The server was attentive and happy to explain the specials and give recommendations to this gringo that may not have understood everything. As we pulled in, the parking lot was 90% massive trucks. As we walked through the doors, 90% cowboy hat-adorned patrons stared at us. It was intimating but I hoped they wouldn't bite. Our server was super friendly and put us at ease. Much to my disappointment, they only serve breakfast before 11 and this was around noon, so I wouldn't be able to try the texas waffle. I went with my back up, grilled cheese and couldn't resist the fried biscuit on the menu so added that to the tab. GF ordered the fried steak sandwich. This was obviously the lunch rush and that became very apparent. It took almost an hour for our food to come out and that really fucked us with the timing of our day. When the food did come, it was delicious. My grilled cheese was served on two thiccc slices of bread with melty american cheese. I would have preferred if the bread was toasted even a little bit. The sandwich was served with ridged chips. Regarding the fried steak sandwich, GF reports "it was heavy but tasty, not what I usually eat". She received tots on the side which were the crispiest tots I have ever had. I don't have words for the fried biscuit. It was out of this world. I can't do it justice by describing it. It was ORGASMIC. I'm glad I probably won't have the opportunity to eat this again because that shit is DANGEROUS. Food was very solid, service excellent, wait was a challenge.
