Fantastic service. Scheduling was fast and easy. Pricing was much lower that chain junk removal services. I can't say enough about the 2 men that came to my home. Very professional, friendly, fast, efficient and conscientious about recycling and chemical disposal. They very quickly took off the legs of a very heavy sleeper sofa to get it down my stairs. And I was beyond trilled that they could take and dispose of unused paint as well as needles used for insulin disposal (no, pharmacies do NOT take them anymore and your main options is to call local police stations to see if they accept them). I was in an emergency. It was the Sunday before Memorial Day, and the people I'd hired the day before to clear out a house had shown up with a garden trailer, taken a few things, and left after charging me $400. I had cleaners and the landlord coming Tuesday, and if I didn't get the house cleared before then, it was going to be a real problem. I called and spoke with Dupree early that evening, who told me that they could show up the next day at 8 am. The following day they showed up on time with an appropriately sized truck and began efficiently removing everything from the house that needed to go in two loads. Ok, I am not a big fan of technology at the moment...nearly done with my review of Junk It and then lost it! So trying again... My experience was awesome and I highly recommend them. I called on a Saturday (today), late morning, and they were able to be at my home within the hour to haul away whatever I wanted. Thank you! This made my weekend! We are all so busy I know. Here's my experience with this business. Draw your own conclusions. The owner came out, looked at the job, and gave me an estimate of $200-$230. I accepted it. He came back to do the job, and now he said he was going to charge me $380 because the load (consisting mostly of books) was heavy, despite the fact that he had seen it himself a couple of hours earlier. The pricing on their website is by volume, not weight, but in any case he knew or should have known approximately what the weight was. Then he said he was doing me a favor by only charging $150 more than the high end of the estimate range. read more
