FANTASTIC time with Just One Hibachi! We hosted 52 people with 22 of them children, and they provided 2 chefs that were absolutely spectacular. The kids were spellbound by the fire show and even the pickiest eaters loved it! The party was for my 8 year old daughter and they not only cooked, but did balloon twisting for the kids and gave her a light up crown with additional sparkler candles, then ended the evening cutting the cake with a samurai sword. The adults had a great time too and several guests asked for their information so that they could host something similar. Very interactive and also delicious! We did the steak/ shrimp/ chicken option and it was definitely worth having the variety. read more

Ok where to begin? , I guess we will start with the good part. 1. It' was easy to book.2. Showed up early 3. Seemed very friendly. Now let's get to what we got ( and yes there are some out of their control issues ) During service the ( friendly) part kind of disappeared, yes he was fighting wind but what do you expect when you show up with a Lowe's purchased blackstone ? He kept losing the flame to which I find odd since I have the same black stone I cook on in the same back yard . We help facilitate moving his set up and putting up an ez up asking with a grill cover to help block the wind. We understood that it was not ideal conditions , however his frustrations seemed to take over. Food quality was good ( the steak was prime and cooked well, rice was done to restaurant quaility, chicken was under cooked by about 4 minutes ( but understanding wind issues ) we looked past that. Now here comes the fun part .. the total paid .. and what comes after .. edited There was some misunderstanding about the total gratuity that thought should have been paid out. After posting my initial review of this small business owner ( they ) had reached out directly and apologized what had occurred and that is highly appreciated. We understand running a small business is not easy and we survive and thrive off our customers reviews.Everyone has an off day and I do not suppose this is a normal occurrence. The handling of the situation post service was exceptional read more

These guys came out to Torrance for my brother in law's birthday. Chef Allen was super nice and had plenty of tricks up his sleeve to keep everyone engaged and entertained. The food was really good and flavorful, and I regret not trying the bang bang sauce. Most items were plenty delicious without the sauce. We had salad with ginger dressing (tasted fresh like he made them in batches), fried rice (really good and garlicky), veggies (came sauced and also v good). I had the NY strip and scallops. Both were cooked and seasoned well. Steak was not too saucy so you can enjoy as is or dip it in sauce. I usually find hibachi to be a little on the bland side, so I was very pleasantly surprised with all the flavor in this food. They offer pretty competitive pricing and will get the party started, even on a Sunday afternoon. Book them! read more

I hired Just One Hibachi for my husbands 40th birthday last night and they were fantastic! One thing that really stood out was Chef Allen's communication prior to the event. He is quite responsive and professional, explaining cost breakdowns etc. At the time of the event, they were on time and so entertaining. The food was VERYYYYY delicious! I'd even go to say everything was more flavorful than Benihana. I would def recommend this catering company and look forward to booking with them again in the future. read more

Our best man Evan booked Just One Hibachi for our joint bachelor and bachelorette party of 14 and it was such a hit! Chef Allen and sous chef Crystal were absolutely amazing. They were full of energy, super lively, and had us laughing the entire night. Their vibe totally set the tone for the party! The food? DELICIOUS. Everything was seasoned to perfection, and the shrimp was the clear standout - so juicy and flavorful that we're still talking about it. From the entertaining cooking show to the unforgettable taste, it was an experience we'll always remember. We would 1000% hire them again for another event, and I'm already recommending them to everyone I know. If you're looking for something fun, delicious, and interactive for your party, this is it. read more

Allen showed up promptly and set up very efficiently. He was super easy to work with and needed almost no help other than showing him where we were asking him to put his hibachi. Really, it took all the work and worry out of hosting our guests. The food was excellent. He began with fried rice; he then made wonderful vegetables (folks who did not wolf down their fried rice for able to have the following courses with their fried rice); then steak ((fantastic!); and then great shrimp (an extremely generous helping for each person). Allen is also an excellent host. He hit the perfect balance of being engaging and entertaining, but also leaving us room for our own conversation. He had a fun little Magic tricks between courses, as well, that we all loved. Our only possible suggestion is that he have a non-alcoholic alternative available (or just let people easily take a pass) for the group participation because some people do not drink (religious reasons/medical/in recovery). We will definitely bring Allen back again soon! We cannot recommend this experience enough. read more

Best mobile hibachi ever! The flavor is so rich and authentic. The chef has a presentation that is hard to beat. You won't be able to find this kind of service anywhere else. Catered to everyone's preferences and was well prepared. No electricity needed. Will definitely need to book him again. Best, best, best! read more
