Also, if he missed 2 months of appointments from June/July, why are they just now sending a notice?!?! If they cared, they would have attempted to reach out to his emergency contact. On top of this, they were charging monthly late fees. As a mental health care provider, you would think they would have the skillset to better handle a situation like this. I would never recommend a place of business this poorly managed and with providers who care this little about their clients/patients. Do better EPA, your patients deserve it. AED machines are often located away from the units, which makes them difficult to access when needed. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, you will often have to await orders from a practitioner to send you to the ER, regardless of condition. I highly suggest to find another facility to assist you in detoxing, since it can become dangerous for some patients. Unfortunately, the only access you have to a therapist (or anything close to one) will be the few minutes a day you meet with your practitioner, either a Nurse Practitioner or an MD. The most you will see them will be thirty minutes or so. You will also have a group session with activity therapists, which are one to two hours a day. You have access to nurses, assuming you are assigned a nurse who cares enough to speak with you in a timely manner or is not too busy to speak with you because of their workload. There are techs on the unit, however they are unable to make any decisions concerning your care. I have seen techs attempt to alert nurses about a patient only for them to be dismissed. This is not to say they are all bad. A good portion of staff really care about patients and are passionate about their their work, or, rather, were, before they left due to the lack of communication between staff and management, the abuse of employees, the lack of empathy from management, the dismissal of patient concerns and the environment the newest round of management has created. And please never send a child here. Often they will shove patients in, and fill up a unit that doesn't even have enough chairs for the amount of patients. Children are also often admitted for behavioral reasoning, which has resulted in several patients being arrested from this unit. A truly traumatic experience for other children on the unit. It is not what I would consider a safe environment.

Dr. Kanan talked about HIMSELF through the entire appointment, spoke of his clients to me like they were collectors cards, wore sweats and a dirty t-shirt, and was 10 minutes late. Also admitted he had absolutely 0 experience in treating people with my issues but took my case anyway because "he was sure he could help" despite it being a complex disorder that requires years of training to treat. Doctor Shannon was much the same during my medication appointment, taking absolutely none of my concerns or precious experiences into account, put me a on a medication that had an adverse reaction to a med I was already on, despite her KNOWING I was on it, totally ignored my attempts to comment on what meds had not helped in the past and spoke over me repeatedly. During both appointments, I was ignored and all attempts to try and communicate with staff were met with glares. I cannot tell you enough that these people do not care about you. You are a number, a billing number specifically. You will not be matched with a competant care provider who is well versed in your condition or issue. You WILL be matched with someone who hears your familial concerns and says "ah, I get it, I'm a family man too. To two fur babies!" As if its the same. Disgusted, exhausted, and overall just worse than when I started after treatment here. ​​

He's helped find underlying conditions affecting my mental health, & treated them. His office staff from Farah, Heather, Richard, etc., are the best in the business! On site lab to draw blood to avoid extra trips. Access to his personal email & phone for emergencies, the list goes on & on. Mayo clinic should be proud of the doctor they turned out. I don't put my trust in many - mechanics to guitar salesmen, and only 3 - 4 times ever recommended hands down anyone on my nickel so to speak, with Cady Wellness, I'm in for the full buck. Counseling, medications, ketamine therapy, and ya can't help but feel better when Farah's beautiful smile is checking you out! Not a pill pusher, but a pusher for a better, fuller you pusher!
