My kids are determined to drag me to every thrift store in Bakersfield and this one we've heard about a lot lately so we began here. As we parked I noticed people on their hands and knees digging through piles of clothing in the parking lot. As it was a pretty hot day, I wasn't looking forward to rummaging and went inside. They have pretty good stuff inside but the line was long and I didn't feel like waiting. When we went back through the parking lot my youngest decided to get in on the rummaging and dove in. After she kept finding treasures I decided to get in on the fun and found some great items as well. Everything was only $1 an item so it was way worth the sweat pouring from me. We will definitely be back to rummaging here again soon! read more

This was our first time visiting here. It's very organized and clean. I was able to find a few things. I have a favorite men's designer and I found one of his shirts. Total score! Easy to navigate; good quality items; appropriate pricing; wonderful staff. Appreciate the vignettes with the furniture because they help visualization. I used to go to the once a year sales the week before Mother's Day in the church parking lot before the store was opened. We would line up before 5AM and it would open at 7AM. After looking, many would partake of the pancake breakfast. I also appreciate the monies go for missionary work. read more

Fabulous and they have everything. The staff is nice and very helpful. This is the best second hand store in town. Very reasonable prices. They don't sell junk. I have purchased vintage lamps and sofa from them for great prices. Kitchen items, knick knacks and vintage porcelain figurines for 1/5th of what other antique stores sell items for. I really like thrifting at the place because I always find something good. Today, however, was frustrating because I had a handful of stuff from the craft aisle. When I got to the register, I laid all my goodies out on the counter. Well, all the thread I had selected apparently was supposed to be individually priced. None of it was, so they couldn't sell it nor was there anyone in charge who could make a decision on the price. Then the one big piece of fabric I really wanted also was not tagged with a color coded tag, so no sale there. I ended up leaving everything there. read more

Hands-down the best thrifting experience I've had in a long time. Staff was welcoming, prices were LOW, place was huge, items were nicely merchandised, organized, easy to walk through, prices mostly clearly marked, clean, fun, nice music, relaxing environment, and lots to see. Coffee mugs are 65¢, so how come Goodwill charges $3? VHS 25¢, which is a steal. My kids and I all found something to take home. They have a private parking lot, and the building is attractively painted outside, easy to find. A great thrifting trip! read more

Don't be fooled by this "Christian" thrift store. They price gouge on items that you can find at Goodwill (shockingly) cheaper. I'm not sure why Christian thrift stores struggle to charge reasonable prices for donated items to help their lower income community. Also, I inquired why sales tax is charged at point of sale and it turns out this must be a FOR profit organization, not an entirely charitable one. Found a few things that were priced ok, but wouldn't return. read more

Junkatique is such a wonderful organization to donate to. All you have to do is go in and read the information on their walls to know what they support and you'll be amazed. Junk-Atique is a great local thrift store! I'll be honest I don't shop there all that often but what I love are the events the owner puts on. I've been to a couple pop-ups in their parking lot and recently went to a super fun clothing swap! I love the encouragement to re-use/re-purpose and not buy brand new. These events are so great for the community! I've also purchased some Christmas decor and gift bags. They have lots of different rooms of items from furniture to clothes to kitchenwares to holiday decor. Check them out before you head to Target! read more

This is a well-organized thrift store with friendly staff. Although the furniture can be a bit pricey, it is clean, well displayed, and there is a good variety. Check out their selection before running to Ashley! I love that they support the community. That is they raise money for the Bakersfield Pregnancy Center, for example. I highly recommend checking this establishment out. read more
