So, I'm walking around DTLA, hungry and determined to continue eating clean. Juice Crafters to the rescue! I wanted an immune boasting hydrating juice. Recover Me Softly hit the spot. From the first sip, I felt my whole being do a happy dance. Apples, watermelon, carrots and ginger blended together before my eyes, made just for me. Not overly sweet, this 24 ounce pick me up got me through the remainder of my walk. For the early risers, they open at 0630! From acai bowls to juices to smoothies, they can craft something clean and good for you too. Give this place a try.

I had a nice experience here. I was nearby and was itching for a sweet drink that was also filling! They have a lot of good options here I tried the blue bird drink since it had a lot of my favorite flavors and toppings like oats and blueberries! Although this wasn't listed as a meal replacement drink it definitely was filling and I didn't feel hungry for lunch at all. Overall location wise it's right in downtown so I don't think it's worth driving to this specific location it's more if you're walking nearby. But should I be nearby again I will definitely try more of the menu! Thanks to the ladies who made my drink!! :)

Staff is always super friendly. I love that this spot is still operational due to the fact they have lots of competition. Their flu off shot is extra spicy and I love that. Can't go wrong with Fli Off and Wheatgrass shots

Went on a walk with my dog early in the morning and decided I was craving a fresh smoothie. I have never been before so I asked for some help deciding what smoothie I should get considering what I was craving and they recommended "Divine Start". It was okay, no big "whoa" factor. It did take a while but I did see on the menu "please allow 10 minutes" so I appreciated the heads up. But 10.99 for a smoothie? I am just not sure if that is completely worth it. However, the decor is super cute and Instagram worthy. I think this place is more of "I just want to say Ive been and take a picture with the sign" haha... anyone else?? I will probably not be going back but thank you for the smoothie!

This was pretty tasty and refreshing since I was hot and a bit hangry. I ordered the Muscle Builder since it has protein to sustain my appetite. I hope the ingredients were of high quality to justify the $10 price for a 16 Oz. It was worth the try though.

Buenes Tardes Yelp, I officially speak Spanish better than Dr. First Lady . Anyways, I visited Juice Crafters on my quest for a refreshing fruity and delicious beverage. I ordered the Tropix smoothie which is Watermelon Apple and Mint. All in my top 6 fav ingredients. The smoothie is very delicous. One can taste the freshness of the ingredients, it really tastes like I'm drinking straight out of a watermelon! The apple adds a delicious sweetness to my smoothie and the mints kind of cuts it a bit so it balances well. Maybe could could use a bit more mint. I defintely want to come back here to try a protein smoothie! Hope this helps Yelps! This place is great, like drinking out of the fruit right off the tree or bush! Brandon

Went in on a monday and the girl with the glasses really half assed my bowl. Not cool considering it's $15 life's too expensive to pay for a $15 bowl and it being half assed. The base is soup consistency. I hate writing reviews but I feel like I wasted money

Decent juices . The smoothies are better. Just your basic juice & smoothie bar. If you're wanting fresh juices I'd recommend somewhere else

I love the fact that I live next door to Juice Crafters I usually just rush downstairs for a quick Acai Bowl Protien Mix or afterworkout Smoothie. Very fresh ingredients and friendly staff. Thanks! I do have to say the pricing on postmates(pickup) option does differ then in store. Kind of annoying but I just order at the register now. Also they are doing a free turmeric add on for a limited time so try it out! Acai Protein Bowl in the pic

Came in looking for an açaí bowl and was recommended the regular. It did not disappoint. Not too sweet or tart, fruit was fresh and good. Service was pretty quick from the time I ordered to delivery. Had to wait outside for order and wear mask due to new mandates. It was not a big deal since they were pretty quick.

My go to is the Seoul bowl it's so good and perfectly marinated while still being health conscious 5/5. The newer tikka masala has been a fav lately- it's veggie based but the spices and flavor are on point, just as delicious as a non-vegan dish! I think with soy meat it could be even better, I'll see if that's an option next time, but this was 4.5/5. West coast shrimp side is really satisfying and savory. While I am not at all vegan, it can be a fantastic change of pace when trying a cuisine that is not at all my regular routine. Happily, Variable has tons of choices, and we loved what we got. I was drawn towards the 'N Seoul Bowl' (Korean spicy plant based pork, house marinated Kimchi, organic edamame, steamed organic spinach, carrot, steamed broccoli, onion , organic shiitake, topped with green onion and sesame seeds and side organic quinoa). So good, a bit spicy, and so many flavors on the plate it was impossible to not only love it, but I could not finish it, either. That goes from all their dishes. They are big, and in our experience, it came out piping hot soon after ordering it. My companion tried the 'Indian Tikka Masala' (homemade Indian curry, broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, yellow squash, potatoes, cabbage, chickpea, micro green, Served with blend wild Jasmin rice and Indian Flat Bread). Tastes so fresh, hearty, with just enough of a kick to it. I look forward to trying some of their other dishes, too. The burger that the table near us ordered looked fantastic. I gotta think that everything here is pretty dang great.

We were told it's common for tables to get several plates and share. We ended up getting the cheese and pâté to start. Very small portion of the cheese but good nonetheless. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't my favorite or the night. We also got the brownie sundae for dessert and it was VERY rich! Good but too much for just me in terms of richness. Definitely something worth sharing. Overall, 10/10 experience. Valet $15 and on the side of the buildings entrance. Highly recommend this option as parking was difficult for us otherwise.

He checked on us at just the right moments without ever feeling intrusive. The service was as impressive as the food. The restaurant has such a warm, relaxing atmosphere. I especially loved the beautiful ceramic water cups with bird designs--they were so unique and charming. Even the water tasted wonderful! I'm thrilled that Au Lac is still thriving after all these years. If anything, the food tasted even better than I remembered. I certainly won't wait another 12 years before coming back. In fact, I was so impressed that I convinced my husband to come with me next Saturday for dinner! I've tried many vegan restaurants over the years, and Au Lac remains my absolute favorite. They only have a hose A/C in the corner that didn't do much to cool the place down. The food though was amazing! As 2 vegetarians and 1 vegan, we had never seen such an extensive plant based option with not only vegan cheeses but meat substitutes with protein! No wonder they have been ranked #1 for multiple years. The starter bread came in a brown bag and was soft and delicious, especially with the house pesto. You could really taste the basil but it didnt feel too oily. We got the calamari because none of us have ever seen a vegan one on a menu! It was breaded and fried and had a squishy center made of pea protein that I guess simulates the real one? It came with a marinara dipping sauce. I could obly have a few because they were fried and I felt like they were a bit too salty Next the pastas came out - the Pistachio pesto and the fusili with sausage. Both were delicious. The pesto sauce was the same one we had with the bread but the pasta had Pistachio chunks in it as well and generous amounts of pesto. The sausage was chewy and the sauce must've had either the same seasoning or chunks of it blended in because you could taste the same flavor in that as well! We had hopes of trying dessert but these 3 dishes were a perfect size for our party and we had been starving ourselves for most of the day for this (probably due to all the protein included in a usually carb only meal). This waffle is cooked to perfection and it has the perfect amount of crispiness and fluffiness. The oyster mushroom is exceptionally well-cooked with a great crunch without it being too oily. Everything here is always seasoned appropriately. Customer service here goes above and beyond, and I believe (Candace?) saw us on our last visit. She was so warm and engaging, plus she gave some really great suggestions. I wish other restaurants had people like this. On every visit, no matter who seats us, we receive the same warm welcome and friendly service that makes us feel great the rest of the day

Such a lovely little spot. We came in after being out in the rain and immediately felt so welcomed…read moreand comfortable. The cafe itself is beautiful and cozy, and the whole team was incredibly kind. Our server honestly made the experience even better. He was so friendly and genuinely excited about the menu, took the time to explain everything, and gave us great recommendations based on what we were in the mood for. You could tell he really cared about making people have a good experience. The food and coffee were amazing, super flavorful and satisfying without feeling too heavy. It ended up being one of our favorite stops during our trip. Huge thank you to everyone there for making our day so special.

I have had this spot saved for a while and could finally make the drive. Grabbed lunch for my homie…read moreand I but since I was super hungry and excited, I only got 2 pictures; sorry yelp! The cashier was super patient and helpful which I appreciate a ton! The location is on the corner of a lil strip of businesses so a few parking spots which makes a difference. Inside was a small setup but again super cute Here's what we got: 1. The Smokey (10/10) - it's banging! I really wanted to try it specifically because the onion-jalapeño jam got me stuck... and it did not disappoint! 2. The brisket breakfast burrito (9/10) - I asked them to cut both in half since I was gonna share with someone in the streets haha I love burritos, I love vegan breakfast burritos so nom nom nom! 3. Speculoos brownie (10/10) - it's super El Niño so the brownie was hot and ready by the time I landed so it was gooey and delish af I will definitely be back when I can push out to HP to grab refrigerated meets and cheezes! Please come support a vegan business!!

Best of the best…read more Maciel's is a Highland Park gem located on of course York Blvd - this Plant-Based Butcher Shop has been voted one of the best places to eat in Los Angeles and rightfully so. Whether you're vegan (like me), vegetarian or flex (like a lot of the world) this is a spot you should definitely try at least once or at least thrice. Impressive sides, soups, salads, sandwiches (both hot and cold), "meats" and "cheeses"... Not to mention desserts and breakfast items. Love the French Toast!! But that Reuben is a 10/10 and my guilty pleasure. And the meats are plant-based, loaded with flavor and true culinary flare. Maciel herself as well as this eatery combines passions for cuisine, health, nutrition and care all in one in this often thriving vegan-friendly area in Greater Los Angeles. Catch them also at big gathering such as the annual Vegan Street Fair in North Hollywood, Coachella Music and Arts Festival, and Open daily from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm, closed on Mondays. Some parking in their lot, but street recommend if the lot is full on the corner of Aldama St/York Blvd. Gender-neutral restrooms. And open to all.
