Heidi has been such a blessing to our family! She worked with my son when he was 3 years old and…read morewithin a couple sessions I saw an immediate improvement! She was wonderful with him and he genuinely looked forward to meeting with her every week. She made learning fun and always took the time to speak with me afterwards to go over everything she had worked on with him. She would also print various sheets for me to work on with him at home and stressed the importance of learning through play. So even when I was working with him at home, he would enjoy it. As my son was finishing up with Heidi, my daughter began working with her. My daughter has a more extreme speech condition than my son - at 20 months old (when she started with Heidi) she really wasn't saying much at all and barely even making simple animal sounds. Again, within a couple sessions, I noticed a huge improvement! She is still seeing Heidi and due to her condition will probably be with her longer than my son, but each time we go, I see a new development. Just like my son, she looks forward to seeing Heidi each and every week! I was a very nervous mom with my daughter since she was not really verbal at all in the beginning and I'm not sure how I would have managed if it wasn't for Heidi. She was (and still is) constantly reassuring me and calming my fears and worries. I am so extremely thankful to her for everything she has done with both my kids and would recommend her without hesitation to anyone who thinks their child might need it. She has so much experience and will tell you right away what your child needs and talk you through it the entire time. Look no further, the best thing you could do for your child is take them to the wonderful care that you'll find with Heidi!

The hiring process was simple and the typical paper work required to work there. In addition you are required to take a sample tests to gauge your knowledge of the subject you wish to tutor. The advisors will provide with whatever you need in order to enhance your teaching by any means. They have gone above and beyond for me to the BEST of their ability. Downsides: Like any other tutoring gig, you'll get a student if there is a need for a subject. My speciality classes I taught were: Global and United States History Regents, Biology Regents, 3rd grade to 5th grade English Language Arts. However, the need at the time was normally Math and Science. So if you specialize in these areas, please apply here. Granted, you need to constantly contact the place and speak with the supervisors to see if there any available students. Advice for tutors: Be passionate about your subject, LOVE what you teach and do it for expertise in what you know. NOT FOR THE PAYCHECK. If your passionate of what you love, make it fun and enjoyable, I can promise you the students will look forward to coming back to see you.

The best tutoring service possible. This is not only the very best place to bring students for…read moreremedial help but also to keep advanced students at the top of their game. My own son fell into both groups. It must be a statement of the real devotion of the tutors at Hilltop that he actually enjoyed and anticipated the meetings. His tutors not only improved his work but led him into new and advanced areas that added extra polish and excitement to his outlook. They are the very best I have seen and as an educator myself (college professor 15 years at Ivy League colleges) I have seen a lot. The communication and staff are really extraordinary. A+

She improved dramatically. Her ACT composite score went up from a 31 to a 35! We owe it all to Dave! Without his incredible guidance and support, my daughter would never have achieved this success. Dave was also an incredible help with the college application process. He helped my daughter create the best essay possible for her common application. Dave wrote us summary notes and suggestions after every session. His follow through and dedication were truly exceptional. The team at Hilltop is amazing and we owe all of our daughter's success to Dave Lemmon and the entire Hilltop Tutoring team. Thank you!

It's a great place to take kids, and admission is free! The museum has exhibits, hands-on interactive displays, a cool night theater show, and a children's discovery/play room. You could also observe many beautiful and exotic bird species fly to and fro around the bird feeders out back through a large window. Upstairs are classrooms and a small library area. There are many hiking trails, including the Sensory Trail, a child-friendly 0.3 mile loop with special sensory exploratory features such as talking kiosks, musical play, and garden structures. There is also a playground and picnic areas in the vicinity. In addition, if you care to explore other parts of this 2,000+ acre reservation, drive or hike to nearby Watchung Stable to see the horses and riders; and for sure visit the Deserted Village of Feltville, a can't-miss area of Watchung with historic buildings dating back to the 18th century, and is a cool stroll.

They have a park nearby too which is walking distance. The center itself is cool, has a kids toy play area, a reading section and another section to learn of different animals - fake and real.
