So last week, I got a black eye. No, it wasn't the boy's fault. Big used to need doggie stairs to…read moreget on the bed (his little 6lb self couldn't make the jump) and I thought Luke would too so I'd kept them. Unfortunately, Lucas being a more physical doggie than Big, he had a habit of knocking the stairs away from the spot I normally put them - namely, into a place I could trip over them should I get up in the middle of the night for some reason. Which I did last Wed, to get some water about 3am, and proceeded to trip over the stairs and go flying smack into the windowsill. Let's just say that interviewing with my eye and now cheek, as the bruising has spread in a lovely fashion, is great fun. Both a makeup artist friend and an eye doctor I happened to meet at my hairdresser's yesterday recommended Arnica. My makeup artist friend suggested the cream version, applied 3x a day, and I went to Willner to see if they had it. Turns out, they do (and only $7) and they also have a dissolving tablet version (very tiny, you take 5 at a time 3x a day, $11). I just got the potions today and hopefully they will speed up the recovery and I won't have a black and blue under-eye and a greenish and swollen lower cheek for much longer. Willner to the rescue, again!
