Had the best time at Judson Mill Play Cafe celebrating Charlotte's birthday. The pizza was great, everything was so clean, they were so accommodating to our needs, the kids had a BLAST! 1st time here and was disappointed with the mess, I get it it's a kids play cafe but I've been to a few and this was BAD. No toys to play the cashiers stand/store, no toys veggies at the kiddo play store... those rooms looked like storage/hoarders closets. Smelled like burnt oil, sweat, body sweat, no circulating air. First time visiting here yesterday for toddler time, and my daughter loved it for the most part! The space is nice and spacious, but it could definitely use some work and better cleaning/maintenance of the equipment. Unfortunately, the customer service wasn't great. I stood at the counter for about 10 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge or assist me. One staff member came to the front to grab a drink while on the phone, looked at me, and didn't say anything or motion for anyone to help. That part was really disappointing. Because of that experience, I doubt we'll be back. We'll probably stick with making the longer drive to Easley for their Kid Play & Café. It may be smaller, but the equipment is clean and reliable, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. read more

Listen, this is not a cute little Montessori space or a pristine children wearing mongrammed clothes made by grandma space. This is for rowdy, fun, feral children who want to play! The facilities are slightly more kept than a public park. The pizza was greasy but good and the drinks were sufficient. Prices were reasonable if you divided the total ticket/person cost. The AC kept up and that's what we needed . If you have young children and want them to be able to wander without close/direct supervision definitely go during school, the big kids aren't watching out for the littles but our group of toddlers had a blast. read more

I have been super curious about this place and I think today will be our first and last visit. Came on a rainy Monday. - Severely understaffed - 40 minutes to get food, took way too long to get someone's attention to pay to get in, ZERO attendants in play area - Kids are completely out of control - this place is advertised essentially as a spot for parents to let their kids run wild and then not watch them at all which is what happens. Kids sending ride on vehicles down the slides, older kids knocking down towers kids are building, pushing etc. - Most of the play spaces are empty because kids have taken all the appropriate toys and moved them into the playground areas which is not surprising but not necessarily safe to have shopping carts in climbing areas and so on. - Kids destroyed men's bathroom unchecked - my husband walked into the bathroom with my son who slipped and fell down because some unsupervised children were playing with soap and water. The floor in there is concrete and I'm just happy my son didn't get hurt. He said it was like a scene out of a movie with soap so deep on the floor that it almost covered his shoes. - Older kids in the baby play area throwing things around so I wasn't able to put my baby in there - Parents who have memberships here look like they just kind of move in for the day. Every table was occupied - half of them with water bottles and lunchboxes and no people...we had to wait for someone to leave to sit down and eat. - Food menu on the website does not match what is available on location Also just a strange note that the people who own the place (or just work there?) have kids running in and out of the office the whole time and I'm pretty sure one of the kids who was playing in the bathroom sinks was one of them (when my husband told a staff member we saw her carry the child out of the bathroom and into the office). Just an extremely disorganized and unprofessional environment. With all of this it did not feel safe for my kids and I wouldn't consider going back unless it was possibly for their toddler only morning. But most likely won't be returning. Also editing now that I've gotten home I realize that my son's pants reek of urine so either the kids peed on the floor or the soapy mess included pee that was already on the floor. A fun and safe environment for kids--both older and younger. This is an excellent value for the experience!

Let me start off by saying the Play Cafe can absolutely get to 5 stars. They have a lot of room for improvement. Pros: -Lots of comfortable seating for parents with good views of the play equipment. - Fun, large play structures that are easy to see into. - Clean - Bathrooms located inside the business -Stroller friendly Cons: - It feels like they rushed to open to grab business for spring breaks. - Playhouses lack a lot. They could be decorated and styled better with more toys in them. Not well thought out. - Cafe not operational. Only a few snacks offered. - Lack of signage with prices or any information - More clear signage needed from outside the building so people know which doors to enter. Parents be warned it's a long walk, especially if you're parked in the back extended lots. Really glad I had my stroller. Please take 2-3 weeks and close down and finish the playhouses and cafe. You'll be ready for summer crowds and lots of business. My kids had a good time, but I'd love to see this place reach it's full potential. read more

Chaos ruled in here today. The line was out the door to get inside. Kinda expensive too, $18 for kids but free 2 and under. Adults are free so that a great thing. I wouldn't want to pay to get into this circus. The kids were having a ball but getting knocked over by bigger kids running around. I only saw 1 staff worker trying to referee the insanity. He was doing a great job as well but there needed to be more staff like him. We ordered food and took almost an hour to get it. Only 1 staff on the cash register. In general kinda messy and bathrooms needed cleaning. Mostly on a weekend there needs to be way more staff working. Next time we will go during week day. Weekend days are way too crowded and hectic. read more

Nice play alternative for indoors. Lots to do and it's nice that they have staff that supervise some areas. It was clean and I liked how they have chairs everywhere. My only complaint is that when we were checking in for a party, it took almost 15 mins for that to happen. Just the waiting process as time consuming and they had 3 people checking in. read more
