I also wanted a balance between Eastern and Western beauty styles, which can be hard to nail -- and Grace absolutely nailed it. I still felt like myself, just the best version. She was also amazing about skin and hair prep, which was so important for our Hawaii wedding environment. Everything held up beautifully through humidity, heat, a very long day (and even a late night dip in the pool). After my trial I shared some feedback (I told you I'm picky), and Grace accepted everything so graciously and thoughtfully -- it made me feel so heard and taken care of throughout the process. Beyond my own glam, she made both my mom and mother-in-law look absolutely gorgeous. They were both nervous because they don't normally wear heavier makeup, and Grace struck the perfect balance of making them feel polished, confident, and still like themselves. She and her team were also unbelievably sweet throughout the morning -- even helping keep my flower girl entertained while she ran around our glam room. Empty promises and unreturned phone calls and emails. At this point I too am considering legal action. Update (I should have done this earlier): after several months, we finally received our photos. Since then, several other people have reached out to me to share that they have had similar experiences. Colin did such a great job that he is now our designated family stylist. The Fix Lounge is clean, comfortable, and cool and Colin is funny and easygoing. Ashley was the hair and makeup artist for my photography business. Her expert work never failed to put a huge smile on my client's face as they got a chance to be pampered and primped. Her work ethic was amazing. I could always trust her to be on time with all of her equipment. She would consult with each client, discussing several ideas until they'd decided what look to go with and then Ashley would get to work making the ladies look and feel so pretty. If I could, I'd move to Hawaii just so I could work with Ashley again. She's really that good. Also, it's very cold here in Nebraska and I could use some warm weather. :)

As the months got closer to my wedding I kept emailing her asking for updates and a confirmation that she would have extra stylists to help her the day of the wedding. She took weeks to respond my email, and text messages. The week of the wedding she said she had us confirmed for hair and makeup. The night before the wedding she texted me saying she was unable to do our wedding because she had to fly home due to her grandmother being sick. Which I understood, but she didn't bother to send the other stylist that were suppose to be working with her, and she didn't help us find a replacement for her. I was fortunate enough to find a much cheaper makeup artist, who did a much better job than Ashely. This was in August and she told me she would refund my deposit. It has been over a month and I still have not received my deposit. She finally emailed me back yesterday saying she would send it this week, but I'm still waiting for it. I would never recommend her!!!
