Staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming though, and seemed to know their clientele. Looked like they also had a small pantry for people in need, which was nice. This wasn't really a spot for antiques, though I'm sure there were a handful of things that might be called antique in there, but it was more just second hand/ boot sale/ thrift shop stuff. I had just taken an art class making shapes out of old junk, and this place definitely had a good selection for something like that.

Fantastic selection and service--what more could a person want? I cannot recommend this store highly enough. (And now I'm afraid that all the cool stuff I wanted but didn't buy will be gone when I go back). Good thing it's only open four days per week, or I'd be back every freakin' day. There are many antique and used furniture stores around, but most of them sell cheap pieces of furniture that are in poor condition or, the nicer ones are over-priced. I've been in Joe's many times now, waiting for the right style/size of piece to show up, and every piece in his store is high quality, excellent condition, and most are solid hard wood at prices you won't find anywhere else. Today the right size/style of dresser that my husband and I have been looking for finally turned up at Joe's! Yay! As everything is in his store, it was SO reasonably priced, we really felt like we got a great deal. I'll never shop elsewhere for used furniture now that I've found Joe's! Plus, Joe is a super nice guy. As a side note, I do know that he is planning on moving the store around the corner to the mill in Bennington within the next couple of months, so be aware of that.
