He kept in place my flagstone walkway and several existing plants. I'm converting my front yard to xeriscape. Jim listened to what I had planned for the space and catered the grading and removal based on my expectations and some. He took into consideration that I would eventually put down decomposed granite so removed soil at edges to ensure the gravel stayed in my yard. He knew exactly how much to remove His use of his machinery is done with surgical precision so he's able to remove what needs to be removed without touching anything adjacent to the work area that needs to remain. He treated my mature Afghan pine with care and preserved my existing drip/bubbler line I wanted to retain. I am so pleased with the results which exceeded my expectations. I will use Blue Horizon Excavating for all my future projects. Jim is just the best. He is responsive and provides recommendations to make your project a success. It also helps that he is very easy to talk to. I know very little about converting a lawn to xeriscape, I'm a complete novice. Jim made the first step in the process easy; I can't recommend him enough. Added before picture at end of photos

I was so pleased with this company.....from the office manager, owner, and workers themselves. In…read moreJuly of 2026, I had my inground spa demolished. The Imperial team showed up promptly at 7 AM and started their full day. Towards the end of this project one of the things that impressed me was that I had wanted the hole from the spa filled up pretty much to the top as I needed to add pavers to cover the dirt. The crew used this machine that heavily pushes down the dirt and rock to make the earth sturdy. When "finished", they saw that it was about 8-10 inched from the top so they went back to their trucks with a wheelbarrow and collected more dirt and debris to get the dirt line higher. Imperial took care of the permit, electrical and plumbing. I am a senior citizen who had question after question with these folks...on the phone, email and in person. All treated me with such respect. In a heartbeat, use them.

We are so lucky to have found Salisbury Excavation. When it came to the home project I had in mind,…read moreI wasn't sure what kind of company I needed to hire, or where to even begin. I came to yelp and typed a general forum of what I was looking for and luckily, that forum was sent to Salisbury Excavation. Chris got back to me right away and offered to come give me an estimate on the job that day! He came and took measurements of the our current project and even took extra measurements of another project we hope to have done in the future just so we could get an idea for numbers. Chris was timely and very knowledgable on his line of work. I was very transparent with Chris on my lack of knowledge in this realm of things, and he was patient and descriptive on what to expect. I had the bid for my project that evening, and the next morning, we were setting up for him to come. They finished our project today, and let me just say, the whole process was amazing. Chris was super thorough, honest, and helpful with everything. As a woman in her 20s, I have found it's hard to find businesses that don't try to take advantage of you for your lack of experience or knowledge in their line of work, but Salisbury Excavation threw that belief out the window. Chris went above and beyond in helping us and we are excited to do business with him again and recommend him to everyone we know in need of his type of service. Thank you, Chris!!

Summary: friendly, responsive, professional equipment, good customer service…read more Would use again. Just used them yesterday. I had just taken down a large above ground pool and all of the supports and equipment associated with it. Also had other miscellaneous junk. Although Mesa has a disposal service beginning at $31, they would not have been able to take the refuse I had. It weighed too much, too bulky, etc. Also, I didn't want to wait for the yearly Mesa free disposal dumpsters to arrive probably not until May or June. Renting a trailer was out, because by the time I rent the trailer and dispose of the refuse myself, I'd be paying the same amount if not more than I paid for service yesterday. There would've been fees due to the pool. Finally, I have a large landscaping project that will begin soon, and I just wanted to get the crap out of there. Plenty of junk removal services out there with good reviews. I checked out a few, read the reviews, and went for best junk removal. I like their truck. Charge was 350, but there was quite a volume of material and a lot of junk. It was worth it. They were very conscientious about making sure they only took what I wanted them to. Fast and efficient. I would definitely consider them again, if I have more junk to get rid of in the future. I guess they also do some demolition such as removing sheds and some structures. Talk to them or check out their website.
