This place is choc-a-block with disorderly junk so it lives up to its cute, clever little name!
I'd seen Junk N Disorderly many-a-time when driving towards Crouch End (yes, ok, towards Banners!) and was curious to have a peek inside.
The first thing that caught my eye was a big chest outside - no, lads, not THAT kind of chest - it was like a big wooden treasure chest you'd see in a cartoon. I thought it would be great to put all my fancy-dress stuff in, because I have A LOT of it, and was pleasantly surprised by the £45 price tag. Pretty reasonable when compared to other antique and vintage shops!
Among the random junk there was a retro rocking horse, antique desks, dining chair sets, cabinets, old records in their original covers, beer pumps and all sorts of other weird and wonderful bits 'n' bobs all crammed into a tiny shop. There were things hanging from the walls and stored up high so you didn't know where to look first and every glance brought you another interesting little (or large) trinket.
Unfortunately I couldn't stay long as the boy was hungry and Banners jerk chicken was beckoning us, but I'm sure I'll be back soon for a more leisurely look around. And I didn't buy the treasure chest...perhaps Santa will bring it if I'm a good girl... read more
