I have had this company out three times since I purchased my home. I used them because the previous owner had used them and, truth be told, I'm sorry I did. The first time, they came out to winterize the system. That seemed to go fine. The second time, they came out to get it ready for spring. They never bothered to test their work, and we were awoken when the sprinklers went off to water hammering in the pipes. I called them to come fix the issue, and was charged an exorbitant fee to fix their mistake. When I tried to pay them, I was told there was a 3% "convenience charge" to use my credit card. No, that's called a "cost of doing business," jerks. Seriously, it is the future. Who uses checks (other than the blue-haired old lady in front of you in line at the grocery store)? Save your time and, if you're anything like most of us, your 3% for using your credit/debit card, and find a reputable company. read more

Very shady. They blanket the radio with ads about how they're the best and most reliable in Lincoln, but they won't even come out without charging a $75 estimate fee. They obviously aren't very confident in their work in they have to charge a fee for a simple estimate. read more

I needed a new control station for my Rainbird sprinkler system. I had seen Judson Irrigation vehicles around so figured they were a satisfactory firm so arranged for them to come out. On 7/9/21 they came out and checked my sprinklers out and replaced one head. They also replaced my indoor Rainbird control for 6 stations with a combo indoor/outdoor board when I only needed an indoor controller. I received a bill from them for $177 for labor (not broken down on the bill). Inn calling them this included a $58 service call; a charge of $87 for ¾ of an hour billed at a rate of $116 per hour for the main service person; and $32 for the second person billed for a half hour at $64 an hour. The $116 an hour figures out to $4,640 gross for a week. We all wish we had wages like that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The bill showed $332.92 for materials before tax which per their office included $252.89 for the controller; $76.58 for a module; and $3.45 for a new sprinkler head. Based on limited research, likely a cheaper source of parts is available. Likely if one is going to replace a Rainbird Sprinkler control station, one should get bids to do the project. I would not recommend Judson Irrigation for sprinkler work particularly based on their high labor charges!!!. read more

Used them for years and had been happy. This year they completely overlooked sprinkler heads not working and each time I call them out to solve a problem, they leave half of it undone. I have to keep checking to be sure they did the work they were supposed to do. The workers seem unenthusiastic and lazy. I am seriously consider switching companies after working with them for over 20 years. Very disappointing. read more

They came and installed a Rachio Sprinkler Controller for me. Completely professional check of my sprinkler heads and their correct areas. Helped me make sure that I understood the new app. I have used them for many years to maintain my system. They are prompt and get the job done every year. read more

Technician was knowledgeable and did a good job. The bill however was outrageous. Over priced parts and $200 an hour for labor. Will not use again. read more

I would never refer this company to anyone. I was charged a $41 trip charge that I was never told about. They billed me $90 for one hour of "work" although the explanation of the issue and the work on one sprinkler head took approx. 20 minutes. After 3 calls to the office, I spoke to the owner, who bragged about no one else complaining about the $41 trip charge. Told me they bill from when the vehicle shows up at the front of the house till when it leaves, which includes the time it takes for the technician to write up the ticket. Then told me to pay the $133.48 in 2 days or he would turn it over to collections. read more

Way overpriced! I was shocked when I received my bill in the mail. Was quoted a price by the technician and the bill I received was drastically more than I was quoted. read more

Female homeowners beware. I am a single middle aged woman. People who know me describe me as soft spoken. I recently purchased a home that has an irrigation system designed and installed by Judson. I called them in because I wanted some leaks repaired and heads capped. The technician was the most condescending and rude service person I've ever had on my property. He was in a terrible mood, seemed angry, and spoke to me as if I was a complete idiot. He questioned my request to have lines capped. He sarcastically demonstrated how to program the control box. I showed him the map of the heads in the yard and he took it and informed me slowly, as if I was a toddler, "be sure not to lose this." I regret not telling this technician to get off my property, however I felt intimidated. I did have him fix the broken lines. He spent an hour on my property. The bill that I paid was shockingly high. Afterward I called the owner of Judson to complain about the technician's behavior and attitude. The owner defended his employee and said that I was welcome to do business somewhere else. I have since taken my lawn irrigation elsewhere. read more

Judson irrigation is extremely professional and thorough company. We ran into a problem with our unit and Judson himself came out to replace it and made sure everything was working properly before he left. Excellent customer service. They treat you as if you were family. read more
