I'm writing this detailed review because Ryan Jurgens, the company owner, was caught by a Denver city inspector doing non-compliant electrical work on our home and never finished the job even with failed permitted work under his name (Permit #2016-ELEC-0002664). It cost $770 to pay another electrician to clean up his mess.
We had our kitchen remodeled and he was subcontracted to do the permitted electrical work. Days before the final inspection, power went out to our entire house except the kitchen, dryer, and furnace. I found that a single 15 amp breaker that had previously been used for the bathroom only had tripped. Turning it back on returned power to the house. The inspector confirmed that "circuits are being shared" by a single breaker, put that in his report, and failed the inspection.
When I first emailed Ryan about the issue, concerned that we had an overloaded circuit, he just replied, "You need a service change & upgrade...let me know if you need me to provide a price?" If there wasn't enough space in our breaker box, he obviously should have said something at the outset instead of taking shortcuts. The inspector told us that he probably would not have caught it if we hadn't brought it up, since the inspection was for the kitchen. It appeared that Ryan thought he'd get away with it because he left the old labels on the original breakers as though they were still wired that way.
Ryan chose not to be at the inspection and when we got him on the line to speak to the inspector, he said his reception was bad and hung up. We were friendly with him and he was paid in full and on time. He obviously doesn't care about his customers. read more
