My previous dentist suggested that I find a dentist who specializes in restoration and preventative care. I began my search. Dr. Genninger came highly recommended from one of his patients. I contacted his office his technician listened attentively to my concerns during the phone call she invited me to visit. I do just that....I immediately felt comfortable. Best decision I ever made! I could rant and rave all day long about how great every visit is, because it really is, but let me just highlight one visit in particular. Ever broken a tooth before? Ya know, while eating beet chips by the pool? Only to have that broken tooth be the one tooth dentists have been telling you to crown for a really long time. From day 1, Dr. Cesar didn't push for that tooth to be crowned UNTIL something happened to it. What dentist says that? A good one, that's who. Anyways, long story short, they got me in the next morning and took care of that sucker real quick. Faster than Jimmy Johns delivery quick. So, all of that being said...make yourself an appointment. The one review on here that I read I do not understand how somebody unless it's personal could put a review like that. He has never cursed. He's never raised a voice he's always been Nice and he'll work with you as well. If you need some financial assistance and if you can't do it he'll make sure he can lead you to somebody that can do the work for you.

Doctor Ricks is a friendly, knowledgeable, experienced dentist and John his dental hygienist has given me the most thorough cleanings I have ever had in my life. I've been going to this dentist after hearing good word of mouth from several people. After trying…read more2 different dental chains, I was tired of them and wanted an independent dental office with no strings attached. This is what I got here. I called and made an appointment. It did take a few months to get one which is their only draw back. There is 1 dentist, so if you need to reschedule it likely won't be for the next day. If you are aware of this then you'll love this office. Every time I went the staff was pleasant, and the dentist actually talked to me and answered my questions. The office has a great vibe, all the rooms have TVs and the view of koi ponds or pretty gardens are standard. I was a patient at this office for over 2 years and the only reason I changed is because I moved to Riverview. I highly considered staying, but Riverview to Seminole Heights is not a quick drive. Now I'm left looking for another non chain location, which is not easy.

After going to him a few times, I went back to Dr Geyer. His staff stays with him which says a lot. He doesn't try to push extra gimmicks on you just to make money. He is professional and considerate. I can't imagine walking into the office without Anthony at the front desk to greet me. My husband is also seeing Dr Geyer. My husband's hygienist is Kandi and since Trish retired, I was pleased with Jill who took her place. We drive a ways to get to Dr Geyer's office, but it's well worth it in the long run!

My 80-year-old father recently visited the office seeking a straightforward and affordable treatment plan. He currently has an upper denture and a lower partial with two remaining attachment teeth that need extraction. The goal was to create a new upper denture and a new lower implant-supported denture, with two implants intended to support and stabilize the new lower denture. We fully understood that he would require bone grafting beforehand due to significant bone loss. My father does not have dental insurance and trusted the office to provide an honest and appropriate treatment plan. Instead, he was presented with a proposal totaling nearly $26,000. As his daughter, and someone with extensive dental knowledge, I was honestly baffled after reviewing the treatment plan and panoramic X-rays. One of the most concerning issues was the use of dental code D7210, which is intended for the surgical removal of an erupted tooth requiring bone removal, tooth sectioning, or flap elevation. The office proposed using this code for the extraction of my father's two lower teeth and charged $419 per extraction under this surgical code. However, the panoramic X-ray and treatment plan clearly indicate that my father already has severe bone loss and requires bone grafting to preserve what little bone remains for future implant support. In this situation, using a surgical extraction code involving bone removal seems completely inappropriate when a simple extraction code could have been used instead. It felt less like patient-centered care and more like an attempt to maximize billing at the expense of an elderly patient who trusted their guidance. Sadly, this experience reinforced the growing concern many people have about large dental chains prioritizing production and overhead costs over honest, ethical treatment planning. I can only say that I am extremely disappointed in the handling of this case and in Dr. Smiley Jr. specifically. My father deserved transparency, compassion, a realistic treatment plan, and to be presented with alternative treatment options that could have better fit his age, condition, and financial situation not what felt like an excessive and unnecessary financial burden.
