Like the deodorant, toilet paper, lotion, body wash, vitamins, trash bags, dish liquid, tide, utensils, items for the kitchen and so forth, very affordable. Just Bargain store is ok. It does have some awesome sales but you definitely need to look at the expiration date as they hell a lot of expired things. Also I personally wouldn't buy anything frozen or in the refrigerated area. As I bought two heavy whipping creams both had good dates but both were spoiled I only paid a 1.50 for each so it wasn't worth going back but definitely made me say no to anything in their refrigerated area. I have been a loyal customer for several years, starting when they were still located in Colton. The employees know me and say hi everytime I am in the store. There was never an issue using the bathroom until recently when I was told " it was out of order " and the employees were still using it. A few times, some of the other employees would open the door for me to use the bathroom. Today I asked the cashier who gave me an attitude saying it was not allowed, that by law they don't have to let anyone use the bathroom. I am 79 years old and when I need to go, I need to go. This new location is further than the last, but since I enjoy shopping there I make the longer trip. I will be making a call to code enforcement to hopefully take are of this matter. I urge anyone else dealing with the same, to call and make a complaint. read more

If you take time to search through their inventory you will find pretty cool finds. We spent 55 minutes here and I felt like Indiana Jones questing for lost treasures! Three stars for the cheap prices of the non food items. I'm a firm believer of these stores for people on low income or have not much to survive, especially these days & it just keeps getting better (sarcastic remark as in it's getting better at getting worse). But am very disappointed at the quality, especially seeing the photos of poor or failing grades from the health department. I've seen stores, including the 99c Only store who on occasion have items a little after expiration date. And I've seen items just like the 99c Only that had maggots or gnats/insects in them such as the spices or dried snacks. Yes very GROSS!!! Other issue was that the AC is horrendous! Only portion of store cooled off was a very small section in front where the rugs were. Temperatures are in triple digits and your still better off being outside than in this store. TERRIBLE! I did however enjoy the cheesy 80s music playing. This store could be much better than what it is. The store owners need to get with it and do their customers justice by bringing items that are up to standards and food safety. I hope the mothers buying baby food/dry formula mixes or any food for their families use caution and stay clear of buying any of it. I used to love this place, and I would always get my make up and other beauty products there for super cheap, I was saddened to see that I drove by yesterday and it was closed down for good, I called their sister location, which is in Rancho Cucamonga, and the cashier girl said that the owners from there and the Colton one are brothers, and that she heard they were going to open another location somewhere else, but she has no idea where and neither of the brothers were there working when I called to give any answers. I've been going to JB's since they were in Grand Terrace where the Dollar Store is now. Rarely have I purchased anything that is bad. Expiration dates are much different than best by dates folks. Pay attention to expiration dates, best by dates, not so much. I avoid grains, cereals, beans, and pasta due to possibility of bugs. Did buy one of those products that gave my pantry an infestation of tiny moths for a while. Costco, Target, Old Navy clothing at real bargain prices. My husband and I visit Just Bargain every few weeks when we pass through the area. It is critical to know what foods are usually good past the required printed expiration date. We buy French cheeses (MUST know what over-ripe goat or cow cheese looks and feels like). Last year we bought a cart full of organic and Macrobiotic products in glass that retail for almost $1000 for $168. Sometimes we find almost nothing. I avoid cereal, flour and most baked goods because of the possibility of bugs. I've bought large sacks of organic beans and whole grains for my chickens for dimes on the dollar. Ok so let me start off with the following 1- the store is not ADA compliant , there are pallets everywhere and no one with a wheel chair will fit through the store . 2- the food is expired but that is not against the law or anything like that but when there produce is full of flys and molded that is a problem. I had bought some vitamins here at .99 so I went back to get the exact same kind and they changed the price to 1.99! Lots of old expired food . How do they even get away with selling food from early 2022?

Wow! Is it legal to sell expired meats from six months ago!? Rarely am I at a loss for words; but this takes the cake! There is absolutely nothing edible here worth buying AT ALL. I've seen snacks from my childhood with black mold on them for sale on the shelves. If you are really down and out you can go to the Dollar Stores; no reason to be abused by this establishment. Unethical. That being said ; the rest of the products from light bulbs to toiletries to even appliances - you simply cannot touch those prices anywhere else. This place is HUGE; accepts cash & debit; and open late. So I am being generous giving this place higher credit than it deserves; because it serves the community well in some areas. So, I occasionally find some great deals. Especially on non food items (I don't buy food except for non expired candy for my work candy jar). What I'm furious about is there is nothing consistent when it comes to price! They just come up whatever price at the time unless there is a tag. Case in point I bought some items in the morning and was told 2 for $1. Came back in the afternoon on the same day to buy more and was told by another " joyful" cashier that I was given the wrong price and that the item was $1 each. There are a lot of good deals to be found here. I liked the wide variety of items. It's fun to go back every once in a while and see what they have as the items change. I work in food manufacturing and am an expert in food safety. Years ago my industry created best by labeling so stupid consumers would throw away good products and buy more. Worked like magic. There is a big difference in best by and expires dates. The stuff here is discounted and a sometimes past the best by. It's still good. The best deal I got here was on very expensive imported aged cheeses past the best by date. I took all of them and aged them more to develop the quality even more. This place is trash. The only good thing I found was 80% alcohol that was priced at $1.49. The sell a lot of food here but I would check the expiration dates. Most of the food here is expired or about to expire. I came here because someone on Tik Tok recommended but it was a waste of time. Also the older lady at the register was extremely rude when I asked her why she overcharged me on certain items. Let me not get started on the restrooms there was feces all over the floor and one of the restrooms had no door. Ok, this store was strange and had some weird stuff. It felt like I was in a store from my childhood and maybe in a foreign country, not sure how to explain that, maybe the lighting or the layout kind of took me back. I was happy at first, feeling like I had found a really unusual treasure of a weird store. There were odd things here for sure and tacky stuff but nothing that really caught my eye even as something cheesy or kitschy. Still, I was ok with it. I liked the tablecloth plastic by the foot and the large amount of pet things. But then I got to the food. I wish I could go lower than 1 star. I noticed expired baby food and many other items well past the sell by and best by dates. I saw a box of crackers from more than 1 year past the best by date! That was not great but at least they are dry and no one would get sick from it. Then I found expired baby food. Then I found mystery cans with no labels. Then I found expired refrigerated products such as dairy and meat. Then I found bugs in the cereal area. I saw the health inspection reports online and it's really sad that the store constantly gets told each report to correct things they are out of compliance with, each time there is no change and they get told to fix it the next time a year later. Things like there were bugs in the food on the shelves, the store had rats, there is no adequate cleaning of the employee restrooms, no hot water or clean paper towels for employees to wash their hands, the stockroom is dirty or has vermin. In one report they were given out of compliance for packaging their own peanuts in the (vermin infested remember) stockroom in the back without a 3 part sink which is what is used to sanitize all the stuff that touches food. Yuck. Add people packaging those peanuts on non-sanitized equipment to the roaches & rodents found in the warehouse plus the lack of hand washing hot water and paper towels and dirty employee restroom noted in EVERY SINGLE inspection and you have some really risky Russian Roulette peanuts!!! The inspector noted that the temperature gauges were missing from the coolers and the temperature was incorrect. Yum. Grossest of all (to me) the attitude demonstrated by the management/owner who gets these reports and does not change his/her procedures. You would think if you get told by the county 10 times to stop selling unsafe food, unsafely dented, or unlabeled cans, you'd get the message. Nope. Somebody is making the decision to not give a sh!t about selling expired baby food and the like. That's really disgusting business practice. Who does that? read more

I have shopped here for over 20 years beginning when they were located in the old Stater Bros. Shopping center in Grand Terrace. I have happily supported their business and have enjoyed digging through the merchandise for great finds. I've written an article for a local newspaper about them, interviewing the original owner and singing his praises, God rest his soul. It is with so much disappointment that on Christmas Eve, before closing time, I had the scariest and most degrading experience there from their "security guard" Eddie that I think I've ever experienced in my entire life. AND I'M OLD! There was a rug there that I wanted to grab for a Christmas gift, and I knew exactly where it was located, and I had called ahead to confirm their closing time, which was at 9 pm. I was hung-up on the first time, and I called back and heard this guy in the background telling the female cashier with whom I was speaking to tell me they're closed! This was at 8:45pm, as I was about to pull into their parking lot. I questioned her, and the guy get's on the phone with me, and tells me rudely that they close their cash registers at 9! I said great! I'll be in and out of there before 9PM, and he responds, NO, we're closed and gave the phone back to the cashier and I told her that I was parking and about to walk in. Apparently she told him and I was met at the door by Eddie who started yelling at me telling me that they have families to go home to too, and that I shouldn't be keeping them from their families! Meanwhile, It's 8:50pm and I'm walking quickly to the rug to get out of there, and he's yelling, OH MY GOD, SHE'S GETTING a RUG! Mind you, in the rug section, the sign says, "please ask for assistance as we care about the safety of our customers." Well, THAT'S A JOKE LOL. He yells at my back and says, "I'M NOT HELPING YOU, YOU CAN GET IT YOURSELF!" He was making dereogatory remarks at me while I power-lifted the carpet roll myself and took it to the register where there was NO line. The manager Kennedy comes to the register to check me out, (it's now 8:55pm) and Eddie is at the end of the register yelling at me like he wants to fight me! Like he's THAT infuriated that I as a customer actually was getting what I came to get, and that Kennedy was actually ringing me up! He was so insulting, and the only interjection that Kennedy had to Eddie was, "Let me handle this, ok?" To which Eddie ignored him and kept provoking me, and I finally put my hand up and pointed at him and said, "Stop talking to me!" And that got him even MORE heated. At that point I was shaking with fear that this guy was going to jump me as I walked past him on my way out! I was out of the door at 8:57pm, and had to walk in between 2 guys who were lying on the ground just outside the exit doors with Eddie yelling more insults at me. I am born and raised in San Bernardino and Colton, and sketchy people don't scare me, but when they are working inside of a store dealing with customers, ESPECIALLY if they are suppose to be "security guards" and their behavior is volatile and aggressive towards customers AND that that behavior is allowed by management, I would steer very clear of that place. I am so sad that I had that awful and scary experience at one of my most favorite places to shop, and that it makes me feel like never going back there again.
