appeared CLAUDIA, she was the sweetest girl ever. She answered all of my questions, offered expertise knowledge and helped me sort through many different options. Of course a creative person never makes choices overnight. So I left the store and told her I would return soon. The following week I returned with more choices and the need to make a final decision. When she seen the masterpiece she was floored. She then proceeded to talk about her mother's 50th birthday. It was funny because I am preparing for my 50th birthday and I was sharing with her that I don't mind sharing information with her as well to make her mother's event a success. What impressed me the most is all of the staff are welcoming to all ages and race along with being bilingual. I am always disgusted when I walk into an establishment and no one speaks ENGLISH which is the first language in HOUSTON. They are all nice and helpful CLAUDIA, stood out to me because she helped me personally. She was absolutely amazing. She gave hands on expertise and was very patient and kind. It was my first time in the store and she made me feel welcome. Her energy and poise were unmatched. I am looking forward to shopping at this establishment again.

I asked to use the restroom and was refused, despite being a paying customer. The staff showed no understanding or willingness to help, which made the experience feel unwelcoming and disrespectful. I understand that stores may have policies, but customers should be treated with basic courtesy--especially when making a reasonable request. Because of this experience, I will think twice before shopping here again.

I've purchased custom curtains before for 3-4x the price, and the exact same quality. Actually, I would say these are better. Ming and his team packaged the curtains for us in pristine condition, not one wrinkle. We didn't hang them up for several hours, and the packaging kept them crisp. They've got a repeat customer in me for sure!

When I arrived, I was grateful to see reserved parking spaces right in front. I was not eager to tackle Rice Village parking, so this convenience was a benefit for me. Upon walking in, I asked where I could find some potentially matching fabric and the salesgirl was so helpful! She pointed me in the right direction. Since I was looking for white fabric, she recommended I take the fabric outside in the sun to make sure it matches (can't trust white with the florescent lights!). That greatly helped, as the first fabric I thought would work ended up not matching at all once I took it in the sun. After a few tries, I found a fabric that was perfect! If in need of fabric, I definitely recommend coming to Universal Fabric Center. Lots of options to choose from and great service!

She gave me a 46 and it was kind of big. Then, she started to bringing smaller sizes. I finally found 44 being the best fit. Then, I asked for dark red or maroon color. Ah, perfect. I just needed to reduce my middle-aged men's belly to get the right look. I was pretty happy with my purchase. She was quick to find me what I wanted. I hope to bring my coworkers here to shop. Oh, it's located on the second floor near Biryani Factory side of hallway after escalators. Plenty of parking in the garage. Storefront is not quite visible from the street. I purchased a pillow-making workshop for my adult daughter and me, expecting an enjoyable afternoon together and, hopefully, a couple of nice pillows to take home. Instead, neither of us enjoyed the experience, and we left without usable pillows. From early in the workshop, I found Brea, the owner and instructor, to be impatient and unnecessarily harsh. At first, I tried to brush it off as simply a somewhat "spicy" teaching style. But the atmosphere became increasingly tense and uncomfortable. When my daughter became so upset that she hurried to the bathroom in tears, I could no longer overlook what was happening and told her that we were leaving. Rather than trying to understand or de-escalate the situation, Brea became confrontational with me in front of the class. She responded with sarcasm and mockery and challenged my concerns publicly. I was especially disappointed by what felt like an unwillingness to acknowledge mistakes or take any responsibility for how the interaction had unfolded. People take creative workshops to learn, but also to enjoy themselves. Mistakes and questions should be expected, particularly when people are learning a skill. We did not expect perfection or special treatment--just patience, basic kindness, and respectful instruction. Sadly, that was not our experience. What was intended to be a fun mother-daughter outing ended with my daughter in tears and both of us leaving early. I would not return or recommend this workshop based on our experience.

I truly can't put into words how grateful I am for Ramesh Bhai at Sari Sapne! We have been…read morecustomers of his for decades, but he still continues to amaze me with his ability to design outfits that match my vision perfectly. Recently we ordered multiple outfits for my son's wedding, including the bridal lehenga, groom's sherwani, and outfits for my daughter's family including both grandchildren. We described what we wanted for each outfit and Ramesh Bhai's designs surpassed our vision for EVERY single piece! We couldn't decide which outfit we liked the best because we truly loved each one equally! The bridal lahenga was gorgeous. What amazed me further was how stunning the groom's sherwani was! It was unique, modern, and masculine. Everyone raved about how cute and unique my granddaughter's cape lahenga was, and my grandson's sherwani made him look like a prince! Ramesh Bhai also did a superb job designing our son-in-law's groom sherwani 10 years ago. My son-in-law requested a unique sword design for his wedding outfit and Ramesh Bhai (and his staff) custom designed a stunning cover for the sword. His staff even stayed after store hours working on it and it ended up being one of the focal points of their wedding! We are so honored that Ramesh Bhai played such an integral role in both my son's and daughter's weddings. All the outfits for both weddings are a testament of Ramesh Bhai's unique talent!!!
