1 STAR -- Absolutely Disappointing Experience…read more I would NEVER recommend College HUNKS Moving to anyone. They were happy to take my money, but when it came time to take responsibility for a damaged television, suddenly nobody wanted to be accountable. Their crew and office manager Angel handled and packed my TV, and my paperwork even included charges for two TV boxes. My Samsung TV ended up with physical damage so severe that Samsung deemed it unrepairable. Instead of taking responsibility and working toward a fair resolution, College HUNKS denied my claim and hid behind fine print, deadlines, and liability waivers. I even went through the process of filing a complaint with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, only to be told they couldn't help because the belongings were loaded into a POD transported by another company. The whole experience has been exhausting and incredibly disappointing. What bothers me most is not just the damaged television--it's the complete lack of accountability and the feeling that once they have your money, you're on your own if something goes wrong. Think twice before trusting this company with your belongings. Take detailed pictures, keep every receipt, document every conversation, and read every single line of their paperwork before letting their crew touch anything. A moving company should give customers peace of mind, not leave them fighting for answers after an expensive item is damaged. My experience has been a complete failure of customer service, and I would not use them again.

I originally put a project request out on Yelp and got 10 responses from nearby junk removal…read moreservices. I had put 4 photos and listed all the items that needed removal, including a metal shed that needed to be broken down and removed. Rene Beltran from Road Runner Junk Removal responded with the lowest estimate. The other estimates from other companies were outrageous, so I had to go with Road Runner (especially since they already had a higher Yelp star rating than all the others that had responded). Rene and 2 other guys showed up around 1:30pm and finished within 2 hours. I've included 4 "before" pics and 3 "after" pics. $375 was my final total of metal shed (tear down/removal), items inside the shed, about 6-8 fence posts, a pile of cut branches from the nearby tree, and a small dead lemon tree. Rene was courteous and responded to texts. I felt bad that they worked in this Houston heat. But at least my backyard looks so much nicer now. Thanks, Rene! I recommend him and his guys for junk removal.
