I took a very picky teen to shop for a special event. She found the perfect dress and saw quite a few other things she liked. I can't wait to return and shop for myself. My daughter was called by the owner and was not given a choice of which pop-up to visit. In the Yelp response the owner mentions my daughter needing a dress for a gala. My daughter never asked for a gala dress. She wanted a gown with tulle for a photoshoot. She spoke on the phone with the owner and was not explained how things went during the consult. When we arrived at the store she talked to the owner and expressed concerns about the heat in the mall and about the style of dresses at the store. During this conversation my daughter, once again was not told how the consult is conducted. When my daughter approached me at the store, she was confused and a bit overwhelmed by her conversation with the owner. I walked over to the first person I saw, thinking she was a sales lady. I asked her if she could explain to us how the consult works because it was our first time and we weren't clear about it. First thing she said to me was, "First of all, she doesn't even want to be here!", pointing at my daughter. I thought for a second this poor lady was confused because she seemed upset at my daughter for telling her about her concerns regarding the dress styles at the store. My daughter approached and started tearing up. I looked at the lady and said, "Oh no, she's now crying. You need to be more sensitive to your customers". In the Yelp response the owner says I was screaming at her and getting on her face, but the only thing I did was challenge her customer service, without once raising my voice. I had my earbuds in because I was listening to Nat King Cole. Who can ever get angry while listening to such wonderful talent? The lady then looked down at me and said, "Who do you think you are?!", I was shocked and asked to speak to the manager. At this she bent down to my level, to speak down to me and continued to ask, "WHO do you think you are?" I'm 51 years old and 5 feet, I have never in my life have been spoken to in this manner. No one has ever gone out of their way to bend their knees to speak to me in a condescending form. At this point my daughter told me the lady I was speaking to was the owner. At the news I took two steps back and gasped!!! The owner treats customers like this? I was ready to leave and never look back but my daughter wanted to end the conversation with the owner. My daughter stepped in and asked me to let her handle the conversation. At her request I walked a few feet away to the counter where a sales lady was standing. I kept listening to Mr. Cole and made sure to enjoy everything I heard. I disconnected myself from the conversation my daughter was having with the owner. In the Yelp response the owner says I treated her employees as less than humans, but she's describing the way she treated my daughter and I, not the way I treated her. I told the salesperson I was sorry they had to work for such a difficult boss. She just shook her head "no". She looked very angry. It never occurred to me she was angry at me. Interesting enough, I was still in shocked at how the owner had reacted without any instigation. I think I was thinking the sales lady looked so angry because of the entire scene. I still don't know. I responded with, "She's not difficult to work with?", once again the lady shook her head "no" without opening her mouth to say anything. So I said, "Oh. Ok. I must be reading her wrong". She just looked at me. I raise chicks for therapy and emotional support so, I pulled a video of one of my latest chicks and showed it to her. At this point, I just wanted this lady to have a smile on her face. The baby chick video was welcomed by her. She smiled and said, "cute". Soon after that my daughter told me it was time to go. I later learned the owner had refused service; which is exactly what my daughter wanted at this point, because she wanted her $50 refund. The owner told her to email her so she could receive her refund. Which she sent a few days later. I wrote a quick review on Yelp warning people to be careful with this business and the owner responded to my review with nothing but lies. She mentions videos of the entire encounter where I allegedly scream at her but I wonder if such videos captured her yelling at me and bending over to talk down to me. In the Yelp response the owner also mentions calling security and us being kicked out of her store. We never saw security and we walked out of the store calmly. I even had a chance to walk with my daughter across the hallway to the Kona Ice stand. My daughter ended up finding a gorgeous dress on Amazon and had an incredible photoshoot. The value of the dress she bought was equal if not better than the dresses at the shop. It turns out we never needed to visit this shop anyways. read more

If you know about small business you know that the BBB is an organization that holds businesses and their customer service to a higher standard ensuring they maintain good public views. This is why she is responding to yelp reviews instead of actually resolving her problems. I have also since been contacted by other dissatisfied customer since my experience who were likewise bullied for stating the truth online. I'm happy to say my other experiences with small businesses have not been these terrible please don't let one bad apple ruin your opinion of small business. I can get more clothes from FN, PRETTY LITTLE THINGS , Boohoo, Forever 21.. and get plus size clotheSSS for 100.00 because of the sales they constantly have.. but I also do know that full figure can't wear plus size clothing that only go up 3x or maybe 4x .. so they have to spend a nice bit.. so I can understand why the clothes are pricey.. plus size prom dresses.. if they start at 400.00 it's because of the fabric.. , the stretch, the expensive stones and gems and that's a lot of work in making those prom dresses or evening gowns.. to fit plus size teens and women comfortably. We're still living in a world where plus size women are not welcomed to shop at certain shops ON PURPOSE.. I truly wish I could give a million stars!! It was my mom's birthday weekend and Summer Lucille and Cassidy went far beyond any conceivable expectations. We got to the store shortly after 11am and went left are 5:45pm. In that time there was cake, laughter, tears, jaw drops,and heart stops. There was full makeup as well as hair and a photoshoot involved. There were balloons, flowers, cards banners..and yes lots and lots of clothes!!! The genuine love we felt from the both of them was amazing and I personally felt like we were just all family sitting around talking, joking and laughing. My mom walked in with her confidence at an all time low ( the actual reason for the trip) and left with an attitude about herself that I haven't seen in so very long!! I was invited to come to this location from a friend who follows the owner on Instagram. IG for this is making the sales and hyping this place up! I Ended up getting this person a gift card and an item. Location is in a shared parking lots there's plenty of parking. The sales associate was not wearing a mask, but was very friendly and good at making sales. The store smelled of cigarettes. It was like someone smoked inside the store. We have two dressing rooms where you can try all clear the items if needed. They do not do any refunds or exchanges make sure you are okay with it before you buy! The clothing is not made to last. It may look good on the manikin and when you try it on, but after my friend washed it one time or wore items once the clothing was falling apart. Yikes. Because of the items range from $40-$200, but the quality doesn't equate to the cost. After one time out the skirt I got for my friend it was coming apart from the seams...I felt horrible however in purchasing cheap items of poor quality for someone. Hope the owner can make some changes like a better seamstress, cleaning the store or not allowing anyone to smoke in your business, etc. The idea and look is great, but there is always room for improvement to make things better and build. read more

I've been following this store on socials for a while but yesterday was my first time going in. I'm so glad i did because it was an awesome experience! I felt so comfortable and found 2 dresses that I absolutely love. The store manager (I didn't get her name) was super helpful and just overall a beauty spirit. As I was leaving she told me about a monthly Friday event at the store which really made my day because she said it's a great way to meet other likeminded women. There's no way she could have known but I am new to Charlotte and working from home in the middle of this pandemic has made it very hard to meet people so I really needed that message in that moment. The clothes were beautiful and stylish and they had something for everyone and every occasion. I ordered a package from them and got no kind of confirmation from the company that my order was placed (just from PayPal) i contacted the company thought the email on their website, after getting no response from them i posted a comment on their Instagram page (since they post something every few hours) requesting for them to check their emails as much as the post on social media. I then got a private message because i was a brand new customer the owner had the audacity to get mad at me for posting to get a update. I want to start this review by first stating that it is not my intent to bash a small black owned business, I can only hope this review reaches the appropriate audience so that corrections can be made for future patrons of this store. I found JuicyBodyGoddess on tiktok, I was in awe of Ms.Summer's attentiveness to her clients as well as uplifting throughout style consultations. I decided as a plus size woman that I wanted to experience this too. I drove 6 1/2 hours both ways from Florida to Charlotte, NC to have a consultation with Ms.Summer. My experience was anything but pleasant, I think I've received better customer service from a street vendor. Upon walking in the store Cassie was at the front register taking a call, afterwards she greeted us and I let her know I was there for a scheduled 12pm consultation with Ms.Summer. She informed me she was not in yet but she would call her; she then stated that she would be arriving shortly and would start helping me until Ms.Summer got there. Cassie came off as not very enthusiastic about helping me once I let her know some of the items she was picking were not things I liked personally for my particular event. I tried on several things but the selection was slim and Cassie informed me if there was something I liked I could always order it in another color and they'd ship it to me. Around 12:30pm I had still not seen Ms.Summer, but I did hear ruffling in the back. I came out to show Cassie another outfit in which she was upfront tending to other customers (understandable because my consultation was supposed to be with Summer). Summer then came from the back and appeared to be cleaning and disinfecting I spoke to her first which I found weird, she only said "Hello, how are you? And that she did not think the outfit I had on looked good" And continued with what she was doing. I then decided that I no longer wanted to patronize this store as the person I had a scheduled appointment with half way greeted me and never apologized for her tardiness or jumped in to help find something. Upon coming out of the dressing room I informed Cassie that I did not like anything (I did like one dress, but decided not to patronize) and she said let me grab Ms.Summer and see if she can help. Summer walks past us tells Cassie she'll show her something (later figured out it was how to give a $50 store credit which is included with the consultation) to which Cassie states "I know how to do that I'm not working with them anymore". I grabbed my store credit, and told them to have a good day. I do not even want to use the store credit because I'm so disappointed in my experience, I drove a long way, paid money to have a consultation just to experience something so disheartening. Just go there. The experience in the store was really awesome! The staff was very attentive to helping out and super down to earth. The atmosphere was so amazing to experience. So often we go to stores now a days, and staff don't care or help. This was such a breath of fresh air. They had so much to try and a variety of styles to fit any plus size babe. One section was giving me fashion nova vibes, then another camilla cabello dreams, and another cottage core fairy tale realness and yess gurl they got faux leather and faux latex fantasy. Other things that really peaked my interest was the handbags, plus size hosiery and fishnets, and sun glasses. They also had rhinestones heels here and there but I'm not sure if they're for sale or decor only. The owner mentioned thinking of selling these lovely feminine candle figurines that were decoration only and I really hope they decide to green light it.
