I then texted them on Monday asking for an appointment on the same day or the following. I got no response. I did not realize that they are closed on Sundays/Mondays and that weekend was MLK day. Well a week later and nothing. The least they could have said was "sorry we don't have anything available until whatever date.. or I'm sorry we are closed but we'll get back to you during business hours".. Very disappointed. The phone wasn't ringing off the hook, they had a steady but not overwhelming flow of customers and pets coming and going. There was plenty of places to sit, and a kid friendly play area. We are a family on the move every 1-3 years, so we have lots of records from multiple states and countries for two different dogs. They spent a great deal of time reviewing each and making sure they only received the vaccinations they needed. Both my dogs have health issues, they took the time to get to know both my pups, and we discussed a treatment plan for my older dog. I left feeling confident that I made a good choice for my pups.

The shelter is running a special throughout the month of June (2016) where all cats are $20 (this includes micro chipping, neutering/spaying, and shots). The facility is clean, the caretakers are nice, and the process is easy. Visit during the week if you dislike crowds, because on weekends they get packed. Pro-tip: they take cash or check only. No credit cards. Be prepared because you'll probably find at least one animal here that'll capture your heart!!

Almost a week later I received a call back and didn't even know what the lady was talking about until I remembered that I had been looking for a groomer the previous week. She was sort of rude when I didn't automatically know who she was and I had to ask her to repeat herself. I had to ask "Are you a groomer?" when I finally realized who it was. She had an attitude in her voice the whole conversation. She asked me what I needed for my dog. I started with my puppy telling her what I would need exactly. I cannot really put my finger on what it was in her voice but she made me uncomfortable, like she wasn't listening to me as I described my dog. She made me feel like I was putting her out and she was too impatient to discuss my needs. Because of the way she made me feel just by the phone conversation I didn't even bother asking about grooming for my other dog who is elderly and needs a lot of special care. I felt like she would have been way too impatient with my pets. I cut off the conversation after the over priced quote (almost double what other mobile groomers had quoted me) I received and told her I would let her know if I would need services. She said something to the effect of "Ok. Fine, Bye" You lost my business because of incredibly unprofessional and rude telephone etiquette.
