Unfortunately it wasn't. He said the weed killer he used is guaranteed to work and all his work is guaranteed. He didn't even clean the weed or removed it. He just left it there and came back in 2 weeks, when its time to do the lawn. We decided that we felt like he cheated us with taking our money. So we decided to cancel it with him. He tried to tell us that we had a contract with him cutting the lawn biweekly but we never did. He said he was going to check and call back, but he never did. Don't hire him.

I had been hounding my landlord for years to clean up the property, thinking it was affecting mine and my neighbors business. I took a look at my lease, and found out that all landscaping is MY RESPONSIBILITY!!! At first I was upset this would cost me money, but realized this was a blessing in disguise as I now had full control over the most important marketing for a barbershop, a beautiful and welcoming entrance for old and new customers. I'm not a landscaping expert, so I was both picky and vague (I'm such a great client ;-), but Mike fully understood and delivered on what I wanted: 1. Save all the trees that weren't dying. 2. Trim down any tree limbs/shrubbery blocking the historic building and signage for mine and my neighbors shops. 3. Make it pretty/clean (they power washed the building and sidewalks too!). I was so excited with the results and I've put the before and after photos here so you can all see too! Not only did I notice new customers coming in, but I got a ton of wonderful comments from my regulars who were so used to my overgrown and dingy looking shop. I'm so happy with Plant Solutions' work, and so happy that he was able to save all the trees including the Cherry tree planted by the previous business owner's mother at least 60 years ago. He was also very professional and had my back when explaining all of the work he was doing to the landlord (who was suddenly VERY CONCERNED about the landscaping LOL). When I told him he had to cut more branches, he said I needed to give him more money. I gave him $100 more, and he just cut out some of the branches. I am not happy with the work, and I will not used this company again. If I could have given them no star, I would.

Steve came by to assess several hours after we requested and was able to schedule removal for the next day, astonishingly. We did not see indemnification language in his form proposal (agreement), but were able to have him add us as additional insureds -- and he volunteered to add all adjoining neighbors as well. His policy limits are adequate. And he affirmatively reached out to the school across the street from us to notice them about the large trucks and noise associated with tree removal. It was a huge job, but he and his team were able to complete the work in a single day. Other contractors had told us it would take two days. He and his team were clearly experts at rope work and took down branches without causing damage to the pergola or patio below the tree. They did have to take out our beautiful smaller tree adjoining the large, leaning tree, sadly. This kind of work is expensive -- heart-attack-inducing expensive -- but based on the quotes we received, Steve's pricing is not unreasonable. Very professional company and team, very responsive to questions. We would not hesitate to recommend Steve to anyone who finds themselves in the same unfortunate situation we were in!
