We especially love that she speaks Spanish, since our son does too, and it makes the experience even more comfortable for him. She always remembers the types of haircuts he gets, is quick and precise, and every cut comes out great. I am beyond disappointed with the service we received at Junior Cuts in Plaza Bonita. I specifically scheduled an appointment with Veronica, but due to a scheduling mix-up on their end, my daughter was placed with Isabel. Isabel rushed through the entire cut in less than 10 minutes. The results are unprofessional--the bangs are completely uneven and look like a "hack job." It's clear she was in a hurry to get us out of the chair rather than providing a quality cut for a child. Absolutely terrible experience at Junior Clips. I made an appointment and followed all the text instructions exactly -- I texted "H" to check in like they told me, got a confirmation that I was checked in, and waited as instructed. After 10 minutes, I went up to the booth only to be told I was not checked in and that I was now late -- even though I had followed their system. The staff was rude, dismissive, and took no responsibility for their broken process. Instead, they pushed me onto a waitlist like it was my fault. Completely unprofessional and disorganized. Would not recommend this place. I chose it specifically because they have car chairs for kids, but when we arrived, ours only had a booster seat. The space was overcrowded, with no room for a stroller and no space for me as the parent, even though I needed to help my toddler. Due to the crowding, it overstimulated my toddler. Jessica is our go to girl! She's been cutting my boys hair for 3 years. She always cuts their hair the way my husband will ask her & she'll even ask us if we want shorter or what she recommends depending on their hair length. My boys are comfortable with her, they already know when it's haircut time they'll use the tablets and get candy after. She has the patience for when my baby (7 months old) cries, she'll talk to him and tries whatever she can to cheer him up. I do recommend to book your appointment online so you don't have to wait on the waitlist if you're a walk in. It's super easy to book and they usually always have appointments available and you won't have to wait 90+ mins or not get any service if they are busy. Just remember to confirm your appt. I love this place ! don't get me wrong but today 12/19/2024 we went in as a walk in signed in and when we received a message to head back we did , the stylist told us she had called us but never did we receive a call . literally got there 5 minutes after the message was sent !!!! I was told by the stylist that she would get to me once she was done with her current appointments. After waiting for 90 minutes, I stood up to check in, only to be told that all of their appointments were confirmed and that I would no longer be accommodated to be seen ! after being told i was why would she say i was going to be seen if i wasn't going to !. One of your employees (Ruby) was very disrespectful to my Autistic son and to me by making offensive comments about him and toward him. I let her know from the beginning that he moves around and has sensory issues, as is the case with many Autistic people. She agreed to proceed but then kept saying "Hay Dios mio" and complaining that she couldn't handle it. She said she'd never encountered "one like this." What's worse, my son understood her and kept apologizing for being a "bad boy" and proceeded to have a meltdown mid-haircut because he was led to believe he was being bad and rude. Luckily, Sarah finished the job and was incredibly patient. Needless to say, I gave Ruby a piece of my mind (with tears and heartbreak at this point) and suggested she educate herself on neurodivergent children. She the proceeded to tell me that she wasn't used to working with "sick" children. I just about lost my patience then and educated her in both English and Spanish until one of the employees asked me to lower my voice. I did no such thing until I was through with Ruby's life lesson. To the owners and management: if you're going to have a business that serves children, you must be inclusive of ALL children. I'm waiting on a call from the owner (left you my info with Sarah) so we can clear up whether or not your business is inclusive or if I need to discuss this with the Office of Civil Rights and the Better Business Bureau. I'd like for this business to commit to educating its employees on working with ALL children so other families don't have to make the mistake of bumping into someone with Ruby's mentality. Ignorance is the real sickness here. From what I am told (I've been doing my homework) this is not the first time Ruby says something similar, and clearly nothing has been done about this.
