Some even requested just underwear that fit. Their needs were simple, and with the community donating wonderful items Bargain Box was able to make it happen. They are run by volunteers, and every penny goes to clothes for children in need. Everyone that works there is friendly and welcoming. It's so clean and inviting. This is how you run a thrift store, unlike the ones we recently went to in Lancaster, charging outrageous amounts for used things they got for free. The man who accepted the money for the vendor tickets was very nice. The two females in the office acted like it physically hurt them to have to deal with me when I went to rent tables. Furthermore, they charged me DOUBLE the advertised rate for the tables. The posted, advertised rate for rented tables is $5.00 each. They charged $10. That was for very tacky tables. On the other hand, the vendors and visitors were great. I truly enjoyed my day.

This was her first purchase and was excited. Decided to order a few things. The owner said we would get it by Tuesday the latest and he would let me know. Perfect! We had plans that weekend. Gave me time to clean up. Tuesday came no call. When my daughter called the owner said her furniture hadn't gotten picked up and we would get it tomorrow. I of course was upset. The furniture we purchased cost us over $1,000. When I tried to talk to the owner he kept saying I was attacking him. What? Are you serious for wanting an explanation for why my fortunate hadn't been delivered. He said it over 10xs. Got upset and even told me that if I wanted to he would give me a refund after I said we arrange our schedule to make sure we are available when he delivers. I'm getting upset and ready to get my money back. To much attitude from the wonder when I just want an explanation as to why my delivery isn't there on Tuesday after ordering it the Friday before. No explanation was needed he just kept saying he can't talk to me because I'm attacking him. I showed up that day with my daughter who ordered the bed. I told him I wanted a refund. He said he would charge me a stalking fee. Mind you the order hadn't even been picked up from Los Angeles. So what are we restocking? Just cancel it. You just told me on the phone I can cancel my order. I want my full refund. I tried not to make a scene for him and the business he had there but he just wanted to argue. He didn't care. He said $1,000 is nothing he makes way more. Told me he has the cheapest place around. I told him your communication skills are horrible. You could have explained things better when I called or called me and told me the situation. We gave you $1000 for something we had faith you wouid deliver. It was upsetting and I didn't have the money for the restocking fee. My daughter that day posted an honest review of his customer service being unprofessional and unkind. Not caring about the customer service. He immediately call me and asked me about the review and told me to take it down or he would do no business with me. Mind you I didn't even know my daughter posted it but that's what reviews are for right. To share our personal experience with others considering making business with the company. After talking to my daughter she took it down. Never have I ever had someone whom I posted an honest review contact me and tell me to take it down. The next day I came up with the money and wanted to cancel it. Didn't like the way he disrespected me, he was not professional as a business owner and even after I explained to him my daughter is special needs and she wanted this furniture. He said the furniture is on its way. It's to late I can't cancel. He would give me my money back. I said well that's what the restocking fee is for. How much money do you want because I'm never doing business with you again. He said he was going to be kind to me and give me $50 credit because he realized he didn't communicate with me well. That's a bribe I didn't want. I said no I want my money back. He said no. A few hours later I get a call and text the delivery guy ups coming. He was quiet and nice. Helped put a few items in. I even gave him a water because it was so hot outside. My daughter loved the merchandise. It's unfortunate that we had such a horrible experience with the owner. Otherwise my review would have been different. As a consumer it's not always about the money. It's about the excellent customer service that makes you keep coming and refer others to the business. I will never go back and if he contacts me over this review. I will handle it as harassment to the authorities. To clear things up he should post the video recording of our transactions to confirm I lied. Since his reply on google business was just that. We can wait!!!
