Horrible place. All employees were hiding in the back the whole 3 hours I was there. Asked staff to keep an eye on the laser area because the kids were getting out of hand. This place has a reputation for being filthy and it is!!!! The play scape looks like it's never been cleaned. Some mothers say every time their child leaves they come home with pinkeye. The bathrooms are disgusting. The way it is marketed is to be party centered yet the log tables for parties have chairs flipped upside down over them and those chairs are covered in dust. I wonder when the last time was that they had a party at this place. Also The things that people said about this place two years ago still hold true basketball flat and none of the other stuff working either. When you go to the counter to order food sometimes he will not be addressed for a long period of time. A hold on I'll be right with you would be nice. Also if you're trying to do a party they do not allow a cake from somewhere else. So these two things were pretty much a dealbreaker for me with my child's birthday and I decided to go to Rochester play instead. I drove all the way across town to go somewhere else. It's gross, dirty and if I could give a zero I would. The only thing that gives it a 1 is the fact my kids like it and I just tell myself it's not dirtier than playing outside at a playground. The drinks are super expensive, especially when you factor in the 9.00 per child you paid to come in the door. Look around the coffee flavoring pumps if you really want to gross yourself out. It doesn't look like it's been wiped down in months. There is no container to throw a straw wrapper so you have to walk that across to the garbage can area which also has filth everywhere around it. Most people don't take the time to walk to the trash and just leave their garbage all over the area where they put your drinks down at. This I noticed as I stood waiting for my frozen coffee drink for 20 minutes. I asked for a refund but they said it was "coming right up" and "there wasn't a manager there to give a refund" so I just took my chances and figured I've probably ate worse. I don't take my shoes off and I don't let my children take theirs off either - it is gross. I saw a child throw up all over the floor, they cleaned it up -ish and the mom let the child continue playing! Now I know that part can't be controlled by the facility but I can't imagine how many nasty germs were peppered everywhere by throw up kid. Look around the actual play structure and it's dirty as well. Corners and around the poles of the structures, walls, etc. there is a distinct line where you can tell someone at some point did a half way job of moping with dirty water. Spider webs everywhere, weird white stuff leaking from the walls! There is also an emergency exit that is hidden by the structure. I always imagined a child "escaping" or getting stolen by someone in the creepy corner haha. It does have free Wi-Fi but I don't even know if that redeems this place. read more

Very disappointed with the customer service. I just bought a 3 month pass on Thursday and received an email on Saturday stating $10.00 and and a free month when you buy that pass. I tried to call and see if they would honor that since I only bought it two days ago and they said no. I didn't get a pass card yet only a temporary one because they were out of them. Their basketballs were all deflated and deformed, you couldn't dribble them. There is a huge puddle right by the bathrooms that kids run in and their socks are soaked. The Laser Tag is never working when we go there. I definitely won't buy another pass after this one is over. You think they would want to make their customers happy so they buy another pass but I guess not. read more

We have been here twice and both times we were unimpressed, but today was by far the worst. First off the place is dirty. Puddles, food and juice boxes in play areas, and the eating area is bad as well. My daughter had food sticking to her socks, which were thrown away. My other issue is the place is total chaos. There are only a few teenagers working, no security, and most of the parents are not with their children. I did not feel this was a safe or clean place for my children. read more

I think this place is really fun for kids. My kids always have a blast here, but most parents expect more when it comes to cleanliness. I worked at lifetimes daycare for years, and we had a strict cleaning check list and schedule. This place needs to do the same. The top of the structure and underneath every table and chair is so dusty and usually has garbage. I could go on for days of how they need to improve there cleanliness. But that's my only complaint. Avoid going on weekend. It was Extremely over capacity. I contacted the local fire marshal to address the situation. Also, parts of the climbing structure were damaged. The employees don't monitor any of the play areas and many of the young children are unsupervised. read more

Toddler area is super small... People aren't watching their toddlers... Not worth the money. Also, there were older kids 10+ coming in and out of the toddler area, which isn't safe when they are pushing toddlers out of the way. Wouldn't go back. read more

My kids just LOVE this place. It is hard to find a place that accomodates my kids, who range from 2-10 in one setting. Jungle Java fits the bill. There are times when they are understaffed but I can only imagine how hard it is to staff that store. We have been there 4 times already and we have seen it completely busy when its beautiful outside and have also seen it completely empty at times too. I know these play places seem to come and go and we LOVE JJ!! So, I hope they stay! The food is good and the coffees are excellent! The laser cave is the best according to my 10 yr old and I can't keep my little guys off the sensor games! Its my haven that makes our whole family smile! read more

I just had my daughters first birthday party there and let me tell you to save your money!! When I had made the reservation I had told them I had a handicapped family memeber thinking they would put us closest to the bathroom. No! We were shoved all the way at the back with hardley any room, I had to constantly hound our so called party attendant for the kids food, drink, the adults food, plates for the cake and so on that I literally didn't get to spend 5 min playing with my daughter. For spending over $500 on this party and getting shit on I will never return to this place! !! Thank you so much for ruining my daughters party and my memory of her first birthday. read more

Perfect place for child's birthday party. The younger kids like to climb and slide and the older siblings can play basketball or laser tag. The food is OK, could be better. The service was terrific as well as the pre-party planning. They accommodated the extra last minute guests too. read more

My son loves this place but it is disgustingly dirty. The toddler area needs a paint job and a vacuum run through it. The floors are covered in randomness and the tables by the seating area are covered in sticky stuff. It just blows my mind that I never see a staff member out on the floor picking up. I have gone several times, each time right when they open and it looks like they do not clean at the end of each night. I keep going back thinking it was a fluke but it honestly looks like it's never cleaned! Very disappointing. Come on management... Put those young workers to work and have some standards! read more

First, I'd like to say my kids had fun, but as a mom I'd like to share my thoughts of Jungle Java Clinton Twp. 1) There appeared to be no one over the age 20 working on the VERY busy/rainy day. It was a bunch of unprofessional kids running the place. No owner or managerial-looking person. 2) They were making an attempt to sweep the floor, but with the amount of people that day it just appeared dirty and messy. All the chairs in the cafe were pulled out, food was on the floor, wet footprints were making a trail all over the place. (hoping that wasn't from wet socks after a bathroom break!) I just couldn't help to get a little creeped out when my son went into the men's bathroom (with me waiting outside) and a sketchy man followed him into the bathroom. My heart sunk and luckily my son exited quickly. (From now on he'll be with me in the woman's room). Lastly I'd like to comment on security. The exit door was unlocked and NO ONE was checking people out. There wasn't even anyone at the exit door when we left...we just walked right out and didn't get asked by anyone to sign out in their book. It could have been a 3 year old walking out on their own for all they knew. There are no checks and balances as to who is exiting with what children...Come ON! Even Chuckie Cheese checks kids to make sure they are with the right adult!!! I will not be returning here. I thought of being generous and giving this a 2 star, but I simply can't. Just had my son's 4th birthday party there. I had a strange sinking feeling when I booked this place that it was not going to be what I had hoped. The website doesn't truly explain how birthday parties run. When I called they did not seem very helpful and just bothered by my call. We had 35 adults and 14 kids and stuffed between 2 other birthday party tables. Given this place has so much space and apparently much bigger than the other locations they can use the space better. I requested the kids food to come out by 1:15, adults food as well. Adult food finally came out maybe by 1:45, kids food was even later. The kids started eating the platters for the adults so we ran out of sandwiches for the adults. I had to order 2 more platters. Adult drinks were a complete fiasco, those finally came out AFTER people were done eating.....I actually pushed the cart out with the drinks myself since "our host" was so slow. I asked about just putting pitchers of pop out on the table to make it easier for that many guests, but they aren't allowed to do that. I got 1 pitcher of water to be kept on the table that I filled up twice myself. I and some of my guests served the food to all the kids when it finally came. I literally felt like I should have been wearing one of those green jungle java shirts because I was pushing carts, cleaning plates, taking drink orders.....doing the host's job! I could not relax and talk with my guests since I was constantly looking to see if our drinks and food were ever going to be ready! The cake wasn't served until well after 2pm....and we only had the table until 3! I was going to literally blow a fuse if they dared kick us out! Our "host" seemed totally disorganized and overwhelmed. I understand they were very busy, I was very empathetic, but she did not once say she was sorry, thank you for helping me, or even crack a smile. Once she gave me the bill that was the last I saw of her. I complained about all of this to one of the managers who was apologetic saying the staff had a communication problem, yet did not have the "authority" to comp the extra food we had to order since the kids' food was so late. I asked for a regional manager whom she called on the phone and they gave 10% off. When I finally had a chance to run to the restroom, it was a mess with overflowing garbage and a littered floor. The only reason I would even think of giving this place a 2 star is the kids did have fun in the play area and the food was fair. However, I DO NOT recommend this place, particularly for parties. The concept is great. My 3 yr old loves it. However, what you get is not worth what you pay. It is $9 for over 2yrs old, adults do not have to pay. The play equipment is so filty. I climbed through the play scape and could see an inch of dust on the equipment below. With so many kids going in and out of there, you would think the owners would want it to be cleaned once in awhile. On top of that, they only have 1 maybe 2 rmployees working any of the times that I have gone. Service to order food and drink is slow because they have 1 person preparing food, and the other is checking guests in, answering questions, cleaning spills, and doing the register for the food items. For the price to pay to get in, I would think that the place would he a little better kept. Aso, everytime We have gone (4times in the last 12months) the soap is out in the bathroom and I have to go tell someone. That someone that is running around doing everything else. cannot go there again. the harsh industrial strength chemical cleaning agents they use are the same as we use in the factory (saw the bottle) and caused by young daughter to have an instant reaction (they were cleaning because it was an hour from close and not many kids, saw the bottle). we had to give her benadryl right away and another dose before bedtime. when wife complained before we left of them cleaning with the kids still playing there excuse was that there were not many kids left, when asked for a refund instead they gave us a coupon to come back for free, knowing my child had an allergic reaction, will not go back there unless they change their cleaners!!! read more

Worst experience ever. Been here many times since they opened, but never experienced anything like today. Paid for the laser room, no one was supervising so kids without bands were running in and out. The kids were having fun so I was OK. A mom walks in with her 3 kids who are mad that they can't collect points in laser room cause there's other people there, so her and another mom argued. Other mom left. Then the mom and her kids decide that only her kids go in one at a time while everyone else waits. After a while I went up to counter asked them to come supervise cause a moms telling kids they can't go in. The guy comes out and kicks all kids out but hers and goes back into kitchen area. I tell them I want my $4 back because kids can't even play. Got my money back. When this woman's kids were finally done playing in laser room they move to the playscape where her son bit my son on his left arm. He also kicked my other kid several times because they were in his way. My sister went to tell the manager that these kids are awful. The manager goes and talks with the parents and brings the mom to my table and because I won't show them proof, it never happened according to the mom. Which by the way "their child would never put someone's body part in their mouth that's disgusting, maybe I should go back to playing games on my tablet." I was actually checking my Groupon, but irrelevant.Then she accused me of having kids that weren't even mine running around like they own the place. Also called dumb bitches in front of the manager who did nothing. At this point I said that's it, I want my money back. Then the dad waited outside for us and while he's smoking a cigarette he begins to verbally assault me while walking out with 6 kids. Called me trailer trash , b****, with my 10 kids looking for a free ride with my $800 car and how pathetic I am. My boys were very upset. When I approached the desk demanding my money back I was told that parents have physically fought in here before so what is she(worker) supposed to do. I suggested she kick the family out but I was told they don't do that. So instead I got my $20 back and my sister got her $32 back. Absolutely furious about this. read more
