Wing-Ki Lee MD - doctor's office

Wing-Ki Lee MD

(5 reviews)

Took an elderly relative here for a visit about 3 years ago. I didn't write a review sooner,…read morebecause (1) I didn't remember until driving by the office the other day, and (2) this practice didn't have a yelp page back then. Just DO NOT COME HERE. You've been warned. Don't do it. You have to wait at least one HOUR to be seen. The receptionist is so used to the doctor being so behind, she doesn't care that patients have to wait. It's become commonplace- so sad. Next, when we get in there, the doctor says sorry he didn't have time to read the notes on the patient, so time is wasted by the patient telling him their history again, because he's too behind or inept to read the notes. This is bad care, ESPECIALLY for mental health care. So sad. What if you had a dangerous, unstable patient? They could not get their proper care. Then, as I'm watching the patient share their story, the doctor looks like he's nodding off (YES YOU READ CORRECTLY), I yell out- are you sleeping?! He said yes, he's so tired these days. I tell him if you cannot be a professional doctor and do your job, I am leaving with my kin and reporting you to the State Department of Health services, the State Health Board, and my health insurance company. This is horrible treatment; he also is way too old to be practicing- if he cannot manage his workload and stay awake. Please do the world a favor and RETIRE. This is NOT good health care. What a waste of time and money.

This is devastating news, and I wish his family well. If any of his loved ones are reading this, please know he made a significant impact on me during a time when I most needed it. Dr. Duncan was listed on my healthcare provider list. I left TWO messages without a return call…read moreabout 6/7 days apart. The voicemail said the Doctor was out of the office on the last few days of January, however my calls took place mid February. On the 3rd & final attempt about 2 weeks after the initial call, someone finally answered the phone. When I told the woman who answered that I wanted to set up an appointment with the Doctor for medication management she immediately asked what my insurance was. I stated Blueshield PPO. She asked me if it was through Covered California or LA Care. I stated Covered California. She immediately told me that the Doctor hasn't taken that insurance since January 2017. I asked if the doctor had a sliding scale and she told me that the first visit was $300 and that rash initial visit depending if it was 15min or 30min was $125-175 cash only. I rate this zero stars on customer service and zero stars on trying to offer help to someone who obviously needed some medical attention. If a person is calling seeking help & treatment... don't be rude. You could obviously be the last person that the ill were speaking to, and they could be in serious need, to the point that may have taken this call personally and have taken their own life. Be more considerate dear little miss phone answerer.

Dr. Helen Duncan is a wonderful doctor. She not only prescribes the drugs that help me with my…read moredepression, anxiety, and mood instabilities, but she also LISTENS. This is very rare in a psychiatrist, whom usually just prescribes medication. Both my husband and I see Dr. Duncan (separately) and we are BOTH so satisfied with her, that, even though we have moved over an hour and a half away, AND she no longer accepts our insurance, we still continue to see her. She's the BEST!!! Highly recommend!!

He's extremely patient, takes the time to really listen, and is thoughtful in how he responds to your needs rather than rushing the process. I came into therapy knowing I had a lot of healing to do, and Michael met me exactly where I was. His calm presence and genuine care made it easier to open up and work through things at my own pace. Each session felt intentional, supportive, and grounding. If you're looking for a therapist who truly listens, respects your journey, and supports real healing, I highly recommend Michael.

I've been to highly regarded therapists who spread out meetings for months, consuming unnecessary time and investment. His superpower is that he epitomized complete altruism with laser sharp discernment and focused attention that facilitated deep healing of emotional wounds so buried I didn't even know they existed. He also leaves the door open for further growth and healing without feeling locked into a contractual relationship. Honestly he should patent his Method for all coaches to follow! I give him the highest possible rating and encourage others to not hesitate reaching out to him.
