We found ourselves in a heartbreaking, high-stress situation and needed help--fast. My grandmother, who suffers from dementia, had hoarded her home for years. We had to clear it out quickly to sell it in order to cover her skyrocketing long-term care costs. On top of that, there was a second property that had been completely destroyed by a man who took advantage of my grandparents, then dragged us through a nasty court eviction. He had threatened my family every time we went near the home, and the condition he left it in was beyond awful.
Enter Luis and Junk Squad RVA.
From the first call, Luis handled our situation with compassion, professionalism, and a level of integrity that is rare to find in any industry. He listened. He understood. He didn't flinch when I told him the whole story--including the safety concerns--and he still took the job without hesitation.
He gave me a fair quote, and even offered to match or beat lower offers. Then--after I had already accepted--he went ahead and dropped the cost a bit further. That alone was generous. But what followed truly blew me away.
Luis stayed in constant communication. I received updates, pictures, and calls throughout every phase of the cleanouts. He and his team not only cleared the homes--they transformed them. They uncovered beautiful hardwood floors under the old, smelly carpets and removed every inch of it. He recommended a cleaning company for the deep clean--and when he wasn't satisfied with their work, he personally cleaned the parts that were missed.
Who does that?
Thanks to Luis, both homes look like completely different houses. They are now ready to sell for top dollar--and that means my grandmother can continue to receive the care she so desperately needs.
Luis, you are not just a business owner. You are a man of integrity, heart, and action. You turned one of the most painful experiences of our lives into something hopeful. You treated my family like it was your own.
