After sampling his decent American style ribs and American style barbecue chicken I petitioned him to serve barbecue Jamaican style. Soon after that he started serving Jamaican jerk chicken. It is the best that I've had and I go back periodically to get this wonderful dish from him. The red beans and rice are also wonderful. I always order up a double serving of this side dish. The Leesburg site is a food truck on the side of Rt. 7 next to the Rt. 15 interchange; not to be confused with his restaurant in Front Royal. Stopped by a bit past noon this past week. Ordered the chicken lunch special. Turns out the chicken wasn't quite ready so had to switch to pulled pork. When the food came out he added a very small piece of charred -- not blackened -- chicken. Pork was good, sides were good, chicken no bueno. Needs to work on cleanliness; pay device was dirty. Nice guy though. read more

My foodie children love his Barbeque. He does beans and rice with anise which gives it a unique flavor.

It's easily the best BBQ in northern VA, and can hold its own against the big names in Richmond VA, NC, and SC. The BBQ and Jerk chicken are very good, but the stand-outs are the ribs and pulled pork - you can tell that a lot of love is put into them and they have incredible flavor. The side dishes of red beans and rice and cabbage with potatoes and carrots didn't look very exciting, but they tasted so clean, fresh, and perfectly done that I found myself wishing other BBQ joints had seemingly healthy sides like these. Do yourself a favor and take the long trip out to Leesburg for epic BBQ. The pitmaster is friendly and I'm as glad to have met him as I was his cooking. As far as seating goes, it's pretty bare bones, so takeout's definitely an option. You can either eat on benches at the covered farm stand right next to it or at picnic tables in the grass by the BBQ tent. read more

Do not use him at Tarara Winery! He can't handle the business! He didn't even give us any serving utensils to use. Try serving beans and rice or mac and cheese with a tiny fork! He was no where to be found the entire evening until it was time to pay of course. We didn't see him once! The food was cold super quick! Some of it was burnt and super icky. He is VERY expensive.
