For a hole in the wall, this place is great. They do have a limited menu. We ordered the Philly cheesecake and chicken tenders. They both came with fries. They also had hotdogs and a few other items. Our food tasted amazing The restaurant has very limited seating, 4 bars stools inside and 2-3 tables outside. We sat at the bar stools inside and it was nice to take a break and watch the city hustle through the windows. If there was AC, we didn't feel much of it, but it was still cooler than eating outside. I was handling some business at the State Bar of Georgia which is right across the street and I decided to try this place out. I have seen this place for at least a decade. Nothing says Atlanta food like Just Around the Corner.... This place is literally just around the corner from all things Atlanta - Centennial Olympic Park, Mercedes Benz Stadium/State Farm Arena, CNN Center, College Football Hall of Fame, and Downtown Atlanta.  Place is perfect for those Atlanta tourist and equally perfect for residents. As soon as I walked in I was disgusted. Against my better judgment I decided to try it out due to the 4 Star yelp rating. I ordered a chili cheese dog with a sprite. I watched them make my hot dog then handle the toppings without gloves. I'm still hoping for the best hotdog of my life due to the other good yelp reviews. Ehhhhhh... I really wanted to like this place, especially after so many glowing Yelp reviews. I've always wondered how the food was at this restaurant from passing by it for hundreds of years. Today, I decided to bypass the other options in the area and finally check it out. It has that grimey, "food spot" look that normally yields delicious food so my expectations were heightened. Initially, I was going to order the gyro but another review turned me off so I opted for the bacon cheddar burger instead. I was surprised to learn that a side is no longer included in the price and is charged a la carte... no biggie but my meal was now not quite as cheap as I was expecting it to be. Lol All of the ingredients were fresh, including the beef patty. The man who took my order was nice and handled everything on the grill while another cook prepared my food to be served. The second cook was also very friendly and even caught the fact that the first cook failed to put the cheddar on my bacon cheddar burger. The taste of the food is where things got fuzzy. It wasn't a bad burger but it also wasn't great. I don't know if it was the patty or the sauce but something had a weird, slightly sour taste that started to make my tummy hurt halfway through the burger. The fries looked promising but ultimately were forgettable. For the price I ended up paying, I'd probably come out going elsewhere for slightly better quality. read more

Came out of the World of Coke around 1:30 PM with a hungry family of 4. Did a quick search online and this place had pretty good reviews and it was close, so we made the short walk. This is not a "sit down" restaurant, but we were politely greeted by the 2 gentleman working there and it was clear they wanted us to enjoy our meal. When asked what was good, they claimed to have the best burger in ATL, so 3 of us had burgers and fries and my daughter had wings. The meal was indeed delicious! The burgers are seasoned well. The only thing I would say is maybe ask them to put their spicy mayo on the side as it had some kick! We sat at a table under an awning just outside and the weather was nice. Time to update my review of this wonderful gem. Came here today and also last Friday for my going away lunch. I believe I've eaten here more than anybody, at least a good 300+ times. Here's the rundown: No free parking for this place but a parking deck is attached to it. If you're eating here, it's either bc you work "just around the corner", you're attending an event close by or you're a tourist. It's not exactly a destination spot (unless you're me) but it's one you don't want to miss if you love burgers and are downtown. It's located on the corner of Marietta and spring street, and very convenient to CNN center, ga aquarium, Philips arena, world of coke, congress center and world of coke. They are largely sponsored by coke, and have outdoor seating under an awning. There are around 3 tables outside and only ledge seating inside. I'd guess about 12 stools total. It's not for large group seating, and id suggest ordering ahead. There is always a nice breeze on this corner. By all means, this place is very divey but it grows on you. I've accepted their credit card machine being down so many times, bc they always treat me well and go by the honor system with me when I don't have cash. In fact, in all my years going here, the service has always been stellar. The owners are nice, even though I can't make out all his English at times. They don't have a bathroom, and it is very tight inside. Why you should come here, besides the service? Their burger is amazing, the special sauce they put on it is amazing. Every time I've ordered the classic burger, it has ALWAYS tasted the same which is ... You guessed it .... AMAZING! Folks, that's a span of 8 yrs getting the same burger. Think about that and times when you order the same dish from a place and it doesn't taste as good as the last. This place always satisfies. Their burger rivals any place that says they serve the best, and it's all bc of their fresh ingredients and special sauce. I'd also recommend the chikiyaki and big bird. The French fries can be hit or miss, depending on if they season them (yum) or not as much. Sure, they probably fry them in the same batch of oil as the fish so you might, on certain days, taste that. Overall, it's a complete downtown Atlanta experience.
