Best bodywork I've ever had! Super professional, and very helpful. Would definitely go back to DC just for an appointment with Julian!

I originally went here to treat my pain and to understand which approved pain procedures I might be a candidate for (e.g. spinal cord stimulator). As a chronic pain patient in a great deal of pain, I've never been treated as poorly as I was here. They really had their own agenda. For example, a week or so after my first appointment, I received a call from a businessman on behalf of Katalyst pain clinic, asking whether I was interested in a novel treatment for my pain. When I asked about the cost, he told me it was $10,000-$12,500 - with no insurance reimbursement. This is fine to know for the future, but I needed to get out of pain now, using my insurance. It felt humiliating to repeatedly request both in writing and verbally that I needed to stick to what my insurance would cover, at least until I had a new job. I'm responsible to pay the bill, after all. I was disappointed in the care provided, the unprofessional demeanor, and frankly the attitude demonstrated by Dr. Buettwell (embrace patient, argue with patient, discard patient). I never did learn about my other approved treatment options - only the off-label peptides and platelets they push. Apparently, some things are more difficult than medical school.

Dr Sturm has put together a wonderful team of employees who are absolutely great at their Jobs. The atmosphere is relaxing and when I'm in pain that's so important to me. Dr Sturm gave me an injection in my shoulder last week and for the first time in a very long time I was able to sleep through the night. I went on u tube to try physical therapy first but it didn't work. I'm going for a MRI this afternoon. I've had surgery on this shoulder about 10 years ago and was told not to injured it again but life happens. Knowing Dr Sturm and his team are going to be there for me means so much. I'm not as scared anymore. Thank you everyone.

Never heard back, 3 weeks later I called they said we are a small office and not accepting new patients! Then I got a bill for 10 lab tests at $56 each! Don't trust them.

Fast forward and we get a bill for hundreds of dollars because they billed the appointments as though he received a surgical procedure which he did not. The Dr. was in the room with us for maybe 7 minutes and slathered a cream on my son's foot and put a bandage on it and that was it. They also said I only paid half of what I actually paid at the time of the appointment. I contacted insurance and they suggested I file an appeal with the drs office and the insurance company. When I called the drs office the billing department said they could not do anything since insurance paid the claim but when I told them about the appeal o was filing with insurance she then said she could submit it to be reviewed by the billing manager. If you go here, pay attention to the billing department or you may end up overpaying. Oddly enough I got a phone call shortly after I posted this preview and I figured I'd come back to share that a phone number from "china mainland" called me and it was someone calling from the billing department at advanced bone and joint... totally bizarre.
