So my former dentist totally messed up. They put a crown over a tooth that should have had a root canal. 10 months later the crown fell off. I was miserable and in pain. I contacted Dr Cho and let me just say I was blown away by how professional, knowledgable and caring she was. Office: the dental office is clean (I'm a germaphobe). All the dental assistants including Dr Cho change their gloves whenever they left the room. The old dental office I went to wasn't as sanitary. I digress. Dr. Julie Cho is the best dentist I've ever met! I've always gotten my bi-annual check-ups at a different dentist every time because I was in search for that perfect dentist. Dr. Cho will do only what's necessary for you! I've experienced other dentists pushing me to get veneers when it is purely cosmetic and I did not feel a need for them. Dr. Cho will explain all your options but never make you feel uncomfortable and instead, let you make the final decision. She was also the least painful dentist visit I ever had! I had been a patient for nine years. Dr. Cho is affable and did make herself available for non-scheduled visits. However, I had been complaining about pain in a tooth. She determined the pain was coming from the tooth behind. I repeatedly asked her if she was pulling the right tooth to which she replied, "That's the number one reason dentists get sued." Suffice it to say, she pulled the wrong tooth. She offered to do the root canal and the crown for the tooth that was giving me trouble. I had lost confidence in her work and went elsewhere. I was not looking to sue her. I did request reimbursement for the outlay of money for the extraction. She refused stating that would be admitting a mistake. read more

Recently moved to Manhattan. After a severe infection on vacation I returned home and needed a dentist in a hurry. I got really lucky in finding Dr. Cho. She made the right referrals and over a period of months was able to assist me in full recovery, implantation and general dental care. Dr. Julie Cho is the best dentist ever! I have a major problem with teeth grinding and received consultations from two other dentists before I met with Dr. Cho. The first dentist told me I should get a night guard and she said it would cost $1,000. The second dentist recommended that I get botox so that my jaw muscles will no longer be able to grind my teeth. Dr Cho said that trying a night guard first is the best method and she only charged $500 (because my insurance did not cover it). She said she has no idea why any dentist would need to charge $1,000 for a night guard (and it was the same brand too!) I will be seeing Dr. Cho regularly now. She is patient, answers all your questions thoroughly and most importantly, is honest! I have already referred all my friends to Dr. Cho! read more

My God, the last time I had my teeth cleaned it took 2 hrs. and required two appts. Martha cleaned my teeth -- first time in 3 yrs. -- in less than 40 mins.! I've never had anyone X-ray me more swiftly. And Julie is just fantastic. She thoroughly elucidated an issue I've been experiencing with a bad crown that my previous dentist (in L.A.) didn't, or couldn't, or whatever. I've been a patient of Dr. Cho's for nearly 10 years. The dentists and hygienists at this practice are superb. Dr. Cho is professional and caring. (She also has a great sense of humor.) I was worried about "achy" teeth and she said, "Come on in and we'll look at it." While nothing was wrong, I had a greater sense of relief. I've had one filling and I was completely stressed/worried when I was told I would need a filling. Yet, Dr. Cho did the filling immediately with her assistant Emily. I was sweating buckets (literally and figuratively) and when Dr. Cho said, "We're done." I was like "Wait that was it?" They are VERY gentle; Patti the hygienist uses the most gentle touch as does Dr. Cho. I never have to wait, and the office is clean and efficient.
