I run a handyman business and have used Junk Magicians for years to help with pickups every 2-3…read moremonths, but unfortunately I am now having to find a new vendor to work with because of recurring issues. For a while they were great with providing estimates and scheduling over text, but there have been a couple instances where they were no-shows because of some scheduling mishap, and for the last 4-5 pickups they have been hours late with no communication. I schedule my work and personal time around these pickups so it has become too much of an inconvenience. The last pickup was no different as they arrived after 6pm when the appointment was for 3-4pm, and on top of that one of the techs broke one of my driveway lights and tried to hide it. Not a huge deal, but two days later they were a no-call no-show to another pickup at a client's house where I was sitting and waiting. That was scheduled between 3-4pm, so I ended up cancelling at 5pm and informed Bret that I would no longer be hiring them. He was apologetic, but the techs lied by claiming they tried "calling and messaging" me. When I asked for proof it then became one call that failed immediately because they didn't have service. He took responsibility and was open to feedback but really didn't bother to try and retain me as a client, so I will definitely be moving on to another company. I hope with the feedback I provided they can make the necessary improvements, but anyone reading this please be aware of potential communication issues. No hard feelings. It's business.

I also reached out to another company, and they were able to get back to me on Saturday and come clean them that same Saturday morning. Because I didn't receive any communication from the first company, I can't really speak to pricing, quality of work, or responsiveness beyond that initial attempt to contact them. I was hoping to try their service, but the lack of follow-up made that impossible. Since I never actually got a response or had any service completed with the first company, I can't say whether I would recommend them or not.
