Only minor criticism is that they could be friendlier and greet customers and offer to open locked cases when they see you peering and lingering at one. I had to ask to see things and one of their employees didn't seem very enthusiastic about working. Prices were reasonable but not remarkably high or low.

People come from as far away as Connecticut and Boston to search for treasures The vendors are an eclectic cast of characters with wares ranging from antiques and junk to produce and baked goods. The days we visited there were about 25 dealers. Haggling is encouraged but these guys are pros. You want to get there early on Saturday to get the best selection of treasures. Sally, who run the market with her family, is friendly and keeps things organized. The restrooms are clean with plenty of hand sanitizer and flowers. There is plenty of parking as well. The coffee at the food trailer is good, we did not try the food.

A week after the last school shootings in TX, the market has several (I counted about four) booths selling gun-related paraphernalia, flags with AR-15 image saying "Trump for Guns", "F... Biden", etc. The market was more fun and charming when it only sold antiques, collectibles, handmade objects, and homemade/grown goods. Why can't the market return to this rather than increasingly represent the division, hate, and violence in the US?

I…read moreoffered the counter person five bucks apiece and he insultingly told me that one of them will cost $100 and the other one $40.. even the most amateurs record collector would laugh at such a ridiculous price for these trashed records. When I walked away from the counter, my wife overheard the shop owner and a customer laughing at us, saying that they could list them on eBay for $60 apiece. We resisted the urge to walk back and inform them that we were still in the store and can hear your insulting comments. Horrible experience, just keep driving past it!

It's big (two floors open, hints that sometimes there's a third floor). It's arranged so that a person can browse comfortably -- aisles are logical and not too tight. Not super-precious, but not junk. Not heavily mid-century modern, not heavily country. One of the downstairs vendors looks to be buying dollhouse miniatures at estate sales, so if that's your thing, the prices aren't cheap but the selection is interesting.

There are many antique and used furniture stores around, but most of them sell cheap pieces of furniture that are in poor condition or, the nicer ones are over-priced. I've been in Joe's many times now, waiting for the right style/size of piece to show up, and every piece in his store is high quality, excellent condition, and most are solid hard wood at prices you won't find anywhere else. Today the right size/style of dresser that my husband and I have been looking for finally turned up at Joe's! Yay! As everything is in his store, it was SO reasonably priced, we really felt like we got a great deal. I'll never shop elsewhere for used furniture now that I've found Joe's! Plus, Joe is a super nice guy. As a side note, I do know that he is planning on moving the store around the corner to the mill in Bennington within the next couple of months, so be aware of that.
