I'm pretty bummed because I truly like one of the professionals Hellen in this place. She's great at doing nails and hilarious, however when I went in yesterday I actually got the owner of the place. I'm getting married on Friday and she was fully aware. I left with my toes a mess, and this morning woke up with an infection in my toe (shown in the picture) from her ripping out my ingrown toe nail. thank god I didn't get my manicure here cause who knows what that would have looked like. Blows my mind that the owner of this business did this and was fully aware this pedicure was for my wedding. I do not suggest coming here unless you ask for Hellen. read more

Worst nail experience ever, short of getting a fungus...oh too early to tell yet. Dirty, rude, argumentative. They use power towels to grind of gel coat rather than nail wraps to save money and time. The male salon manager was rude, and insisted on talking to me the whole time. Telling me what was wrong with America. We nearly stopped , due to me walking out. Rude and dirty. The place is falling apart. Look, this is a secondary issue for me. You do a good job, you don't rake me over the coals, I don't care so much if you neglect the upkeep of your store. Went there about 6 weeks ago and paid $40 for a gel pedicure. Nice job, friendly worker. Today I go in and the rude ass front desk guy says he's busy and to come back. So I ask when or if he's gonna write down my name etc. He says, "come back at 3". I go back at 2:50 and he says...."oh, we still are really really busy" and doesn't follow it up with anything more. He's just looking at me. So I'm like, "are you saying you can't accommodate me?" And he's like, "no". So I'm like "why did you tell me to come back in an hour? Why did you waste my time?" Literally the worst nail salon I've ever been to. I was in the area and decided to check them out for a gel pedicure so I called and made an appointment and the owner (Bob) told me to come anytime and it would be $20. An hour later when I reached, they sat me in the pedicure chairs and filled it with water and as I'm rolling my pants up and putting my feet in the water, the lady told me to get up because her other client is here. I was a bit annoyed that they asked me to get up for someone else but I moved and just stood there for 5 minutes until they told me to sit in another seat. After they washed my feet, she told me to come to the manicure seats because that's where they put the polish on after the pedicure. I had never heard of this before and I was really confused and was more annoyed because I had to walk barefoot with wet feet across the salon to the other chairs. I asked for French and she literally did the worst possible job on them. I decided to let it go and just go to another place next week since me they did such a bad job but as I was about to pay, the owner told me it's actually $40 because I got gel. $20 more for gel??? I went into Just Nails to see if someone could fix one of my nails, which got chipped after 1 day. I walked in and asked politely, and the man behind the front desk screamed "no!" and "get out!" so loudly that I thought he was joking at first. I inquired again and soon realized he was not joking at all, he's just an awful human being. Walked out and cried, I was so shocked that someone had spoken to me that way. Probably the absolute worst manicure/pedicure I have ever received. I went in with my mom, we sat in the pedi chairs for about 20 minutes before my water was started. JUST MY water. She ended up sitting in her chair for about another 20 minutes (not sure, by that time my water had gotten cold and my feet were water-logged). The woman who did my pedicure seemed like she was on crack or some kind of stimulant, because she rushed through and quite frankly did the worst and most messy polish job I've ever had. She barely massaged my feet (which, in my opinion, is the best part of a pedicure) and the polish was so messy. It looked like a child did it--but at that point, I just wanted to go, so I didn't say anything. The woman who did my mom's pedicure was so rough, my mom had to ask her twice to be more gentle. When I got my manicure, my lady filed ALL of my natural nails off. There is no growth left. She had soaked my hands for so long and without asking whether or not I wanted them trimmed, she just took the file to it and poof! They were gone. Thanks...It's not like I was growing them out or anything. I will never come here again and advise you to run. The prices are cheap, but now I know why. I wish I had the "cajones" to refuse to pay for the service, but I don't like starting a scene. Go somewhere else. I literally have not had a worse experience at any nail salon until I walked into this one. The staff is very rude. Greeted me with a "what do you need" and then said "sit over there" (mind you I was the only customer in there at that time). I ask for a gel color over my acrylic and apparently the color was old so it was leaving terrible cracks in the nails, like as if it was dry (and no it wasn't the crackle gel colors.. I've had those).. so I proceeded to tell Helen, the manicurist that I did not like the color and she looked at me and said "you messed it up yourself" (how can you mess up gel manicures?) .. so I asked her to take it off since I didn't like it and the manager (the guy) said "you did it yourself, there is nothing wrong with the color".. whatever, at this point I was super disappointed they would even treat someone like that.. I ask for a change of color and by the time she was done it looked A LOT better... so I told her "see? This is what I'm talking about. This polish must be newer because it didn't leave the same cracked and dry surface the other one had. She proceeds to roll her eyes at me and then walk away. I go to pay and the manager yanks my card out of my hand... needless to say, no I did not leave a tip. Never going back. read more

Let me start by saying that this is my first Yelp review. Normally, if I don't like a service, I just say "whatever" and I don't return to that business. However, my service today, I can't let go. I can't speak for everyone that works here, but the woman @ station 4 that did my manicure was HORRIBLE! This was the sloppiest paint job I've experienced in my life. My nails look as if I asked a 10 yr old to paint them. She had to "cleanup" the excess paint three times (after I insisted) and my nails still looked terrible. I will NEVER come back, nor recommend this place to anyone! I gave it 1 star because I had no other choice. The man that works there was rude also. I decided to try a salon other than the one I normally go to to see if I could save a few bucks. Big mistake! I went in for a gel manicure and a pedicure and was immediately concerned with the cleanliness of the establishment. I was told that I would have to wait a little while, which didn't surprise me as they appeared massively understaffed for the middle of the day on the weekend. I can see how it gets terrible reviews. However, I feel that I should mention positive things, just to be fair. I have been going there for only three years. I only get pedicure, so my dealing with the male manager at the front is very minimum. I can see how he could be rude and unpleasant. Once you get past that, realize that that's the way he is - and you don't actually need to converse with him, it doesn't bother you anymore. The lady employees are all very nice. They may not look professional (i.e. clean cut, wearing robes, etc.) - in fact, they look like they were just rounded up from the street, but they really know what they are doing. Some are chattier than the others, but all are friendly. The times that I was there, it was always crowded. I think their prices are pretty good. You may not get "salon" or fancy services, but if your goal is to get your nails done nicely, you can count on it! No frills. I have been to other places. It only made me appreciate what a nice job they do here. I used to get Helen for my pedicure. Just 2 weeks ago I got Helen's sister Chi, who was new to the establishment. I got the BEST French pedicure that I've ever had. Again, try to ignore the male manager. He could be a pain in the butt. Don't try to make appointments - it's useless at times. Go as a "walk-in". You may have to wait a bit, but save you the frustration of dealing with him. read more

Well I now understand why this salon has only a two-star rating because I tried to call and make an appointment. The owner, who answered is extremely rude and was very nasty. I introduced myself and explained that my former manicurist moved out of the area and I was looking for a new nail salon. My friend had recommended them. I then asked whether he would allow me to bring my own supplies as I use Dazzle Dry which is vegan and chemical free. His reply was, "No! I don't want it." I then asked if he wouldn't maybe just look at the products as they are similar to what they use -- nail prep, base coat, polish and top coat, offering that other Vietnamese salons I've gone to have been willing to use it on me -- and he screamed back at me "No, don't want it!!" It's his prerogative to decline to use special products, but wasn't expecting him to be so nasty to a potential new customer. read more

The Asian women who work at this salon are highly unprofessional. I was in pain during my nail service and requested the person to be gentle. In response, the woman started talking back in forth with her co-worker in their own language (making it obvious with their body language it was about me). Furthermore, they were making highly inappropriate and sexual remarks in English, making me feel very uncomfortable. The management team needs to make sure the staff display courtesy and treat customers with respect & dignity, especially when most of their clients are English speaking. Frankly, this place deserves 0/5 stars. If you don't care about customer service, then this is the place to go, otherwise, please go to another nail salon! read more

Horribly rude service. They have a sign on the door that says "Walk-ins Welcome" that is incredibly deceiving. When I went in to ask for a manicure, I was rudely greeted by a man at the front desk who said, "No, we're busy" in a dismissive way. He didn't even offer to schedule an appointment. I went back a second time because they were accommodating and the first manicure was quick and looked great with the man in the front. The second time, I had a pedicure. The woman was nice, but really, a very sloppy job. While and had gel tips applied. The man in the front didn't listen to me as per the shape I preferred. He was rude and kept cutting me off. Normally I never say anything during ant beauty service no matter how bad.... but I wanted a mani/pedi for my engagement pictures the next day. I just moved and have never been to this salon before but I did not like anything about it. The pedicure tub was dirty and she "cleaned" it after I pointed out the last customer's grime was in it. I also need to request that she wear a new pair of gloves. Imagine going to the hospital and your nurse rewearing their gloves.... why is the standard different after the nail tech is handling someone's feet?? She got paint all over the skin on my toes. Then when it came time for my finger nails they were all being filed on a slant. I ended up using the nail file and fixing them myself. Then there were lumps and chunks in the gel so I asked if she could get it out before it cured.... she picked my stuff up and moved me to another tech. He kept yelling at me to keep my nails under the light so I couldn't look at his work. A bristle off the brush was in the gel so again I wanted to pick it out before it hardened in my pale pink polish. I chose a set where there is a regular polish and a matching gel.... wrong the pinks are different and actually clash. Sucks when you pay $50 for a service and it's terrible start to finish. Ok, so I read the other reviews and see where people are coming from BUT... there are some really good people working at this place if you give them a chance. The yelling that sometimes goes on is just how two of the people talk to each other there (they are married and work together but just talk slightly louder than people are used to). If you want a good gel manicure, go to Kathy. She's great, takes her time to really clean up your nails, getting your cuticles and all (and she's sweet once you go to her more than once and get to know her personality). Make an appointment tho because she's VERY busy and in high demand at this place! Helen is there for your comic relief with her off color comments but she's funny and never rude. I've never had her do my nails tho since I always go to Kathy so I can't comment on that. When Kathy is unavailable, I go to Chi Chi (that may not be her real name but they will know who you are talking about - she's Helen's sister). She's great too, very sweet and kind of quiet, really takes her time to give you a nice mani/pedi while you sit back and relax. She doesn't do gel tho so if you are looking for gel, go to Kathy. If she's not available, make an appointment and come back. Trust me. read more

If I can leave zero stars. Omg. Don't know why I give the owner a chance like 3 times he has disgusted me with his attitude and general unappreciative business. I walk in yesterday (mind you after staying away for 2 1/2 years) say hello politely, ask if I can have airbrush on my natural nails, stares at me says "I no do airbrush. ..." So I say well so you have airbrush? He says yeah but I no do airbrush like this," barely even making eye contact with me. And then SILENCE!!! Just going back to manicuring his guests nails like I wasn't there. So ...I walked out . I pay set money offer, you do business, right? Ok...I walked out on him like 3 years ago because he let me sit in acetone (nails take off) for over 45 minutes to the point where I was in pain and I unbelievably watched him take 2 additional "reservation" guests ahead of me without sending another staff member to help me or acknowledge me. I angrily asked how much after getting out of my chair to walk out and threw the ten bucks down. You can also tell through the Vietnamese chatter that they are talking sht. One woman clearly didn't believe I left her enough tip-- I could tell that much. And the politics.. The male owner will talk your ear off regardless if you are interested or not about the flaws in our political system, president, and culture..so be prepared.
