She was able to make me feel totally relaxed so that I was able to follow her guidance easily. The sessions were not only relaxing, which helped greatly with general stress levels, but working with her allowed me to be myself, to let go and to trust that she was taking me through a transformation or shift. When each of the sessions were finished, I felt a clear sense of that shift and was able to go about my day, free of the emotions that were otherwise getting in the way. Very liberating! With confidence, I highly recommend working with Sage. She is empathetic, compassionate, and gentle but also thorough in getting to the heart of the matter and helping work through the issues at hand.

Sage possesses a deep knowledge of her craft, and even her name is synonymous with wisdom. A major component of her strength stems from the difficult challenges she has personally faced and overcome during the course of her lifetime. She draws upon this experience to bring a genuine understanding and sensitivity to my needs. My own journey has sent me through a series of hardships over the past several years (health issues, divorce, anxiety, financial loss, sleeplessness, a major career change, etc.) and every time, Sage has confidently helped me reframe my perspective of things. No matter what I am going through, she has strategies to offer me hope. While it is always up to me to actually implement the plans, Sage is an invaluable and trusted resource to design these blueprints for action. She motivates me to do well, to question my preconceptions, and to be action-oriented in my own life. I am truly fortunate to have found her and I am so grateful for her healing advice and counsel. Sage has made all the difference in the world. I highly recommend her.

I used Bluestone Psychological Services for an approximately two month period from September to…read moreNovember 2021. I was having some resurgent trauma-related problems from being assaulted in the past and was seeking guidance through them. Calling to set up an appointment was straightforward, I had read the online profiles of the professionals and asked if I could see someone in particular (as of writing this review on Saturday 17 June 2023, the person is no longer listed as working at Bluestone). After describing my situation to the receptionist, they said that it sounded like the person I was requesting could be a good fit. So we scheduled an intake appointment in an online format due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At the first appointment we set up weekly sessions thereafter until I was feeling confident enough to part ways with the therapy about two months later. I received a bit of talk and EMDR therapy in my sessions. The therapist was never short with me and I found the treatment effective for helping me work through my problems. She was professional in our sessions and never prying. I have continued to use some of the things I learned in the sessions after stopping the therapy sessions.

I felt that she was very impersonal and straight to the point. I never felt that much compassion from her. In addition, I felt that she did not have great bedside manner or manners with me at all. I felt her customer service to me was not that great. I had to cancel at the last minute a couple of times due to an emergency, and the practice and Dr. Peng told me they had to charge me a fee. Bluestone showed me no mercy, and Dr. Peng did not seem to show me any either. I felt that she also did not properly understand my conditions either. I also didn't like that when I made no follow up appointments with her that Dr. Peng reached out to me multiple times and asked me if I was interested in continuing with her. Well obviously, if I have not called you or made an appointment with the practice in months, it's evident I am no longer interested. In the end, I am glad I left. I would not recommend this practice or Dr. Peng at all. In my opinion, they have no understanding for when life situations come up and I did not feel there was good communication or compassion towards patients either by either Dr. Peng or the staff of bluestone.

Recovery Allies is the best value we've used in our family's recovery journey. The staff works hard to communicate, assist & find the best treatment for each family. During my intake, they sent me straight to the ER. When I came back they said that they wouldn't do anything for me but I could stay under their care until I got into a residential facility, even though they wouldn't help me?. The medical rooms are very small and one of the nurses was super new and had no idea what they were doing at the time. The staff were soso. Very few were nice, the main bht that worked with the adolescent unit was very sweet and the main nurse was very hard working and amazing. The other staff were, I feel, in it for the money and didn't fully give the emotional side recognition. While they say they do DBT and CBT and other kinds of therapy, they include maybe one session a day. The kids sit on their phones or do alternate activities/ don't pay attention. Sometimes the group leaders would give in and try to get them engage by playing games that don't have correlation with therapy. They only have two therapists for the adolescents and you are randomly assigned a therapist which gives you little to no room to be comfortable. My therapist, had an awful style of therapy. When she would call me in weekly, we would sit in silence and she would ask me if I had anything on my mind, me being the quiet kid that I am, usually would say nothing. When I did talk, she would just smile at me or give a nod. It was so awkward and honestly difficult for me. I already had a hard time with therapy so it drove me further from it. Once I opened up about I was losing hair from malnutrition and how I was (obviously) upset and she laughed at me and told me I knew what I needed to do. While she was right, you can't just say that to someone who is very mentally ill. They also let me get away with eating so little there, though I was on a small meal plan, they wouldn't try and boost me when I didn't eat. During meals, staff would also call out kids who were staring off or avoiding their food from across the table and ask them to talk about it to the group, which for me and probably others was triggering. Also It was embarrassing. They could've came up to you individually which would've been more comfortable and helpful. As far as food goes, they would primarily serve us processed packaged foods with little to no nutritional variety. Their dinners were okay, but only when they had catering. They used the term "all foods fit", which sure it could be true but not serving a variety and only feeding disordered kids processed foods is not healthy. Calories were out for everyone to see, meal plans were known, it was just a setup for failure. Overall, I would say if you need to go to treatment for an eating disorder, I would recommend the Eating Recovery Center, they have both PHP and Residential for both adults and adolescents not far in Bellevue. They are better structured, the staff are amazing, and they care. If the Emily program was better thought through and they had better staff that liked to interact with the kids, they would be highly improved.
