I love stopping here to get my wife a gift, check out the workshop schedule or just hang out before I head home to Portland. The only complaint I have is that last time I was there this very angry man, I think he said his name was Frank M? Well he was just standing outside crying about how nobody would buy the soap he was trying to sell in the parking lot and shaking a large stick at people. They were very kind to let Frank stay but I think he should have took the hint and found another place to cry. Perhaps Drake Park. Anyway love the business and no shame to Frank but Pomegranate has way better soap.

Every time we visit Sisters, we have to visit Paulina Springs Books at least once or twice. Since…read moreour last visit, it looks like they either expanded or repurposed part of the store. There's now a huge space with tables, chairs, and games. It's an open invitation to the community to come in, relax, and have a little fun. Another thing I love about this bookstore is that staff members handwrite notes about books they enjoy and attach them to the books. It's a thoughtful touch that helps connect the right readers with the right books. Near the checkout, I also noticed a sign reminding dog owners about the dangers of hot asphalt. It's a simple reminder, but it speaks to the community-minded spirit that seems to be woven throughout the store. Will we be back? Of course. A trip to Sisters isn't complete without a visit to this community bookstore. If you found this review helpful, give it a like so it can help others discover one of Sisters' true gems.

There is a lot of traffic at Newport, but this place is across the street, I'm not convinced that anyone is going to notice this place. That said, the merchandise is lovely. Clean, crisp home decor. Very neutral colors. Not a lot of decorating risks showcases. I loved all of the tableware, would love some of their dishes. Very pricey. I did not check out the prices on bedroom furnishings. Great displays both inside and in the window (I guess that's inside too). No one greeted me when I came in, it took a few minutes, she was with another customer. What can you do? I'm not sure if they even advertise this as an antique store though or if that's just what ended up on Yelp.
