My daughter's hair is very thick at the bottom with no texture at all. It's also not cut evenly either. I actually had to try to fix what was done at home that night. From the moment I sat in the chair, I expressed what I wanted with inspirational pictures, sharing previous experiences where stylists hadn't followed my requests. I was initially told that I couldn't get money pieces because of my bangs, which was fine. Instead, I was suggested highlights, but those are completely different styles. I had to ask twice to at least try the money pieces below my two front pieces. When it came to my haircut, I requested a shorter style but faced some resistance from the stylist. She asked if I was sure about the length, and while I understand that this can be a concern for some, I made it clear that I have experience with shorter hair. Additionally, she inquired whether I wanted my hair texturized or layered. I politely declined several times, but she continued to insist that texture or layers would make the cut look softer or less harsh. I appreciate that she is a professional and knows her craft, but I believe a customer's personal preferences should be considered, especially since she accepted the job and was aware of my requests. Overall, it felt like I was being pressured into someone else's choices. I would also make sure to ask for prices beforehand. I was surprised that the total came to $365. The haircut cost $85, which was reasonable, but the money pieces alone were $135, in addition to the overall black hair dye.
