They sent someone out to give an estimate and perform the removal once I accepted the estimate. It was so fast and convenient. They had all the items cleared out in less than 10 minutes. Had a storage building Torn down. The person who did it left my back yard looking like a Tornado had taken the building down. There was debris everywhere. Junk king came and cleaned up and removed it. They did a fantastic job for a reasonable price. I highly recommend them. read more

My elderly mother in law is moving in with us! I phoned Junk King on a Thursday evening and spoke with a nice young lady, who was very attentive and helpful (I've forgotten her name, but Thank You!). The next morning, two clean, professional, squared away men arrived in their company truck. They had texted me, providing updates on their arrival, on time as agreed upon the night before. These guys were awesome! Showed up on time and ready to work! We did get water in the house from Harvey and had to gut the entire thing of sheet rock, carpet and tile and a few appliances. Read good reviews for the Junk King here in Houston so we booked them to help take a couch off our hands. Apparently different franchises have vastly different experiences. My boyfriend and I both work during the day so we made an appointment for Monday 4-6. They called him early to ask if they come by earlier to pick up the furniture. He said sure, he can let them know if he gets off early. They then call four hours before our scheduled time to let him know they are in the area and they can either pick it up now or they would have to reschedule. So what was the point of us scheduling to begin with? The service we pay for with Junk King is to have the furniture picked up from us when convenient. Otherwise we would have gone with a donation center where they pick up furniture for free but on their schedule. My boyfriend had to take off work early in order to rush home. That is pay and time lost. I am very disappointed as we had scheduled an appointment which worked with our schedule, tried to accommodate the men by saying we would let them know if we got off early, and in the end they told us basically that scheduling the appointment was a waste of time as they do not honor them. The only reason I am giving them two stars is that I called a very gracious woman named Michelle on the phone who said she would do her best to get in touch with the franchise to ask what happened. I am currently waiting for a call back once she does get in touch. She was wonderful to talk to, and I hope there can be a resolution. -Update Wednesday- I am still waiting for a call regarding why the company handled scheduling the way it did. The interactions on the phone with Michelle have stayed consistently pleasant. Unfortunately she has been unable to get in touch with this franchise. When the franchise does not return corporate calls, that raises some questions for me. Again, still waiting on a resolution. -Update Thursday- Michelle said she would escalate the situation to her manager on Tuesday. So my boyfriend called her yesterday and she has remained awesome and patient with us. She told us someone would definitely be in touch. Today, we received an apology from the franchise owner letting us know that he was very sorry for what happened and that what we experienced was not the norm. Would have loved to have been refunded some money for the lost time and money, but we greatly appreciate the apology and I commend them for their customer service in rectifying a wrong. read more

Excellent experience with Mauro and his crew. This was an estate clear-out where everything unsalvageable in the house had been moved out and dumped in the garage (old furniture, mattresses, books, broken tools and machinery, and bags & bags of garbage) They arrived on time as scheduled with three trucks and were finished in an hour. They even swept out the garage when they were finished (most impressed!). The final price ended up being 20% less than the original quote. Would definitely recommend them. read more

I was very happy with the quick response and service provided by Junk King. I sent out an email to see if they could possibly pick up stuff I'd set out of the curb because I missed my regular large trash pick up day. It was just before Hurricane Harvey hit and I wanted it gone before it was scattered all over the neighborhood, Junk King staff were able to come out within an hour of my inquiry and gave me a free estimate. I was able to pay over the phone and it was a very easy process. I couldn't be happier with this service. read more

Removal service was OK, however the men who showed up charged $99---verbally without any written quote or documentation. Later, I received a receipt via email from the company that showed the charge was $65. Obviously, the men pocketed the $35 difference and I paid too much. Based on this, get a firm price from the company in writing before they show up. read more

Very bad business. 3 workers came out and gave a quote a week ago. Came back that day to start job and removed 3 pallets then stated that they would be back. Each reschedule its something different. Came back 3 days later and 2 workers playing on cell phones while one removes a few other items. Still have pile sitting in backyard after yet another reschedule being told they would be here today at 0800. It's now 2 and nothing. Lazy and very unprofessional and I will not be doing business with them again and do not recommend them. read more

Great service! I had a large pile of old fence that the city would not haul off. I called Junk King at 9 a.m. and same day at 11:15 a.m. the crew showed up - estimated the job and hauled the debris off. They swept up the street and driveway so no nails or small pieces were left. The crew called me 15 minutes before they arrived to say they were enroute. They were polite and efficient. Excellent experience....will use in the future if needed. read more

I have used this company twice. They are very efficient. The guys are really nice and I think their prices are reasonable. They also clean up after moving debris .
