We had a few contractors working at a few locations. JA gets a 5 star rating! Not ALL contractors get this rating! [Lighthouse Plumbing = 2 stars...they only get the 2 star rating because the job was completed] As a Police Officer, integrity means a lot. Few receive my endorsement, because honesty means a lot!!! I don't expect every contractor to subscribe to the same philosophy. However, JA was one of the few contractors that meets this standard. I would trust JA to do the job again! I shopped around for hurricane windows for our home and after a recommendation, I contacted Jupiter Aluminum. Mark contacted me to set up an appointment and explain everything and the next day, we had the estimate in writing and then chose to go with Jupiter Aluminum. If I had any questions, Mark was available to answer them right away. They delivered in time with great care, covered our furniture, thoroughly cleaned up the rooms and new windows and followed up with removal of our old tracks for the hurricane panels and shutters, and also patched up the holes and replaced the wood. We had other companies put in their contracts that they wouldn't even do this after the installation of the windows so we were very very pleased that Jupiter Aluminum took their time to completely finish the job, even after getting paid, which to me, is very impressive. This is an outstanding small enterprise. I randomly stopped to get some accordion hurricane shutter prices as I am getting ready for hurricane season. The secretary by the front door, Ms. Ingram I believe was very busy but still pleasantly took time out and wrote down my window measurements, gave an approximate estimate, and then referred me to Mark, the owner who was in the shop. Mark was very helpful and all business. He quickly went to my house and checked measurements and promised the shutters later that week. The workmanship was precise, first class. His price also by far the best. I did the install myself, not that difficult and they look great. The shop foreman actually helped me load them and they were ready right on time as promised. No customer service. Phone calls are not returned. and have received no satisfaction at all. A roll down shutter they installed does not function correctly after one year. There is a two year warranty, which apparently they are not going to honor. After one and a half months, they have yet to repair said shutter. Horrible business, stay away!! read more
