Awesome service. There were only like 2 people working but the main young man was busy running around and yet still being attentive and checking up on each person. He is very personable and helpful, and even gave his card to contact them to check on any fabric inventory. Apparently you can text or email them a pic of a fabric you are looking for and they can confirm if they have it. Usually they require you to order at least 2 yards per fabric, but when I was there, they were allowing a minimum of 1 yrd per fabric due to this whole COVID situation. They have A LOT of fabrics at very low prices, mainly hawaiian, solids, and local (with some asian) prints. Definitely recommend checking this place out. read more

June's Fabrics was featured in the Hawaiian Air magazine. Even though the store was 35 minutes from where I was staying the trip was so well worth the travel. The hundreds if not thousands of bolts of Hawaiian and Polynesian prints and colors were incredibly amazing. The store brings "fabric heaven" to a whole new level and is definitely not for the faint of heart. Customer service was very helpful, very sweet, very humble. I was there yesterday around 12:30 pm and they were open. The workers all wearing masks and practicing 6 feet distance, was allowing only 1 customer at a time. Luckily I didn't have to wait. I got my double fold bias tape packages (which they had on many colors) and left. There were about 2 people waiting outside. I came across this place of business shortly after Fabric Mart in Aiea had shut down their shop for a short time while they could figure out how to smoothly run things due to the Corona-19 Back to my review. As I was saying I came across June's Fabric after my cousin had suggested I go here to check it out. I must say I was pretty amazed on their selection of fabric. The only down fall is that you have to purchase a minimum of 2 years and that's a bit excessive for small projects. Everything ran smoothly, service is super fast, and check out even quicker. **recently order some fabric online in the late afternoon and I was super surprised that it arrived the very next day. I went in for palaka print and looked at their selection on line before coming in so I was aware they had 100% cotton and poly blend. I only wanted 100% cotton. Big selection. Helped right away,HOWEVER with 2/3 three of my color choices I was given poly blend and charged for cotton. I made it very clear I didn't want poly blend. And to be charged for cotton on top of the error is ridiculous. read more

Throw out your first impressions because although the place is not fully enclosed and with ac like your department stores, they have a vast selection of Hawaiian prints. I was actually there on the hunt for Asian prints. It was an underwhelming selection, but I found a red/white/gold one. Really nice for I think it was $12/yd. (edit: Fast forward several months, I found the exact same fabric at Kaimuki Dry Goods for $7/yd. Upon discovery, I suddenly felt lame and over priced. I came in today to look for a fabric to re-upholster some cushions. I have very little fabric experience.. The family that owns the shop were extremely kind in helping me find the section and even looked at photos of my project, offered suggestions on amount of fabric, and gave an overall friendly experience. Besides the supplies I needed (which I found) they had an IMMENSE selection of fabric, specifically Hawaiian fabric. Found this place by accident. Was truly in awe of their large high quality selection of fabric. This place will certainly come in handy when the wife comes up with another crafty project idea. The missing star is due to some of the staff not being to friendly, at one point I felt as if I was not allowed to be there. I've known of Jun Fabrics while they were back at North School Street during my elementary days and thank heavens they moved locations. They are at a much safer neighborhood and lots of parking and a huge warehouse full of fabrics! This location is a little bit hidden but it is right across Tamashiro Market and right next door to the Elementary School. My reason for going on a fabric hunt was for my son's 1st Birthday party. I choose to want to make this backdrop for the photo booth just so I could save $1,000! Yep I think I've been to every fabric store on Oahu and this place should have been my first stop. As we get there we are already greeted by these ladies and just let us roam around and that was nice to have a little bit of freedom and not be hassled right away. But of course I saved us some time and asked if they had any Red and White stripe fabric and of a lady gave us direction on where to find it. She told us walk straight down and take a right and I was really impressed on how well she knew the place. We did as we were told and Bam there it is. We grabbed the roll and told her how much we needed and she was very nice and told us how much and even made small talk with us. She asked us what we were gonna use the fabric for and she was very playful with my son which helped a lot given he was already being fussy. I would definitely recommend my friends here if they ever need any type of fabric. Their selection is huge! Fabric everywhere on top of fabric and the second time I came for more fabric a gentlemen helped us and gave us just the same excellent service we had our frist trip. read more

I came here because my daughter started taking DIY classes so I stopped by to check out their fabric choices. I read some other Yelpers reviews and hoped to find some trendy prints like chevron or bright neon pink but all I saw was walls and walls of hawaiian prints. I really don't mind hawaiian prints at all I mean I do live here in Hawaii and it's to be expected. But there are so much more prints out there other than hawaiian!!! I do love the prices here. Maybe I didn't look hard enough. This place is right next to an elementary school. Don't expect air conditioning it is a warehouse. The workers are very friendly and will help the best way they can. So glad I found them again. Used to go to the School St location and thought they retired BUT they moved & thank goodness when my 40 year fabric stash was depleted making masks for family & friends. I secretly am hoping my review doesn't mean long lines again so I should go this next week of "stay safe, stay home". There is a 2 yard minimum sometimes but prices are fair. read more

I came here to find some authentic Hawaiian prints but all I found were very commercial prints that can be bought at any store. I also saw more Micronesian prints then anything else. Because the store was so big I was expecting a nice selection of other fabric types but did not find much. They do have a good selection of sewing add ons though. I do plan on going back again just to see if there selection is has improved and because the owners did greet me once I walked in and asked if I needed help (Better service than a lot of fabric stores I've been to). read more

As the music director at St. John Vianney School in Kailua, I came to June Fabrics through the recommendation of a friend. We were in need of custom palaka-print aloha shirts for our band and orchestra uniforms, and had planned to work with another company who quoted us $35 per shirt. Upon finding out we only needed sixty-seven shirts, the company dropped us just weeks before our performance season. We were desperately in need of some new uniforms and could only find comparable shirts for $70+ per shirt. We contacted June Fabrics, and within one day, our order was in production. We ended up paying less than $35 per shirt and received absolutely superb-quality products in only two weeks. June and her husband were so helpful and very appreciative of us. Seriously the best fabrics at the cheapest rate! Any other store sells these fabrics close to $5 a yard here it's still the good ol $3/yard.. The workers are the sweetest. They will follow you to help you. They will make sure your color matches and YES it is that hard to match a shade of color! Lol. Great prices on quality fabric. Wide selection of Hawaiian prints all priced less than the competition. We checked out a few other places while we were on Oahu and this place had the best value. They had a lot of the same prints that we saw in the other stores as well as some really unique prints. Most of the patterns that come in various colors are displayed on the wall so you can see all of the available colors. They also have pre-made outfits, shirts, dresses, and toddler dresses. All reasonably priced. The service was friendly although aloof but it might have been because we came in at the last minute on Labor Day. We will definitely come back to June Fabrics when we come back to Oahu. Don't waste your time driving around the entire Island looking for a better fabric store. This is the one store you should stop at if you only have time for one. read more

Bought interface yesterday. Decided to head over to June Fabrics because it's actually the closest fabric mart to me so I found it pretty convenient especially since traffic's sooo bad around 4pm. I get there and the guy rudely says "What do you want?" I told him I peviously called for the interface and he said "ok, follow me." I follow him and he asks me what am I making. I specifically told him I'm making collars. He then shows me the interface and tells me the minimum I can purchase is 1 yd. Sooo, okay, 1 yd it is. Turns out, I need fusible interface and the one he gave me was non stickable interface so technically I wasted $4 on interface that will now be sitting around. It's my fault for not asking him if it was fusible, but for him to ask me what project I was sewing, he probably should have pointed me towards the right direction esp since he was 'helping me'. Since it is partially my fault, I give 2 stars. I may go back there because of the variety of hawaiian and polynesian fabrics there is there. Other than that, If you do go there, be sure to know what you're looking for. read more
