I've been scheduled for a 20-25 minute follow up appointment that due to circumstances has ended up being an hour. Never rushed. He's helped find underlying conditions affecting my mental health, & treated them. His office staff from Farah, Heather, Richard, etc., are the best in the business! On site lab to draw blood to avoid extra trips. Access to his personal email & phone for emergencies, the list goes on & on. Mayo clinic should be proud of the doctor they turned out. I don't put my trust in many - mechanics to guitar salesmen, and only 3 - 4 times ever recommended hands down anyone on my nickel so to speak, with Cady Wellness, I'm in for the full buck. Counseling, medications, ketamine therapy, and ya can't help but feel better when Farah's beautiful smile is checking you out! Not a pill pusher, but a pusher for a better, fuller you pusher! He's literally kept me in rough times from taking my life & I'm so glad he did. The entire office are angels amongst us & no doubt God brought him into my life. Call today to see a change tomorrow! Tell them "Crazy Matt" sent ya! Thanks to you all!

Other than that my treatment was mostly average, with a few tests and a lot of waiting. Room was very pretty with bright green walls to keep me calm as my anxiety spiked. Bryce K, the security guard assigned to me, was extremely kind and chatted with me when there was nobody else to talk to. Thank you so much!

Despite the floor nurses and neurologist explicitly stating there were zero signs of any mental health issues and that her condition was entirely medication-induced, the psychiatrist refused to even speak to her directly. Instead, he hid behind an assistant and forced an inpatient psychiatric hold anyway. To make matters worse, they do not even properly separate male and female patients in the psychiatric unit, creating an entirely unsafe environment. Separating a mother from her 11-month-old baby and family under false pretenses--while ignoring basic safety standards and the medical consensus of their own care team--is completely unacceptable. This facility's handling of medical versus psychiatric issues is fundamentally broken

I am writing as both a concerned loved one and a mental health professional…read more Our family's experience with Brentwood Springs in Newburgh was deeply concerning and, in my opinion, reflected serious gaps in communication, discharge planning, records handling, and continuity of care. During and after treatment, family members were left without clear information while the patient was still experiencing confusion, cognitive impairment, and withdrawal-related symptoms. In that context, communication is not a courtesy. It is part of safe care. One of the most troubling issues involved the release of information. Family members were told the patient had declined or had not authorized communication. However, after waiting approximately 30 days for records, the release-of-information paperwork appeared to show that the patient had provided the necessary signed authorization. That is not a small misunderstanding. That is a serious contradiction. If signed authorization was on file, family should not have been told the opposite. That misinformation directly affected our ability to support the patient, ask appropriate questions, understand what was happening, and help coordinate safe follow-up care. The discharge process was also concerning. A patient should not leave inpatient behavioral health care while still cognitively impaired and symptomatic without clear referrals, medication guidance, safety planning, follow-up coordination, and communication with appropriate supports when authorized. We were also told records could take up to 30 days to release. In the context of ongoing symptoms and discharge needs, that was unacceptable. Families should not be left chasing basic information after discharge, especially when that information may be necessary to support safety and continuity of care. This was not simply poor customer service. It felt like a breakdown in care at a moment when the patient needed structure, clarity, communication, and follow-through the most. Patients deserve better than vague answers. Families deserve better than being kept in the dark when authorization appears to be documented. Discharge from a behavioral health facility should come with more than confusion, delays, and unanswered questions. I strongly urge Brentwood Springs leadership to review its communication practices, discharge planning, records-release procedures, and how signed releases of information are verified, honored, and communicated to families. I would welcome direct follow-up and am willing to provide contact information privately.

The therapy they use is group therapy, sharing in front of strangers. I've had a very abusive life and I don't want a bunch of strangers knowing my struggles. One woman, when she found out in the meeting that everyone was going to hear her story, she left and never came back, I don't blame her. She drove all the way from another state for treatment. There is a serious mental health crisis in the USA, if you haven't noticed from all of the school shootings, and it's not getting any better. I have been searching for years for treatment for PTSD, anxiety and depression with very little luck. Doesn't surprise me when you consider the father of psychiatry was a cocaine addict.

Dr. Kanan talked about HIMSELF through the entire appointment, spoke of his clients to me like they were collectors cards, wore sweats and a dirty t-shirt, and was 10 minutes late. Also admitted he had absolutely 0 experience in treating people with my issues but took my case anyway because "he was sure he could help" despite it being a complex disorder that requires years of training to treat. Doctor Shannon was much the same during my medication appointment, taking absolutely none of my concerns or precious experiences into account, put me a on a medication that had an adverse reaction to a med I was already on, despite her KNOWING I was on it, totally ignored my attempts to comment on what meds had not helped in the past and spoke over me repeatedly. During both appointments, I was ignored and all attempts to try and communicate with staff were met with glares. I cannot tell you enough that these people do not care about you. You are a number, a billing number specifically. You will not be matched with a competant care provider who is well versed in your condition or issue. You WILL be matched with someone who hears your familial concerns and says "ah, I get it, I'm a family man too. To two fur babies!" As if its the same. Disgusted, exhausted, and overall just worse than when I started after treatment here.
