It accomodates all major athletics events and a memberhsip for a year is very cheap. Many of the coaches are voluntary and so are willing to help as much as they can. The thletics centre is open to people of all ages. There is an event for everyone and if you cant decide on just one they do have multievent days a few days a week. The standard of teaching is very good and everyone seems friendly. It is the best place in berkshire to do athletics.

They offer a swimming pool, tennis, badminton and squash courts, trampolining, a well equipped gymnasium, fitness classes, a children's soft play area - Cheeky Charlie's, a creche, children's party facilities and much more. Entrance fees are affordable for a whole family and they even offer 'Advantage Card' discounts with the Advantage Card being a multi-discount card issued by the borough. There are two main play areas, one for toddlers and another for older children up to around 12…read moreyears. The provision is soft play areas, ball pit, slides, climbing apparatus and so on. The area for older children has a separate area within which is meant for the under-fives. Positive aspects about this venue are that the play areas can be seen from a central area where parents can sit and have refreshments that are available on site. The overall layout is good. It is worth noting that you are asked not to consume your own food and drinks there. Another positive is that there is ample parking provision. Less positive was the lack of enforcement of the age restriction rules for certain areas that meant that the younger children were being roughed-up by over-excited older children. This was my first and only visit to this venue and it was during the school holidays. It was extremely busy but I imagine that it is a more pleasant experience during term time.

It wasn't too busy and there was a nice safe toddler area for her to play without older children as there is also a 2-5 years area to keep them occupied. There seemed to be plenty that would amuse the older children too - even some electic motorbikes. Would definitely recommend it to someone with children wanting somewhere their children can let off steam whilst they have a coffee!
