Booked an appointment with the Junk King team to help clear out a surprisingly high number of discardable large items left behind after my parents had moved out of their house. The remaining junk kept us from being able to list the house. The team showed up on time, fairly evaluated the contents and did their best to fit everything within the quoted price and truck space despite my lack of prior organization and propensity to keep adding on more things to dispose! I think their service and labor were excellent and would definitely use them again if the need were to arise. read more

New corporate owner raised prices 30%, hired miserable, apathetic people. They were great for many years, but now I'll never use them again.

I would highly recommend. The appointment was quick and easy. The pickup was friendly and professional and the price was very fair.

Offered to come same day. Chose next day 10-12. Got a call 11:30. Said they were running behind schedule. Expected the worst, based on another vendor we had used. Then he said they would arrive in 10 minutes, which they did, still well within the expected window. Definitely our go to outfit if we need further service. ; read more

Thanks for the Yelp! ratings, my fellow Yelpers! I made an appointment a few days ahead of time. They were on time and they worked hard. We certainly paid for it but totally worth it. They provided a quote, took everything away and cleaned it up! They were super friendly and they didn't stop until it was complete! Great service! read more

I will definitely be using Junk King again. Incenzio and Jake were amazing. They were polite, hard working and were extremely careful. They even swept up when they were done. Price was reasonable and I didn't have to do anything. read more

When we bought our house I had a large (8'x10') shed in the backyard that we didn't use. We wanted the space, and didn't want to maintain the shed which was starting to show its age. So, I decided to take it down and that meant I needed a construction bin to hold the construction debris. I called County Waste first, who only offered 10-day rentals (I needed it just for a day or two) at a pretty expensive price. Next, I called Junk King who had short-term rentals and rates that varied depending on the capacity of the bin used. For example, I ordered the smallest one which was about 13' deep and the rate varied from $150 (for 1/3 full) to about $350 (for completely full). Apparently, there is a $30 charge if it is "over-weight" which I got assessed with. Rental is for three days, but since they are closed on Sunday if you request delivery on Thursday you actually get it for four days! They gave me a four-hour window for drop off, and called 15 minutes prior to let me know they were on their way. It was clean, bright red, and the doors easily opened. I couldn't believe that I filled the whole thing up. I would not hesitate to use them again. Update: (9/01/2017): I needed a large rock removed from the front of my lawn. The previous owners had used it as a house number, but I thought it looked tacky. I tried moving it myself but it was way too heavy. $89 later and it is gone! read more

never showed up - texted to see where they were - got a text back saying they called. Yes they did but did not leave a message so thought the call was spam, did not text either. Called him - owner was rude and argumentative and when I asked why he did not try again or leave a message his response was "why didn't you just pick up?". Wow - customer service at it's highest level. read more

Junk king cleared out a broken gazebo out of my backyard in the winter a day after I requested them! They gave me a fair quote upfront and the guys worked quickly and efficiently and got it out in record time. It literally took me one day to set up an appointment and they came to pick up the next morning. Had to compare prices in different companies and Junk King was the lowest price we got so we chose to go with and sooo satisfied. Def will use again when we need. Highly recommend. read more

Had them at my moms house yesterday. They arrived on time. Gave me an estimate and I agreed to it. They did the job and stuck to the estimate. They worked non stop and got the job done. Very professional. They took over 3 truckloads away. Swept up the place when they were done. I highly recommend " Junk King" if you want the job done right, fast and for a reasonable price. They are the best!!!!! Jah, Lemeik, Rocky and Gustavo took our beast of a built in refrigerator out from our kitchen. No other company would even consider it. They are terrific. They communicate with you on timing. They're flexible. When you need to get rid of stuff...sometimes you under-estimate. They are calm and don't freak out when you add more stuff. They are respectful about which items should be recycled vs. trash. I have used the four times and I have been pleased every time. Their pricing is fair also. Terrific. read more

The guys with Junk King were fantastic. They called ahead and removed all my junk in a timely manner. I would recommend them to anyone!

Very professional. Gave me a very fair price. I would highly recommend Junk King Albany

Hired Junk King to deliver a dumpster for a basement clean-out project and they never showed up to deliver the dumpster. After having the city Code Enforcement block parking on my street so a dumpster could be parked on the street and hiring workmen to remove the debris, they never delivered the dumpster which caused the whole project to be cancelled, which not only inconvenienced me but also my neighbors who needed to park on the street. read more

Junk king was outstanding! They were one of the only people who I have dealt with in selling my house, that actually made the experience wonderful! I would recommend them in a heart best, prompt, courteous, respectful! read more

Todd Porter and his team are the best for junk removal in the capital region. They call you when they're on their way (literally nobody else does this!) are super considerate and professional and they are QUICK. I recently used them for a client who was an elderly gentleman moving out of house he had spent the past thirty years in. He also ran a tax business out of the basement. As you can imagine he was a bit picky about some stuff needed to be sorted, handled and disposed of. The Junk King guys had a level of patience with him and I that was above and beyond what you get sometimes in the real estate business. Keep up the great work guys! read more

My tenants moved out and left their old furniture and kids toys in the back yard. UGH!!! Wet and Dirty. I called JK and made an appointment for 8:00-10:00. Sure enough at 8:00, I got a call from Richard. He would be at the house in 15 minutes. PERRRRFECT!! By 8:15, Richard and Clinton pulled up. They looked at the junk and gave me a quote that I found reasonable. Within 30 minutes, all the junk was gone. Magic. Thank you Junk King!! read more

A team of two young men showed up right on time and removed a very heavy sofa from my apartment and hauled it away! The service is a bit pricey, but the peace of mind of having the furniture gone was worth it. They were very professional, quick, and respectful of my home. read more

The whole process was extremely user friendly. Todd is very responsive - arrived on time to give us a quote, worked with us to set a date for service, and called on day of service to let us know when the guys would be arriving. Had I known it was this easy and reasonably priced, I would have done this a long time ago. With Junk King, there is NO reason to keep unnecessary clutter in the house or garage. The two men who came to do the work were really nice and polite and respected my home. They worked hard and fast and I couldn't believe it when they said they were done. I am now ready for home renovation project - saving myself so much time and effort and stress. Highly recommend, Junk King! read more

EXCELLENT service. I'm from out of state, and had to do a clean-out in very short order. I called, and they delivered one in a couple hours. Everyone else had contracts, etc. Junk King was fast and simple. Great service! Would use them again in a heartbeat. read more

They emailed me right away and were supposed to set up and appointment for the following Tues. and I never heard from them again.

These people are the best. I have used them twice. They arrive on time, give you a fair quote, and take it all away quickly. The workers are very polite and friendly too. I wouldn't use anyone else for stuff removal. read more

I have had two excellent experiences w/ The Junk King. The first was clearing out 50 years worth of "stuff" from the family home. The second experience was having my late brother's apartment cleared out. I was very pleased and satisfied with both experiences. The teams arrived on time and worked steadily and diligently. They were professional and polite. I believe their prices are fair and worth every penny. Keep up the great work! read more

Not happy. I asked that a few items be left behind when cleaning out my sisters home. Both a wedding dress and a velvet Irish Dance Costume, both very expensive items were not left behind as requested. They are also supposed to sweep clean before leaving. #1 they came, walked through the home and gave an estimate and we agreed to price and then they left without a washing machine and when questioned about the wedding dress and costume, Todd said my husband was very rude and that he probably took the items so he could get away with not paying for the job. I am a realtor and did plan on using him for other jobs but would not deal with him again. My husband was even nice enough to buy both guys coffee and bagels from DD. read more

A smooth experience. Who wants to deal with creepy storage areas? Well, it was time, and Junk King made it easy. The manager responded to my questions and provided an initial photo estimate. The date was set, and I knew what to expect when I received my confirmation call and crew visit several weeks later. The team leader confirmed final details and cost on site. The crew needed no additional guidance and even took care not to move old fixtures. They were committed to more than junk removal and swept the floor thoroughly when the project was complete. If you are dealing with a potential headache over junk removal, I recommend you give Junk King a call. read more

What a pleasant experience! All of my contacts with the company were positive. Phone calls were returned quickly. Answers were clear and complete. The appointment was made in a timely manner, they called ahead and came on time. Mike and Steve were polite and professional. They left the area cleaner than it was when they got there! Another thing I love about this company is how committed they are to being green. They recycle over 1/2 of everything they collect and their trucks even run on bio fuel. I highly recommend this company and this crew. I would surely call them first if I had more junk to be picked up! I'm a fan. read more

They came the same day I called. The drivers were very nice and they removed a couch in 15 minutes. I would call then again.
